I bought a Groupon for 3 massages here and found one of my old masseuses here! I had used Carlina at another place and she was excellent. I was sorry to see here go but now I have found her. They are located in a shopping center on I-59 in Sugarland but it can be a little hard to find so go a little early. They specialize in yoga and Ayurveda as well as massages. When you arrive there is a relaxation room for you wait in until your appointment. Once its time for your appointment you are escorted to the massage room. Like most massage places it is very relaxing and private. I have been twice and both times there was no pressure to joint or buy packages. It was a great deal and the services were very good. I did a massage and took a yoga class. Massage: it was really good. I don't normally like massages either. Everything was good about it. The strength, the lighting, the temperature of the oil. I believe they use an Ayurvedic oil which is relaxing and healing. I felt very refreshed when I usually don't. Yoga class: The teacher, Liana, was very knowledgeable. The students varied in age and ability. She offered support and techniques for those who couldn't complete the moves. She had a soothing voice. The room temperature was just right. The class size was comfortable. People weren't crowded, but the room was full. I'm going again. They seem to have a wide variety of services that I haven't even looked into yet. I'm excited. I absolutely loved my massage from Romi. I had her last time for a full body treatment and this time I got the bolus massage which is excellent because you exfoliate in addition to the hot oil head massage and the full body. She was very professional and very well trained. The staff was courteous and effecient. I made an appointment a few hour before they opened and I was treated very well. I had gone in February to redeem a gift card and ended up buying a membership because I liked it so much. It's very clean environment. I was visiting Houston for the weekend with my mom. We both decided to get Abhyanga massages and can I just say WOW. It was an incredible experience - the service was wonderful. Both Shweta and Maria were so nice with such amazing energies. It feels so luxurious. They give you wonderful robes and slippers to change into. It was a wonderful and relaxing escape. First, let me start by saying that they have you write a review in front of them after your "massage" for a discount on your next massage. I am willing to bet a lot of the "5 star" reviews are just that due to the fact that they make it very uncomfortable to say no, and are then looking over your shoulder the entire time. In addition, if you look at a lot of the reviewers accounts they look like they were created just to give reviews to this place/ aka fake proxy accounts. Anyways moving on... So Anna and I have gotten massages at just about everywhere you can think of where ever we go. We really got into massage after a trip to Thailand, and finding a slightly different Asian inspired massage was very appealing to us. However, this turned out to be something extremely different. I have never had an experience feel so cheap and uncomfortable as this, and let me tell ya that's saying something. The place on the busy city street in Bangkok filled with people less than a foot away from you and noises of "special massages" upstairs had me more relaxed than this place. We walk in and they sat us over in their relaxation area. They appeared to have tea and refreshments there, but didn't seem to want to serve them for whatever reason. Seemed to pinch pennys. Next we are taken one at a time by our masseuse. Anna got some guy wearing scrubs which was a first. He had her change into a robe, but then my lady, which literally didn't introduce herself and seemed like some random woman walking up, started yelling through the hallway saying that she didn't need to put on the robe as that wasn't the type of massage she was getting. I was ready to go at that point as it was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing as they were literally yelling at Anna through a wall with everyone and anyone that was there able to hear this whole conversation. We should have left at that point and got our money back. Next the lady comes to get me. She tells me they only have the one room for massages and puts me in their yoga studio on some make shift table. In my head I'm thinking, "what the hell is this? You only have one massage room at a massage studio?" Sounds like a load of crap to me, and there is no way I believe that. The door didn't fully close. So I could see light shining in on my face the entire time I was in there. Not to mention they put me on what I believe was one of those plastic fold-able picnic tables you can buy at Home Depot. In addition, I'm 6' and 250 lbs. The thing was tiny, and I was hanging off in every direction as I'm laying on this thing feeling like it's about to collapse while it sways with each push of the ladies hand. The lady then goes on to try to talk to me then entire time about all kinds of stupid crap. It was like you went over to that one old aunts house who just talks about nothing, but it's your aunt so you sit there and listen to be nice. However, she isn't my aunt, and I didn't pay to listen to her tell me about all of her massage stories and friends. I mean come on. You're supposed to be a professional right? On top of it all, she used some really cheap crappy oil that I honestly believe was olive oil. It felt horrible! Anna and I both had to shower several times to get it off. It was disgusting. Almost as disgusting as the face pillow she put my face in when I rolled over. I struggled to breath as my face was sandwiched down against the picnic table. I tried several times for about 10 minutes to readjust to be able to breath and it was very apparent. I finally had enough, and asked to remove it. She then replied, "oh yeah it's optional." You didn't realize I haven't been able to breath for the last 10 minutes, and were waiting for me to opt out with my nose and mouth pushed against the picnic table? Didn't seem like it took too much common sense or a professional masseuse to figure that one out. As she picked up the pillow I had my eyes open at this point, and the thing was absolutely disgusting covered in what ever black nastiness it seemed to be coated in. I'm guessing it was the residual olive oil from everyone that had used it. I was absolutely disgusted at this point. It was the longest hour I've ever had, and honestly I can't think of a single minute during it that I was actually relaxed what so ever. As I met Anna at the front waiting for me I could tell that she had been given a similar experience. We were in disbelief when the lady pressured us into writing a review in front of her. I was at the point where I just made up some lie about my account not working. There was no way I was going to send anyone there, or use my reputation on Yelp for them. She then proceeded to try to pressure sell us more stuff. I just had to say no, and she wasn't taking it for an answer. Absolutely ridiculous. When we left Anna told me her guy made her extremely uncomfortable. She saw that her guy had some fake masseuse license, and my lady didn't have anything at all. Go figure. read more

I bought a groupon for this place for a facial. After I made an appt I was told by my ob/gym that I could not lie flat to receive a facial since I was pregnant. At this time I was about 35 weeks. I called back to cancel my appt and reschedule for a time after I had the baby. The owner was extremely rude and told me that she considered my groupon used and would not reschedule my appt. I have never been treated in such a poor condescending manner and made to feel as if I had done something wrong. She obviously just wanted the money and doesn't care about people. The aspect of writing a review in their presence and incentivizing makes it rigged more as paid poll. I was not impressed with the massage either as the massuse was being distracted and rushed by the owners. It is more of a massage place trying to leverage Indian Ayurved goodwill.
