We Rushed here for the first time with our cat who was unresponsive. The Staff rushed to us from the car, took her immediately and did everything in their power to save her. I finally had to make the hard decision to have them stop doing cpr since we knew she was already gone. Even though I am heartbroken, the staff here were nothing short of amazing. Amazing service. Every person that works here is a saint. They are so incredibly nice and they truly care about each pet. My 9 year old golden retriever received such wonderful care there and overnight. She had a splenectomy, they removed a huge tumor, she is doing so good and happy, and like a puppy again. Truly, a Happy Thanksgiving when I picked her up. I don't think I've ever met such a nice group of people, who all work so well together and care for animals, and take such amazing care of them even when it gets busy. We had to make the tough call to put our Golden, Buck down yesterday. This was our second time going to VEG and both times were were treated with kindness and empathy. The first time was back in April and Buck was very ill from gastroenteritis. I was pleasantly surprised that we were with him from the initial exam and up until they admitted him. We were encouraged to come and visit anytime. When we couldn't be there they would give us updates via phone. Yesterday, we were treated with empathy and kindness, from the vet techs to the veterinarian that did the actual procedure, they were kind and made sure to give us the time we needed before and after he was euthanized. I went there today and got help right away. The staff is so kind and caring. My 2 year old cat had a life threatening illness that required emergency surgery in 24 hours. my poor boy was 16 years old and ready to move on to other adventures. my normal vet couldn't see him til the next week and I didn't want him to suffer that long. I called VEG before coming in and they had a quiet room ready for us. the techs and dr and everyone were so nice while I was barely holding it together. He was my baby. I got to hold him in my arms as he drifted to sleep. they told us to take all the time we needed and I became a sobbing basket case. my husband and I loved on our baby and it was very peaceful. everyone there was so sweet and understanding. I chose a community cremation and a couple days later I received a plaque in the mail with his paw print and name. Then yesterday (one week later) I received a card in the mail from the ppl at VEG. Everyone there left a message and it was one of the nicest things ever. the fact they took the time to write me messages really shows how amazing and kind all of the people there are. I'm really blown away by it. Such an amazing staff of kindhearted people. I brought my 16 year old cat here around 3 in the morning, upon explaining the situation to the lady at the front desk we already knew the outcome wasn't going to be great. She held my sweet kitty and talked to me, made me laugh, and kept my baby calm throughout this. I was brought to one of the nurses and she was just as friendly, same goes for the doctor. Unfortunately i had to let go of my baby, but they made the process as comforting as possible and gave me so much time to spend with her/call my family/say goodbye, they even stayed with her so i could step outside and breathe during the situation. I had never been here before but they made sure i felt safe in such a terrible situation. I would recommend this place to anyone. A staff full of caring people who don't only wanna help pets, but to help people too! If you need an emergency vet, you could not find a better place to go than VEG in Fort Worth! Our lab was in perfect health and when she started to act off, we knew something wasn't right. VEG stepped in after Molly's normal vet wasn't able to handle her situation and she was unstable. Dr. Garnier was the first doctor we saw and all of the other staff was just as incredible. The first couple of days we were seriously worried as it seemed Molly was only going down hill but they persisted and found the root cause, from there it made all the difference. Dr Charney was so informative and so caring, and we so appreciated being able to watch our girl's surgery and be there to support her. Dr. Weinheimer was also there at nights and was just as amazing. I feel like it's rare when you go to a medical practice and all the doctors are on the same level, from all aspects. All 3 of these doctors knowledge and bedside manner were outstanding and you can tell they are outstanding vets. It's one thing when one doctor is great, or you really connect with one of the techs but this entire team made us feel like family and you could tell they truly enjoy helping and caring for animals. I love the open concept facility and ability to just be with our girl and come and go as it was a very long 4 days without her. The setup was great and I can tell thought and effort was put into details when it comes to trying to keep pet parents comfortable with small touches like coffee, snacks, drinks, WiFi. It's small things but when you don't know how long you'll be there, it's all little things that can come in handy! Each time we visited, they were always quick to offer a yoga mat for us to sit on when sitting next to Molly's kennel, they were just always on top of things. Even on the busy nights too, I never felt like they didn't have time for us and always felt like Molly was a VIP. We couldn't have chosen a better Vet clinic for a serious situation and I don't believe Molly would be doing so well if it wasn't for this staff. Jeremiah, Keely, Kelsey, really and truly every tech, assistant, the LVT, all hearts of gold! All the videos, messages, photos, and check ins we got from them were over the top. If we have another emergency with any of our 3 pups or our friends and family do, we will hands down recommend and urge our people to take their babies to VEG in Fort Worth! There isn't a place to go for better care. Emergency medicine is painfully expensive but after realizing all Molly received from this clinic, the value is truly there! Emergency medicine isn't cheap anywhere but sometimes you don't get the best care, and that is not the case at VEG! Thank you guys for everything! Molly will miss each of you! read more

