Our driver…read morewas rude on both trip to and from JFK, had no idea where he was going and missed numerous turns, he specifically told me how stupid it was for me to want to fly out of JFK. He cursed and muttered under his breath when he got lost making us all very stressed out. On the trip back, after we got off a 9 hour overnight flight he was rude again, he sat on the opposing baggage claim chute while we collected all of our bags and then took off at a fast pace with only one bag while we each had two, never offering a cart or even asking if we wanted one. He didn't ask if we wanted him to bring the car around to pick us up at baggage claim he just started heading through the airport with nary a word or a glance over his shoulder to see if we were following. I have several health conditions that make walking briskly an impossibility for me and I couldn't keep up so we formed a human chain between him and my children so that I could keep at least one of them in sight as I tried to keep going. He couldn't find the car in the garage, around and around we went. Our trip home was ridiculously long as we drove down local roads somewhere in NYC stopping at traffic lights etc. It was so uncomfortable that my children and I were texting back and forth next to each other because we didn't feel comfortable talking out loud. I asked for a partial refund of my over $1600 cost and he admitted that they sent "...a chauffeur who temporarily forgot his etiquette training and missed a few turns." Quite an understatement. I'd give a one star review to an Uber driver who acted like that. And, in a subsequent email this "As far as feeling shame for not doing the right thing: I have none. I believe I am doing the right thing by not allowing you to puff up your trip to JFK into some catastrophic event that caused you mental anguish, or other ridiculous legal claim. The only things that we needed to apologize for were a few wrong turns and a less-than-cheery chauffeur who was on a bad day, apparently."
