Staff were polite and efficient on the phone. They offer free triage to make sure your pet is okay to wait for an appointment. They also take walk-ins and allow you to wait at home for when they have room. All staff we met were kind and helpful, it was a wonderful experience! We paid ~$140 for a check-up and antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. They also have an app which makes booking appointments extremely easy and hassle-free. Overall, I highly recommend VCA All Pets Animals Hospital! We are going to change our main vet to here! read more

The past couple of weeks have been incredibly hard for us. Our fur baby has been very sick: vomiting, extremely lethargic, not eating, and just not himself at all. Over the weekend, things got much worse, and we rushed him to VCA Animal Hospital. They completed blood work , X-rays, gave him antibiotics, and fluids because he was severely dehydrated and hadn't eaten or drank water for days. That's when we got the shocking news: he had an intestinal blockage. Despite how much weight he had lost in such a short time and how weak he was, we decided to move forward with surgery. During surgery, they discovered the cause--19 hair ties lodged in his intestines. I was completely blindsided. This experience has been traumatic, heartbreaking, anxiety-filled, and incredibly costly. But we are beyond grateful to God, the VCA's incredible staff, for helping us in our hardest moments, to the rescue center that helped with surgery costs, and especially greatful for the VCA charity that went over and beyond because without them and the charitie foundations available, we wouldn't be able to bring our fur baby home. read more

A little shocked at the lower rating on here but like I said on Google, 10 stars if I could. They are absolutely the best place to treat, board, etc your pupper. Sugar, my special needs, blind dog, has had trouble with separation anxiety as well as being with other dogs. Other places has caused her severe stress so she panic whines when she notices I'm there to pick her up and wants to get out ASAP. Not here. She practically has no reaction sensing me after a full day, almost like she doesn't mind if she's there forever. She's even gently socialized with another dog who is very gentle with small dogs and I'm so impressed! On that she absolutely loves the staff here and Courtney was kind enough to even show me some adorable videos and pictures! Herself and her team are top notch and best of all? They are truly affordable. I'm saving up after a big expenditure but these kind folks deserve your business, trust, your patience and donations. They are busy for a reason but they do not skimp on your puppers care. I'm eternally thankful they are close to my office and recommend them to any pet parent who needs a great team. read more

Usually always choose DR. Amber, but her schedule was booked to far due to the fact my dog has eye problems and we wanted to check that ASAP. So we got STUCK with "dr" Jennifer Clift. She seems like someone who gets way tp scared if the dog isn't small and nice. I'll admit my dog gets scared so she protects her peace yet has never bit anyone and always wears a muzzle when going to a vet or dog related appointment. Shes also well behaved as training is strict yet this vet can't pick that up. Shes too scared, kept saying my dog needs meds to be calm yet she was already on some and that most won't take her. I had to argue slightly in order for her to do the test. I finally got the meds my dog needed but had to wait a total of almost 2hrs from start to finish. What a joke read more

They make too many costly mistakes. I had two dogs, Jack and Sadie, who were insured through VCA. Jack passed February of this year. After a few years of being insured, today I went to drop Sadie off for dental work THAT was inadvertently canceled BY VCA because they insured the wrong dog for dental. I've been paying their monthly insurance for years now and basically got zero services other than shots! Bad communication and zero effort to make me happy with vet care. WOW WOW WOW, I don't post 5 star reviews unless I am completely impressed with a business and VCA delivered. I was in town visiting with my Corgi and had a problem with her, no other vet clinic in town would see her. VCA said, "hey we don't have appointments but if you wait we can see you" so I did just that. They were very honest about having to possibly wait 2-6 hours but that is a chance I had to take. I was lucky enough to only have to wait 2 hours. Everyone was soo friendly (well everyone but the cashier at the end). The receptionist that checked me in (Eli, I think was her name), awesome. The technician who came to get us from the car, awesome. Dr Fling, AWESOME! You have to understand how busy these vets are how many patients they are seeing. With that in mind I was very direct and to the point with my concerns to speed things up and DR heard every single one of my concerns, had my pup on the table and was promptly evaluating her. We agreed on my pup's diagnosis, DR gave us the needed meds, didnt try to upsell me or give me anything we didnt need. WHAT A PROFESSIONAL!!! I feel like what I paid for services and medication was reasonable and pretty on par with other vets. If I lived in the area I would definitly choose Dr. Fling to be both of my Corgi's primary vet. The only benefit to coming here is dealing with arguably the best vet in the state wich happens to be Dr. Fling. She will hear you out, help you decide on the best treatment, call you for updates, and will care for your animal like it's her own. A good way to tell how much they don't care about their clients is given their new policy change of no prescriptions are to be filled outside of vca. The mark up on their meds is horrendous. Easily 2-3x the cost of chewy. If you have a pregnant dog or cat don't bring them here. They see the births and c sections as training for their new vet techs. read more

