I have been here twice, both emergency situations. My previous dog needed to be euthanized (during a major snow and ice storm) due to increasing inoperable health issues and old age. I was met with compassion and I could feel the love from the staff, even though they did not know my baby. It helped immensely during the worst day of my life. I sent my boyfriend in to pick up his ashes a week later and the nurse hugged him while he cried, and shed her own tears with him. It was so beyond sweet. Flash forward to today, I had to rush my new dog in for incessant coughing fits. I was worried he couldn't breathe. Admittedly, I have a tendency to over react to things after losing my last dog. I once again was show compassion and my dog and I both felt taken care of, seen, and listened to. Thank you for everything you all do. I know working in emergency veterinary care has to be one of the most difficult jobs in the world. My boys and I are eternally grateful for all of you. read more

Review of VCA Advanced Veterinary Center - 7712 Crosspoint Commons, Fishers, IN 46038 I had a very disappointing experience at VCA Advanced Veterinary Center in Fishers. While I understand that veterinary environments can be busy and stressful, professionalism and compassion should never be optional -- especially in an emergency care setting. One of the staff members, Danielle, spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive and condescending. When you're already worried about your pet, the last thing you need is to feel talked down to. Communication matters, and tone matters even more when clients are under stress. What was even more frustrating was the sense that administrative or social corrections seemed to take priority over actually helping patients get seen. Instead of focusing on the urgency of care, there appeared to be more concern about correcting people in conversation. In an advanced veterinary center, the primary focus should always be on patient care and compassion. Additionally, the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable. Some staff members appeared disrespectful not only toward clients but also toward their own coworkers. It did not feel like a supportive or team-oriented environment. When employees seem disengaged or dismissive, it reflects poorly on the entire organization. I truly hope management takes feedback seriously and works on improving communication, professionalism, and overall workplace culture. Pet owners bring their animals here during vulnerable moments -- they deserve empathy, urgency, and respect. read more

Avoid VCA if possible and certainly do not subject your pet to the care of Dr. Natalia Jurcak--or whatever name she is using now. She insisted that we subject our cat, Lily, to yet another MRI before she started Lily on Palladia. However, she stated the drug before reading the MRI. In doing so, she caused Lily great discomfort and hastened her death. When it was clear that Lily was reacting very poorly, our experience with the emergency department at VCA made the situation worse. With the help of VEG and Lap of Love, we were able to get Lily the help and rest she so needed. After her death, we received flowers and cards from three other vet groups but no acknowledgement from VCA. VCA is clearly more oriented to money making than pet care. Why charge us thousands of dollars for an MRI that isn't even read before subjecting Lily to an end that was far worse than it had to be. Indiana law permits depositions to be taken prior to the filing of a lawsuit, and I intend to use that provision of the law. I tried easier ways to get answers but VCA was not accommodating. No one called me as I was told they would. Just to be clear, I am not seeking money. I want an explanation, an acknowledgement, and an apology. I will use every legal means available to obtain that. read more

My wife and I brought our dog in to be examined because we thought she was having a seizure. Come to find out she was not having a seizure but was suffering from vestibular disease. While obviously upset at the trauma of watching our dog stiffen up, eyes rolling, urinating on herself, and puking we got to sit in the exam room and listen to a staff member in the back say in a laughing manner "oh my god, the vestibular dog is just flopping around like a fish". We addressed the issue with the Dr and she said she handled it but I don't feel like that is enough. We came to VCA and paid our hard earned money for our animal to receive the best care and instead we hear our dog who is suffering being made fun of. In the end, our dog had to be euthanized. If she had not been in such bad shape we would have left but we didn't want to make our dog suffer anymore. I sincerely hope that the staff at VCA will learn to be more compassionate for their clients. They may be desensitized to the health issues that many animals face but pet owners are not and it can be traumatic. read more

Let's just say my fur baby (dog) had decided to get into her allergy medicine while I was gone for 3 hours and she took all 28 pills which caused her to have her first trip here and she is 5 years old going on 6. Once I had checked into the receptionist desk it wasn't but maybe 25 min and they had took my dog to the back and I had to wait. The wait was due to them having to talk to poison control and come up with a plan along with running test. After they had got a plan in place they called me back to a room to discuss the plan and an estimated bill. I told them I had pet insurance so they had ran that. They even had told me different payment options to be able to pay the estimated bill. They had to keep my dog for 48 hours to monitor her and run test. Before I left I got to see my dog. They offer visiting hours if your pet ever has to stay here a few days. Also they do a wonderful job at keeping you informed through text messages or phone calls. The staff members were very friendly. This place is expensive but what would you expect for an emergency vet. I would say to make sure you have pet insurance because it helps out tremendously to cut the cost when an emergency happens and you have to come here. I love that they give you meds there to have your pet take with them when they go home. read more

