I've not been successful in the past getting her into a tub. Staff was super patient and allowed us to take lots of time for her to get in on her own vs picking her up and forcing her in. Great setup w a selection of shampoos and generous with towels. No way Lucy would let me dry her with something that must of seemed like a vacuum! THIS BUSINESS IS AWFUL DONT COME HERE. It's dirty and grungy. Paper towels could soak up more water than the towels they provide. The shampoo is pretty much water. You'd have to use the whole bottle to actually clean your pet. Pretty cheap of them! If you're going to make it "complimentary" at least make it sufficient to its job and what it's intended to do!! You're pretty much paying $23 to put your pet in a tub. Something you can do elsewhere and get your moneys worth! I'd rather drive the extra 15 minutes and go to pet food express in Carmel! It's 100% better. This place should be ashamed of themselves. It's quite clear the owners don't give a crap and only in it for the income! DONT RECOMMEND!!!!! read more

Staff is friendly. Prices is right. $20. $17 for loyalty members. There is no extra charge for the membership program. You have a tub, warm water, good water pressure and 4 different choices of shampoo. After the wash, there are lots of towels, a blow dryer and brushes to dry and make your pup's fur fluffy again. My only complaint are that when we first get there, the tubs don't look like they were wiped clean from the last dog and that towels are old, grey and thin. read more

I recently saw Canyon here to groom my two Pomeranians and she did an absolutely fabulous job! One of my dogs is 15 and has always been complimented by all groomers at how easy he is to groom and how mellow he is. I took him previously to Petco and unfortunately, the groomer there traumatized him. This has never happened before and I was a little worried for Canyon as I thought Ozzie might be difficult. However, when I picked him up, she said he was fine and she had no issues and I was completely relieved! This tells me that she has excellent bedside manner and is great with dogs even ones that may be more sensitive. My other Pomeranian, Elvira, is also a rescue and has come along way in her grooming journey (when I rescued her, her previous owners did not groom her, and she had her hair and locks). Elvira seemed comfortable and at ease when I picked her up. Canyon did an amazing job on both of them. They both came home very happy, clean, and freshly fluffy and groomed. She really listened to me as to what kind of haircut I wanted and was open to feedback and making sure I cut them the way I wanted them to be cut. She was also extremely efficient and fast and it took her about 2.5 hours for them both. It has been so hard finding a great groomer in the area and I think I have found my new favorite groomer. She was also very sweet and friendly. Her prices were good and reasonable. Stone's pet wash is conveniently located and there is some parking in the back or in the front of the main shopping complex. I highly recommend her. read more

First off, this place is filthy. There is mold on the walls, rust on the shampoo holders, old thin towels, and hair everywhere. When you pay over $17 dollars to self wash your dog you expect a clean place. Today was the final straw, we went in around 2:15 to use the self wash and was told we couldn't because they were on lunch and they would be back at 2:30. No where on their website does it say that they are closed in the middle of the day. We won't be coming back and suggest you don't go here. read more

Such a convenient little place if you need all the supplies for a good pet wash! The owner (I think he was the owner at least) was an older gentleman and was just the sweetest. I have mixed feelings about Stones Pet Wash. It's very convenient but a depressing place. It really needs updating. One of the tables has been out of commission for MONTHS! The towels are so thin you might as well use a Kleenex. They also water down the soap so much you have to use triple the amount. I now bring my own shampoo. The dryers are worthless so I bring my own dryer. It's not the absolute cleanest place. It's really a shame because it could really be an awesome place. I'll keep going because I don't have a place to give my dog a bath & I don't want to travel to Carmel. read more

We took our skittish cat to see Canyon for a bath, dry, and a shave. She also cut her nails. We told Canyon that our kitty was a scaredy-cat and she might try to bite her during her spa day. When we picked her up, Canyon said that there was no problem at all really. Our fur baby was a little bit afraid of the bath but overall things went pretty smoothly! We were amazed! Excellent self service dog wash! My boyfriend and I are visiting Carmel for the weekend and decided to take our golden/husky to the beach but not before we realized there was a self service dog wash 10 minutes away. Showed up and the employees were super friendly, showed us how to use the tubs and asked if we needed anything. We have used self service washes before, so this wasn't anything unfamiliar to us. However our dog does required hypoallergenic shampoo/conditioner; this wasn't a problem! I asked the employee what they had for shampoos and he walked me over to the bottles and informed me that two of the three that they offer are hypoallergenic. It's nice to know that she can enjoy the beach and we can enjoy having a clean dog the rest of our trip. We will definitely be stopping here again in the future! read more