Was recommended to take my dog here and I am very glad I did because he received the vet care he needed at a lower cost compared to other places around. The staff was very helpful and kind which was a surprise because typically I've had bad experiences with other places. We've been taking our dog here to be groomed. Our dog has extreme anxiety, but Lingi does a great job with Chloe. She takes adequate time to make sure the job is done right. I have been bringing my dog here for the last 8 years. Staff has always been great, informative, love it. I just had an issue though, I called and they asked me "hi is this an emergency or can I put you on a brief hold?" I only had a question. A quick question that would result in yes or no. Nothing that will hold up their time. As I ask "do you accept personal checks?" The lady tells me "one second" and leaves puts me on hold for an additional 10 minutes. This was the second attempt I made, the first was on hold for 5 minutes. Im usually never put on hold for that long. By far one of the worst vets in Salinas. I was surprised to see all the good reviews so thankfully this doesn't happen to everyone. First off they need to hire happier people in the front. They always come stand off fish never say hi or good morning and come off rude.Its never a good time to talk to them. My dog broke her leg so we scheduled surgery they called me twice to confirm my appointment and that drop off was from 7-8 am they called me at 5:15 to tell me my dog still hasn't been see for surgery that the doctor won't have time that there is 3 people ahead of me. When I called at 3 pm to ask for an update they said there was only one patient in front of me again , super unprofessional no one is ever on the same page. The lady on the phone proceeds to tell me the Dr is going to finish those minor surgery's as fast as she can so she can fit my dog in . Mind you it's 5:15 and they close at 7. What do you think is going on in my head they are definitely going to rush the surgery and those poor patients ahead of my dog.She also mentioned she has no idea what time the surgery is going to happen because it's the Dr day off and she has a dentist appointment, but she can stay over night or drop her off in the morning again. I wrote this similar review last year. It's flea season I've got a 9 and 2 year old boxer I bring in annually to VCA because I love the vet. That is the only thing I like about VCA. I called to refill the bravecto prescription and was told we can't give it to you now the story changed and though it had been less than a year they refused to do even a one time dose. I was told last year to ask for a supervisor so I did this again with no rationale only that it was "close to his annual" visit. So....let the dogs suffer until they can get it was what I heard. I brought my dog in for a surgery on Wednesday April 3rd 2024 he is a 4 month old mini bull terrier he had 2 fractures in his tibia and needed pins to set the bone properly the surgery went as planned and I got him back that same night the surgery cost was $3,000 which was $6,000 cheaper then a emergency vet clinic I brought him to in the 1st place I couldn't afford the $3,000 non the less the $9,000 so I reached out to multiple foundations that help with paying for vet bills I got it all set up and I don't know if it's the fact that I couldn't afford the bill on my own so excellent care wasn't shown to my fur baby which is also my emotional support animal too I looked over the X-ray on my own to find that I could see a clear cut break in his fibula bone so I reached out to vca and dr fling about my concerns and was told that we can discuss the X-ray on my Nexted visit on April 17th 2024 and she didn't have time to talk or look at the X-ray at this point and time so I continued to talk to the office manager and send numerous pictures of my dogs X-rays to her and finally was told that my demands for a free X-ray was being granted the following day in which I went in and discovered that my hunch was valid and the surgeon broke my dogs fibula during surgery and that she had been rushing thru getting him out of anesthetic state and reviewed the X-ray and probably was tired from working 15 hours of surgery day and she was rushing through patients all day mind you my puppy my poor puppy was the last patient she had of the day so with no other surgery after you would think she would be able to review that she did his correctly I was told there was only one complication during surgery and it was that his knee bone cracked so there were 2 pins needed and that was it the way this doctor talks to you is with no empathy or remorse in her words even when at the end of the day she caused another bone to go through healing when it was fine before hand I will come with an update on how they plan to make this situation better especially by draining all my foundation funding and me being forced to go to another vet because I can't take a chance with him going under the knife with her again read more

This was our first visit. We were very sad when our Vet Retired, and worried where we would take our fur babies. Many people said VCA was where we needed to go. It was easy to get an appointment, their hours are perfect for our needs. Upon arrival All the staff at the front desk were wonderful we felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. The vet was amazing, and very thorough. The vet tech who took our dogs blood and trimmed their nails was so personable and kind. We asked to see the kennel, as we may need kennel care for them at some point. The kennel attendant was gracious and took us back and show us. It was clean the animals were calm it was the perfect place. When we were all done, we were pleased with the price paid for the care that we received I am pleased to say we found great care for our pets. read more