Very thankful for this location. Our pup recently was in pain around 2am in the morning on the weekend (why is it always outside of vet office hours?) and we called around looking for someplace to take him. We ended up make several trips and appointments here and the stay has been nothing but kind and helpful. Even during a snow storm when it seemed everyone was bringing their pet in the staff was quick and efficient and communicated with us. While I hope you don't HAVE to visit the emergency room- I would recommend this location when in need. read more

I truly appreciate having a 24hour vet so close. We took our dog here after all his staples from a surgery busted. Even though there was nothing much they could do for him (almost time for the staples to come out anyways, the area may be cancerous etc etc) I really appreciate them taking the time to look at him and letting us know what to do till his regular vet is open. This is not a place you ever want to end up, but I'm so happy with my experience. We were referred to VCA by our vet when they found a mass inside my cats ear canal. We were able to get in within a week of the referral and everyone I spoke to on the phone was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Their communication is excellent on all fronts - in person, via phone, email and text. In the waiting room, I listened to the customer service reps fielding a frenzy of calls with compassion and professionalism. I was very impressed. My consult with the surgeon, Dr. James, was excellent. He recorded it on my phone and made drawings on the white board to help me understand and process the complex information. I'm so grateful. They were able to do the CT scan and biopsy same day, and took excellent care of her. It's truly a hospital setting in that all the specialists are under one roof - surgery, radiation, oncology, etc. i was given ample opportunity to consider options and consent to treatment. The communication and care I received from all the staff made a stressful situation much more pleasant for sure. read more

My pup cracked their dew claw nail late on a Friday night and we had hoped it would come off but didn't so Saturday morning we headed to VCA to get him some relief. They were all so kind and nice and quickly checked us in. The tech came out and got our pup and was able to trim up the nail to make him more comfortable. On the evening of 1/30/26, I brought my dog to an emergency clinic due to sudden loss of the ability to stand. The initial clinic recognized an acute neurologic issue and referred us to VCA Advanced for specialized care. Upon arrival, my dog had progressed to complete loss of lower extremity function and was visibly anxious and in pain. After waiting approximately 20 minutes for triage, I was told his vitals were stable, the hospital was busy, and he would likely not be seen for 8-10 hours. I was offered the option to wait in the lobby or an exam room. During this time, no pain or anxiety medication was offered, despite his distress. Given the rapid progression of his symptoms, we were concerned about waiting and chose to seek care elsewhere. We then went to Veterinary Emergency Group, who evaluated him immediately and contacted IndyVet. He received pain management right away, neurology was consulted, and he underwent emergency surgery early the next morning for a herniated lumbar disc. I understand emergency facilities must triage patients and manage high volumes. However, based on our experience, the difference in response to an acute neurologic emergency was significant. I am sharing this so other pet owners understand what we experienced and can make informed decisions during time-sensitive emergencies. read more

I wish I could say enough about how wonderful our experience has been here. Unfortunately, my girl's journey is coming to an end after a hard, brave fight, but I cannot express how grateful I am for this location and the whole oncology team. Dr. Manor has been with her since the beginning of the journey, and Dr. Jurcak also stepped in to help with an emergency when Dr. Manor was out of office. Between the two oncologists and all the oncology techs, we have been met with honesty, compassion, and understanding the whole way through. All of our options have been laid out thoroughly for us at every step, without judgement for what I felt was right at that stage for my little girl. After waiting 4 hours for my dog to be seen for urinary issues at the VCA clinic at 9235 Michigan Road Indoanapolis I was very displeased with the level of care that I received. It seemed as if the primary concern was if they were going to collect the exam fee and the urinalysis fee. That was signed before anything was started. I paid the exam fee, even though the veterinarian did NO exam or did not even touch my dog. For the exam fee, I also did not receive any type of differential diagnosis or education or list of things that could possibly be wrong or the treatments that may be needed. No patient education was provided. After several hours, I had to take my dog out of the waiting room to go to the bathroom and even though the staff knew that she was there for urinary issues, no one mentioned trying to collect a urinary sample. Therefore, they were not able to collect a urinary sample when the appointment started and I was sent home with only a bottle to collect a sample and no Instructions, care , concern...etc. Just "we close at 8:00" They would not give me any antibiotics just to get through the weekend until I could get to my regular vet because of a concern for "antibiotic resistance" even though she was only two years old and had never been on .antibiotics. My only goal was to make it through the rest of the weekend without bloody urine in her crate and on the floor and I felt like absolutely nothing was accomplished. Not even any semblance of an exam or care or concern. I will not return. read more

