Location - Easy freeway access and dedicated parking. ******************************************************* First off, CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement (or the engagement of someone you love)! Dress shopping can be a whirlwind of stress and uncertainty, especially if it's your first time navigating the world of bridal gowns. After visiting five other shops between the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, I finally "Said Yes to the Dress" at Luv Bridal (Los Angeles). I'm honestly gushing because the experience was just that good. Finding "The One" (Shop, that is!) I found Luv Bridal through a Google search for the best bridal shops in LA. It was ranked near the top, and the article mentioned this is a flagship store. That gave me hope they'd have a massive selection and--more importantly--the plus-size samples I needed. As a plus-sized girly, the struggle is real. It's incredibly stressful trying on dresses that are way too small or don't offer enough "coverage for the girls" to even visualize the final look. Luv Bridal carries up to a size 28, which was well above what I needed. Even after visiting a specialized plus-size boutique nearby, Luv Bridal was the one that delivered. The Logistics (What you need to know) The Vibe: It's in the LA Fashion District. It might look a little "sketch" outside, but don't let that scare you! Parking/Access: There is plenty of parking in the lot behind the store (we even saw a security guard!), and it's right off the 10 highway for an easy getaway. The Space: Modern, clean, and massive. They have hundreds of gowns and about eight fitting rooms, each with private seating for your squad. The Perks: They provide a snack tray and water for your group, plus a dedicated refreshment station if you need more. They have jewelry you can try on to get a better picture of what you and your dress can look like on the big day. (And yes, the restrooms are clean!) --- The Service I called on a Sunday during a holiday weekend and spoke with Diana, who was so kind and informative. She squeezed me in for a same-day appointment and was 100% prepared when I walked through the door. Unlike other shops I had visited, there is currently no charge to book an appointment. Every other shop I had visited charged between $25 - $75 just to try on dresses. I am actually okay with paying a small fee for someone to support me while I find my gown. My stylist, Jill, was a total pro. She looked at my inspo photos, asked about my "hard pass" criteria, and went to work. Trying on dresses with her was actually fun. The whole shop had such a joyous vibe--while I was there, three other brides said "Yes" too! I honestly wanted to apply for a job there just to be around all that love. The Verdict I officially found my dream gown and I can't wait to go back in October for my fitting. Ladies, take it from a former "Elite Yelper": whether you make Luv Bridal your very first stop or your absolute last, **DO NOT MISS IT.** This experience was well worth the 350-mile trip from SF to LA.

This was my 4th and final dress try on stop! I came last minute on a whim (confirmed a day before)…read moreand thought "why not go in for one last appointment justtttt to see some more options". After a while all dresses blend into a sea of indistinguishable white fabric. Luv bridal was such a pleasant surprise that kept surprising us. First, they give you a 90 min appointment and allow for 4 guests. Most places limit you to an hour or 4 dresses max, and 2-3 guests. We were never once rushed, everyone from the second we stepped in was so pleasant and lovely, and high energy, which was a nice surprise as it was a busy Saturday and there's a huge sale going on. Never felt chaotic or like they were dying to get rid of us! My friends and I went to Anthropologie a few weeks ago and the stylists looked so tired despite only having 2 brides trying things on at a time, and an empty relaxed showroom. I didn't mind much because working retail is so taxing and annoying, but it's such a stark contrast to our experience here. The people here are true PROS. Shoutout to Ariel and also Diana who were absolute ANGELS. Ariel is one of the kindest people I've ever met, let alone shopped with. She completely understood my vibe and ideas despite giving her contrasting adjectives like "whimsical" and "classic" and "sexy" and "elegant". She and Diana kept all of these detail in mind and pulled dresses that were so flattering, it was hard to make a decision. But a clear winner was a rare Vera Wang find that was off the rack! They have a free parking lot, offered us snacks as well as waters, and we're so thoughtful to remind us to take photos throughout the appointment. I will recommend this place to every bride I meet. Their selection is incredible, and they are true experts in their fields!

She took my measures and created a gorgeous bridal gown and veil. I am still getting compliments to this day. My dress was affordable but custom and nothing I have seen before! Also she gives you free alterations which I'm grateful for because I lost alot of unexpected weight due to the wedding planning process. Angel is a very busy woman so occasionally she was slow to respond to calls and messages. Besides that I can honestly say I'm so glad I chose Lucky Brides.