I've had my dog for 11 years. We've been to a lot of pet washes of various posh-ness. This is an excellent one! The water is nice and warm, with a consistent temperature. The tubs are all a good height to save your back, and they give you plenty of supplies. Even the spray from the hose is a nice and gentle spray. My dog looked like he was really enjoying the shower (not always the case). I'm sad we live in Los Angeles and can only visit after beach vacations in Pacific Grove! read more

This place is disgusting and run down. 19$ to wash your own dog in moldy tubs, with raggedy, dingy towels and globs of other peoples pet fur on the ground. I honestly felt like my dog was dirtier after bathing there because she picked up a bunch of dirt and fur from the ground while still wet. Their website needs to be updated with a realistic picture of the facility, and stop advertising it as state of the art. What a joke! read more

If you have a dog that sheds a lot... this is the place!!! Very reasonable price, they clean up after you, no time limit. I've been taking my dogs here for years. Today I spent about 2 hours blowing out my husky's coat. A very nice young lady ironically named Maren also took care of us and cleaned up after us. Everyone here loves pets too. Drove from a nearby town to use the self-serve dog wash. Arrived here at 4:35pm on a Sunday. Website and Yelp both said it was open until 6pm and that hours had just been updated in the last month. The girl running the shop said we could not wash our dog and that they had taken their last appointment 10 minutes before. Our dog is short haired and all we wanted to do was give him a quick bath because he rolled in something at the beach. We asked if we could just quickly wash him within 10 minutes. They didn't close for another 1 hour and 25 minutes. However, the girl refused. If this didn't conflict with the posted hours, it would have been fine. But if you advertise you are open and refuse customers who have traveled to get to you - that is not good business and left a very bad impression. read more

I am so impressed with the customer service at Stone's Pet Wash! I came with two very dirty dogs yesterday, and the woman working there, Isabella, was incredibly kind and helpful. Stone's provided us with all of the supplies we needed - shampoo/conditioner, a washing glove, nail clippers, a brush, etc. Isabella provided helpful suggestions regarding which shampoo to choose and how I could go about trimming the dogs' nails, and she was just generally attentive to ensuring that we had a great experience. Super convenient, reasonably priced self-service pet washing stations. Sinks are large and clean - easily and comfortably fitting my 80lb shepherd. You can use the shampoo from the hose or bring your own shampoo. Side note: The water pressure from the hose was amazing! The shop also has a variety of complementary grooming supplies (brushes, nail clippers, etc.) for your use. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They immediately asked if I needed more towels when they noticed I was running low. Treats are available for purchase for your good pup at the end of the bath :) I will definitely be returning! WARNING!!I They INJURED MY DOG!!! I had been taking my dog here for self wash and professional grooming for 3. Years. I made a appointment for noon a week in advance. I dropped off my dog and they told the girl who took him in his crate to put him in the back. The groomer was running about 40 minutes late. No one answered at 5pm They had had him for 5 hours! I kept calling. Then a police officer called me. He asked me what happened to my dog. I freaked out. I thought he got out of the shop and got hit our something. He said my dog was bleeding and cut up. I went right away. The police man met me outside. My dog was a bloody mess. He wrote me a ticket for dog abuse. They forgot about my dog in the back, he was almost 17 years old and is very quiet unless he is playing or running around. So they tried to rush clipping him and cut him up So, so bad!!! Backseat they forgot about him! So they call the police to cover their butts. They dislocated his left front shoulder, he was so traumatized, he was never the same. I even took him to the vet the next day and she said the same thing. Needless to say, I was accused of animal abuse. After pictures, the vet report and court 3 dates, the charges were dropped. This was 4 stressful months of my life, my dog died two weeks later. I really believe if not for the abuse and roughness they put him through, he would have lived for a few more years. The vet said he had a very strong heart and had no physical problems. They also lied in the police report. They said they called the police at 12:45 p.m. The police report said the call came in at 4:45p.m. So they lied about that. For 3 years everything was fine. Now I have record with the police and I have never ever been in any trouble. my sweet boy is dead. Take this to heart. read more