My dog had a large cancerous tumor under her chin and a surgical expert removed it. The incision healed super nice and it gave her more months off f a quality of life. All of the staff and vets were 100% excellent even a year later when it was time for her to pass on. They are not cheap but are the very best vets around. Top quality is expensive. They answered my after hours call right away, got my kitty back to be examined within 5 mins. of my arrival and were able to successfully dislodge the needle. This VCA Animal Hospital in Fishers is truly exceptional! When our sweet dog, Boo began to exhibit signs of Cushing's & other challenging neurological symptoms, we had no idea where to turn. We just moved to Bloomington from Oregon and our local vet was not helpful. Thankfully, we were referred to VCA Animal Hospital from Indyvet because they have 3 neurologists on site (in addition to other specialty vets). The care Boo received at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center was incredible! The reception desk was organized, efficient, and kind. The vets and vet techs were knowledgeable & compassionate. We visited them twice in 3 days, & each time, the doctors worked with us to figure out the best course of action. At the very end when we were at home, Boo began to circle, bump into objects, and became aggressive, which was shocking! When he finally calmed down, we called the VCA and they encouraged us to bring him in right away & to hospitalize him there until the neurologist could see him. I cannot tell you the relief we felt in knowing that we could bring Boo in and that they would take care of him. We felt so overwhelmed! Just as they said, they took him in and made sure he was safe and comfortable. They were SO kind. We left to go home, knowing he would get the best care. In the morning, Dr. Pott called us and discussed all the options. She was so kind and compassionate as well as knowledgable! She spent a lot of time with us discussing the options and being truly kind and genuine. We understood that we needed for Boo's sake, to put him to sleep since he was in pain and none of the options would give Boo a good quality of life without pain. We knew that even though it was seriously beyond hard, it was the best decision for Boo. When we came back, we felt so cared for and saw them caring for Boo with the same kindness and love. Our Leroy started having seizures on Wednesday. The urgent care directed us to VCA for more comprehensive treatment. It was late in the evening and the waiting room was full. Still, we were warmly welcomed and eventually seen within a reasonable time frame. Every person we encountered seemed sincerely concerned about our dog and wanted what was best for him. It wasn't cheap and I highly recommend everyone strongly consider pet insurance for events like this. You never know. After Leroy's care, we're hoping to have our boy around for a long time. I was very disappointed with last weeks visit with my pup who is 10 years old turned 11 yesterday. She's developed diabetes and they wanted $10,000 to get her on insulin. That is not how much it cost to do that with a dog and shame on them for that, to take advantage of someone who feels like they don't know where to go when their dog is down. It is a very big shame that they do this. In order to fix these kind of things VCA needs to quit taking advantage of people, & yes that is what you were trying to do!!!! So thankful for this spot! My family was on the way to the airport when their cat got sick and they called me to bring him to a local emergency room for pets (can you tell I don't have a pet yet?). I have a friend who works here, so the VCA instantly came to mind. I drove over and they took him back immediately. I waited for the doctor to call so I could share more info about him. I got a call after about twenty minutes and was able to share more details. I waited in the lobby for about an hour and a half and they eventually brought him out in his crate and handed me cat medicine and a list of instructions. I was really glad that they had the prescription in house so that I didn't have to drive somewhere else too with a crying cat. While it felt like a long wait, their staff said that wait times have been exorbitant recently, as a huge amount of the population got pets during the pandemic, yet there aren't more vets. Keep that in mind if you have to go somewhere like this. All in all, I think that if your pet isn't brought back immediately, it means there are other pets in worse situations, so you have to at least be grateful that your situation isn't dire. We took our 10 week old Golden Retriever to VCA after he was experiencing worrisome symptoms - shaking, high heart rate, temperature, peeing himself, nausea. Our vet, Leslie, was AMAZING! Unfortunately our family had a pet emergency at 10 pm on Christmas Day and required an emergency vet. Automated phone services directed us to the Advanced Veterinary Care Center at 7712 Crosspoint Commons in Fishers, Indiana. Found darkened building and no other customers were seeking emergency services at this care center. Was told that we needed to wait 4-6 hours for "emergency vet services". Naturally we left location and sought emergency care at another Indianapolis veterinary hospital. Seems the employees were expressing personal anger over having to work on Christmas Day. Very disappointing that this location can claim the "emergency" status and simply unbelievable that employees would jeopardize innocent animals to voice their feelings. Not sure how this inexperienced facility has remained open in today's business community. I had to give one star to complete rating but as you can imagine this location is useless in the emergency field of operations. Animals definitely deserve better!!! 4-6 hours after our dog had a seizure is NOT acceptable in the medical field per the qualified veterinarian who treated our four legged child. I have generally loved this facility; however, I had a very poor experience this past weekend. We took our dog in to the emergency because we suspected she ingested something. She was disoriented, incontinent, and salivating. Apparently she wasn't "critical" enough to be taken in to be cared for, even though the lobby had one other person in it. Then when I asked where the closest animal emergency hospital was, they directed me to one down in Beech Grove. They need to figure out what they're doing, especially with it being a Saturday night. read more