The short version is, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. I paid ~$2000 for a custom wedding…read moredress and Angel, the owner, threw in a complimentary veil, bridal robe, and free alterations. The end product was satisfactory, but not without several mistakes and unnecessary stress. Be prepared to be on TOP of the associates as the communication is nonexistent otherwise. While Angel was lovely, her sales associates need training. I wish I could have corresponded with Angel directly, as her associates seemed to not know what was going on/did not communicate. On 8/31/24, I said yes to the dress after having exhausted 6-7 bridal shops in Phoenix. I finally felt a sense of relief. I paid in FULL that day. I signed the paperwork for my dress to be ready in March 2025, two months before my wedding. The next steps were for Yesenia to send a sketch of my dress based on the designs I wanted, within a few weeks. I waited several weeks and when I didn't get anything, I reached out to Enoch (who is no longer with them). He assured me he would get on Yesenia to send the sketch. I didn't get A sketch until 11/20/24, nearly 3 months after I had already paid for my dress, and it wasn't even a sketch of my dress! I didn't get a sketch of MY dress until 11/25/24 and it looked like something she drew in 5 minutes. Very anticlimactic. After A LOT of back and forth on the finer details, I asked if the dress was ready to START production on 12/5/24. I received no response. I sent another email on 12/9/24, no response. I finally booked a flight to LA and SHOWED UP IN PERSON on 12/14 and Yesenia looked surprised to see me. She stated that she had responded production had already started on my dress, and she had sent an email but it must not have gone through. OKAY. I started emailing her again in February asking about the status of my dress: 2/3, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1. 3/1 Yesenia stated she would send me photos of my dress and book my first fitting. She never did send me photos of my dress. I had my first fitting on 3/16/25. I was expecting for all my fittings and the dress to be finalized by this point, but I was just happy there was a dress at all. The leg slit I had asked to be on the right side, was on the left side instead. Because of the way the dress was designed, it could not easily be fixed. They did not apologize for the error at any point. They did offer to REMAKE the dress, however, with my wedding less than 2 months away (5/8/25) and the TERRIBLE communication, I did not want to take that stress or risk. I had also asked for pearl buttons on the overskirt but received satin buttons. Yesenia replied that production had responded on 2/24 (to her) that pearls cost extra; at no point had she communicated this to me. She stated she would have them swapped out for the pearl buttons. On 3/27/25, I sent all the photos of the details I wanted for my veil to Yesenia. Admittedly, there were a lot of details- I wanted a cathedral veil, scallop trim with beaded edge, and for our names and the date to be embroidered. Knowing my wedding date, and that I had to leave the COUNTRY at the beginning of May, Yesenia could have prefaced that all these details would take a month+ to make- but she never stated any sort of time frame. In April, I asked if the original alterations were completed on my dress. Lots of unanswered texts. I had my 2nd fitting on 4/26, the WEEKEND before I was leaving the COUNTRY for my wedding. Luckily the dress came together, even though the leg slit was wrong. The veil was not ready for me to take home that day. Yesenia stated she could have it shipped for $8 or next day shipping for $33. I stated that I would not be paying for shipping over text, and I reiterated this again during the 2nd fitting. She agreed to wave the cost. The veil shipped on 4/28 and I received it on 4/30, a mere 3 days before leaving the country. Luckily the veil was beautiful, albeit the embroidery was smaller than I expected- but everything was spelled correctly (a point I reiterated multiple times via text). At the end of the day, everything turned out OKAY but it certainly was unnecessarily stressful and unenjoyable. I didn't have the dress of my dreams (because of the leg slit on the wrong side- and I didn't utilize the leg slit on the left side) which is crushing when you're promised it and PAYING for it. I don't recommend Lucky Brides for your peace of mind.

My stylist was Alexa and she was amazing! Unfortunately, some of the dresses I wanted to try on wasn't available at the store, but Alexa pulled some similar styles. She was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The appointment lasted one hour. Remember to ask your stylist to measure you! I was going to get measured, but decided to retry on a dress and totally forgot. The dresses are very good quality at an affordable price! I am so glad there is a showroom and feel much better about ordering my dress online now!

I have nothing nice to say about this company. I ordered a dress and it took a month to come in,…read morethe quality was terrible, and it ran really small, even though the website says it runs 'true to size." A size 12 is more like a size 8. The worst part is their return policy. I have to pay to ship it back to Asia, then there is a 20% restocking fee, and another $5 fee for something else. I will never order anything from them again, and I do not recommend them to anyone!
