What a nifty little place tucked into East Falls! I've been following V+V on social media, and finally made it out for a local crafts fair. The greenhouse/coffeeshop vibe is a very welcome sight (and feel - so warm) during the colder months, and some unique features make this a place where you could easily keep discovering new things. Most items for sale (including the coffee/tea) seem a bit overpriced for the area, but it's definitely catering to a niche group. I come here to meet up with friends for a coffee, to work (I work from home primarily and this is my new go-to spot for increased productivity), to buy flowers and plants, to buy gifts, to buy a cookie for my son while we are out for our morning walk, and now, to even just say hi to some of my favorite baristas (who have been so welcoming and kind to me and my family since the beginning - Hi Tiago! Hi Francesca!). I've never been to a place quite like Vault + Vine (what other cafe is this pretty?!). It is the ultimate indoor working space - quiet, calm, smells good (thanks to the flowers, plants, constantly brewing coffee), and you are constantly surrounded by lush greens! It is definitely a place where you can completely focus (unlike the noisy Starbucks locations everywhere) and blaze through your to-do list. I love the greenhouse-like atmosphere in the cafe. There is no music and I LOVE it. Just fresh air, green, healthy plants, and calming people. The baristas greeted me with such genuine enthusiasm and desire to help me pick out a great breakfast. They introduced themselves to me and welcomed me to the cafe. I have never felt so welcome. Absolutely beautiful cafe and store! I loved the welcoming and friendly staff members. The vibe of the store is beautiful with it's bright design and floral covered interior. With a constant stream of people, it seems to be quite the popular spot whether to grab coffee, do work or pick out some georgous plants. Formerly Falls Flowers, Vault + Vine just did the flowers for my wedding about 3 weeks ago. We worked with Alyssa, who is not only a very gifted floral designer, but also the kindest person ever. I had a specific vision in terms of the florals I had in mind for my wedding, and also wanted a large floral installation. We met with Alyssa about 3 times prior to the wedding to square everything away and I truly looked forwards to these meetings. On the day of our wedding I was beyond excited to see my bouquet, and the installation/reception area all set up. When I saw everything I was brought to tears! It was beyond my expectations and Alyssa + team seriously delivered. Aside from nailing the aesthetics, Vault and Vine also went out of their way in terms of customer service. I had asked for our flowers to be donated to a hospice after our wedding, which they took care of and also hand delivered my bouquet to another vendor for them to preserve it. Last thing to note is V + V supports local flower farms, which was important to me and my wedding vision to have everything feel as local and organic as possible, plus its really cool to actually know where your wedding flowers were grown. Moving past my fantastic wedding flowers, I stopped into the shop a week or so before my wedding to check out the new space. It was lovely, and I look forwards to returning often to make my own bouquet and grab a coffee. So Yelp peeps-- slow down on Midvale Ave and stop in! You won't regret it. The greenery in here is gorgeous, and this coffee shop is not dedicated solely to coffee, but is a split between a little greenhouse stocked with all kinds of plants and flowers alongside a coffee shop with (minimal but cute) seating. I got an iced soy latte which was slightly underwhelming in that there wasn't enough espresso and too much milk, but the zucchini bread I got to accompany it was very delicious. When you pay $6 for a drink, you are paying for the environment. W/O internet, it doesn't make sense. I had the privilege of living right around the corner from them when they were Falls Flowers (not that they are much farther away now) and every single bouquet/arrangement I have ever gotten from them has been absolutely beautiful. The recipient is always very happy. The flowers are very high quality. I have learned about new flower types just from getting flowers from them because they always have a wonderful arrangement of unique flowers. When I got engaged last year I almost ran over to the shop so that I could start talking with them about flowers for my wedding. Love this place. What's not to love about coffee while looking at plants? They have a little green house and a selection of gifts/decor items. I love the aesthetic and Ive never had a bad experience ordering from the cafe. The store is super clean and they have clean public restrooms. My SO took me here last weekends for a date and I was amazed by the interior and layout of this place. The front of the store serves as a florist shop where you can choose any flowers, plants, and even homemade products to buy as gifts or for yourself. On the right side of the store is a cafe area where you can get some pastries along with a cup of coffee/tea. The seatings are in the greenhouse which I find interesting and cute. The price is also very affordable and the staffs here are friendly and helpful. What a better place to grab a cup of coffee/latte/tea and a small pastry to complement with the drink while reading a book, catching up with friends, or just simply enjoying the scenery.