My dog tore her CCL while playing. I called VEG to see about the prices and wait time. A doctor answered the phone, she was very nice and knowledgeable. My dog is dog reactive, so I told the receptionist when we arrived. She said we could wait in the car until a room opened up. Before I even made it to the car, she told me there was a room available. The tech was extremely friendly and very accommodating to my dog being reactive when we had to get her weight. The doctor was great. She got us some medicine, and she did a great job explaining things to us. They also could have had us get X-rays, if they wanted extra money. But they told us that it would be more beneficial to wait to have those taken at DVSC. However, they would do them if I wanted. I was very pleased with the service. They even texted us the next morning to check on us. I will be back if I have any more issues. read more

We brought in our boxer after another veterinarian botched the procedure. He was bleeding profusely and in bad shape. The ER Veterinarian was wonderful. He had quite a few patients but was able to stabilize our Pup and stop the bleeding. The Vet Techs were caring and skillful. I couldn't be happier with the care they provided. And I'm so grateful they were available in the middle of the night. read more

I am so glad this place is open! My dog got into some dangerous food she shouldn't have, so I called and they put me right through to the vet for advice. The office then texted me a link to pre-check in, and as soon as I showed up they took my girl to the back room and I was with her the entire time she was being treated and checked - a far cry from other emergency vets I've gone to! The vet Dr. Charney literally sat cross-legged on the floor to treat my little Boston terrier. The vet techs obviously love all the animals and it is such a positive environment. Plus, the prices are comparable to going to my regular (non-24 hour!) vet for an emergency procedure like inducing vomiting. Cannot say enough good things! read more

We have unfortunately had to visit them a few times in the last month for one of our dogs. I cannot be more clear about the care, understanding and clarity we received each and every time we have visited. The staff is patient, accommodating and thoughtful with how they treat each patient and their owner. While of course you're paying through the nose for care here, I would hands down recommend this facility to anyone needing emergency or after-hours care of their pet every single time. We were sent from our Vet to VEG, your facility for emergency surgery. We were just informed that my baby was bleeding out and had a tumor on her spleen. We speed over to VEG. My vet had already called them and gave them a heads up we were on our way and informed them of all the findings. We walked in bawling and were asked what we were there for. I told them my Vet had sent us due to my dog bleeding out. He seemed very confused and just walked away...at that point, my husband and I are just standing there holding our 75-pound dog. He comes back around the corner and says follow me! Points to a chair and walks away. No communication what's so ever. We take a seat on the floor with our baby and while holding her and bawling our eyes it takes about 20 minutes until the doctor came up and introduced himself.  He was okay, nothing special, did the exam, told us Kodi is going to die and that it's a 50/50 chance she will make it. He walked away for another 30 minutes sitting at his desk talking on his cell phone and we can hear him taking a personal call. We are again just holding her waiting for a quote. At this time, I have asked for some tissues that never came. Then after asking again we were brought some. Then a lady came over and told us our cost. 9 thousand dollars!  9 Thousand Dollars, after having Kodi looked at for maybe five minutes and then sitting there for over an hour and watching staff not pay any attention to us was a little sad. After being told that there is a 50/50 chance even after surgery the lady told us we could purchase some pills to slow the bleeding. We sadly only got to give her one pill. I was told I could not get my $100 refund on the unopened pack. As we were leaving, I had a question for the doctor. We get up off the floor pick up Kodi, and he gets on his cell phone with another personal call. No eye contact was made. No wave goodbye. Not one bit of empathy was shown! So, I asked my question to his assistant and still did not get a clear answer. And he laughed in my face at my question as my dog is dying.  I am not one to waste time writing a review but the fact that I choose to find a different hospital that night to have my baby put to rest was sad. I felt no compassion, not from a single person in the facility at VEG. I was heartbroken and sad and felt like her life did not matter. We ended up taking Kodi to PARC. Hands down a completely different experience where I felt my baby, as well as my husband and I, were treated with Kindness and compassion!!!! read more