I genuinely want to know how people are just affording cancer diagnostics let alone treatment. We were quoted 10 grand for the diagnostics of our dogs cancer. Not the treatment of the cancer the 10 grand was for running diagnostics. It was a dystopian nightmare. But don't worry when you can't afford their outrageous prices they will offer to euthanize your pet at the cost of nearly $300. Don't tell me you aren't money hungry monsters when you charge people $300 to just euthanize. It was the craziest experience I have ever had in a veterinary setting. And don't you dare respond to this with your "we care about you and your pets blah blah blah" It's a load of trash you care about money end of story. Our 4 year old Boston Terrier had a male dog issue. We've never dealt with this in a dog and we were concerned. He had an erection and his penis could not retract and blood supply was being cut off. We took him to the VCA in Fishers. by the time we arrived it had retracted on its own. Leslie, our veterinarian helped us to understand the situation and gave us tips about what to do if it happens again. She was very friendly and helpful, and loved on our pup. Great service, kind professional, and the receptionist was very friendly as well! We always take our dogs there and have been pleased every time. read more

My dog needed a chest imaging test. I made an appointment with VCA Advanced Veterinary in Fishers for this service. It would be expensive but that was what my dog needed, so ok. 3 days (72 hours) before my scheduled appointment, a conflict came up at work and I needed to reschedule the imaging test. I called immediately, explained that a conflict had come up and I needed to reschedule. The lady on the phone coldly informed me that in order to reschedule, I would need to pay the full (nonrefundable) amount of the appointment right then, just to schedule the appointment. This was over $1000 they expected me to pay just to get on the schedule; they had done NOTHING yet to help my dog and demanded $1200. This was just astounding. Simply shocking. So unethical. I've never heard of extortion schemes by vets against hard working pet moms who give ample notice that an appointment must be changed. I've NEVER been financially penalized by any provider (for myself or my dog!) for rescheduling an appointment. This was THREE DAYS in advance, no less. Needless to say, I vehemently rejected their policy, refused to pay just to make an appointment, and have told anyone who will listen what a rotten place this office is. Oh and my dog who needed the imaging test had even stayed at this VCA twice - we were known patients to them! Yet they still punished me for attempting to reschedule an appointment out of necessity 72 hours in advance. To this day, I am insulted and offended by this policy which amounts to extortion. After having taken my dog there for surgery and recovery, and spending easily $8000 on their services, it was a slap in the face to be told I wasn't allowed to reschedule without paying full price immediately, on the phone, to book the appointment. I will never step foot into this vet's office again. If my animal was bleeding out, I would still not trust these assholes with my little one ever again. There is a great, equally capable advanced vet center out toward Zionsville. I took my dog there for her chest scan and was amazed by how comfortable and cozy (not institutional) the place is. At the other vet center, they sit down and to talk to you and your furry friend, rather than making you stare at their crutches while they talk down to you and act like your dog is some radioactive junk. The Zionsville vet can do all the same stuff and puts the "bedside manner" of VCA advanced Veterinary in Fishers to SHAME. On the basis of compassion alone, I will only go to the Zionsville location. After I defended the VCA advanced Veteribary center for years as a state of the art facility, I now see that state of the art is nothing if your staff suck and your motives are bad. The Fishers Advanced Veterinary Center truly exists only to make money off of the suffering of your pet . They don't care about the outcome, so long as it involves you paying them for whatever they do. That's shameful and unethical. I avoid the VCA advanced Veterinary in Fishers as though it was infested with a sickness that causes souls to die and compassion with it. read more

We were here for my corgi. She got her MRI done and she also had her neck disk surgery. There is one front desk lady that seems like she doesn't want to be there but besides that, everything else has been great. The techs and Dr. Cross has been great to work with. They always called everyday on how my dog was doing. I thought the price was pretty fair. My dog didn't seem to mind being there for so long. They also send over results and reports everything they've done to my dog via email. I do recommend this facility if your dog need an extensive care. read more

We've been seeing Dr Hui for 3 years for my dog with multiple immune disorders and he is so knowledgeable, kind, and was persistent when my dog didn't respond to the first few treatments tried. I really feel like his techs and him care about my dogs and do their best for them. I know being a vet in a high stress hospital setting can be difficult, and I really appreciate all they do to help pets live their best lives. My older dog also goes to VCA for PT and Dr Talaga and her staff have also been great. They are extremely efficient, almost always on time, and my dog really enjoys his sessions with them. read more
