it was just ok, bit the staff was polite. Had to move through the kitchen to wash hands.

Fresh made-to-order vegetarian Indian food. Hot chapatis. Had the shahi paneer and mix veg, both were good. Bada and samosa were also good. Rice was flavorful with cloves and cardamom. Shubrata gave us some pickle and even made chai on request (not on the menu). Recommended.

The bread was okay and the soup was meh. All microwaved. :(

We were hoping this was going to be a hidden gem, because of all the previous reviews, but it was just a rock....Most reviews on here were good and from about a year ago, so it seems like something has changed. The guy working there was really nice, but they need to have a cook and someone to work the front. Since it was just him everything was microwaved and gross because of it. The food deserves 1 star, but the guy was so nice we're giving it 2. The microwave made it so the food wasn't evenly heated and tasted old. We loved supporting vegetarian/vegan restaurants, but it isn't worth coming back until the improve it.

Stellar Food friendly service and adorable tiny restaurant our server was also the chef. Attentive helpful and most importantly made each of our vegan selections Spectacular. This was easily one of our favorite dining experiences in Rome FYI meals are served with paper plates and bowls if you can look beyond this I'd give vega more stars if allowed. Curry was modified to be vegan we had 2 baked appetizers served with chutney - these were incredible one filled with potato and spinach the other mixed veggies loved the break from fried appetizers chapati was perfect light and flavorful basmati rice with veggies was filled with beautiful aroma and flavor I tried Ayurvedic tea and loved the lavender notes my partner had ginger orange juice she added some sugar she stated it was a bit tart after musing she loved it We received an almond chutney with our main courses that was tasty and unlike any chutney I've had anywhere Total cost for two starving ppl 40 euro (4 baked app rice curry and one other dish and drinks!)

This little place which is very easy to miss, is a little gem for your Indian food fix, while you on vacation. This is an owner run business, where the food is cooked fresh, so expect to wait for a little bit while you enjoy a drink. Once you add everything up its not exactly the cheapest meal but the quality is very good, which makes it good value for money. I have attached some photos so you can see what the shop looks like when you walking past.

It's a small entrance down a cobblestone street but the outside is deceiving. Inside there's a bakery with all sorts of treats, and behind that, the restaurant opens up into a large dining area with big brick arches. It looks grand but is very casual. All the staff are super friendly and speak English. We tried a margherita pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto, tonnarlli cacio e Pepe with artichokes, and carbonara. Both pastas were fantastic with cheesy and creamy with a hint of spice from pepper. The pizza was awesome. If you enjoy thin crust or are carb sensitive this is for you. For dessert we tried maritozzo, basically a cream filled baguette which wasn't my favorite.

Overall, the food was quite good here and they had decent sized portions. Our favorite dish there was an artichoke carpaccio which came with shavings of pecorino, olive oil, arugula, and lemon juice -- surprisingly good! Pasta was thick and chewy, so it was quite filling, and it came with plenty of sauce. They have a decent selection of coffee, beer, and wine as well. The space is nicely decorated so it's fine if you're looking for something casual or for something a little nicer as well.

If you're looking for a classic Roman coffee experience, La Casa del Caffè Tazza d'Oro is…read moredefinitely one to add to your list. Located just steps from the Pantheon in Piazza della Rotonda, this historic coffee bar has been a Roman institution since 1946 and is especially known for its coffee, which has helped make it one of the city's most famous cafés. The line was pretty long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly quickly. You can enjoy your coffee and pastries inside while standing at the counter, or, if you're lucky, grab one of the few seats available inside. There's also outdoor seating, but keep in mind that sitting outside comes with a separate--and if I remember correctly, significantly higher--service charge. I'll be honest--I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong thing. I ended up with what was essentially a frosty coffee ice cream, which is not what I was going for, lol. I was supposed to order the Granita di caffè con panna, which is their signature. It's a coffee granita--essentially finely shaved/frozen coffee--topped with whipped cream. Instead of whipped cream, I accidentally told my Italian nephew I wanted the coffee with ice cream, whoops. I also ordered a maritozzo, which I was absolutely on a mission to try while in Rome. The maritozzo is a traditional Roman sweet bun filled generously with whipped cream, and it did not disappoint. I was in a bit of a rush, so I didn't have time to enjoy my maritozzo there. I packed it up and ate it later that evening, and it was still delicious. I've also essentially given up coffee completely, so I only had a few bites and sips of my coffee ice cream, but what I tried was really good. The menu is fairly large and varied, and it can feel a little overwhelming when you're standing at the counter with a line behind you. I'd recommend taking a look at the menu ahead of time if you can so you have an idea of what you want before you get up to order. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. Tazza d'Oro is an institution, the location is hard to beat, and there's something fun about experiencing one of Rome's longtime coffee traditions--even if you accidentally order the wrong thing like I did!

The menu is very extensive and has a wide variety of options. I had the vegan carbonara and it was great! The Roman artichoke was tender but wasn't exactly my favorite as I felt it needed more seasoning. My family loved the pizza and the suppli. The drinks were great as well. The noise level was moderate and there was plenty of space inside for a Saturday night. We sat near the kitchen and got to see the pizzas being made in the pizza oven. Service was good no complaints. They offer carnivorous versions as well for the people who are not thrilled about the prospects of soy cheese and tofu. My non-dairy-eating wife marveled at the huge selection of offerings she could have. She never could have gotten these Italian offerings at most other trattorias. * * * The actual pizza she got was no great thrills. She had not found El Dorado. But she had found lunch. There had been choice on the menu. * * * i ordered Gnocchi Sorrentina in a meat version. It would have been no better and no worse in a vegan version. Each individual gnocchi was like bubble gum. I chewed and I chewed and I chewed and I chewed. The sauce did not make endless chewing a gastronomic delight. * * * I would have gotten out of Origano like a bat out of hell. My wife strolled out of Origano like a fire elemental leaving hell. For her, the flames were not all that interesting. But they were not unpleasant either.

Pane e Salame, however, was delicious!!!! On our first day in Rome, my husband and I decided to search for a lunch spot nearby (we were staying near the Trevi fountain), and I found this place had pretty good reviews. We got there about an hour after it opened and requested a seat outdoors. They have a tiny patio across from their entrance, but they fit quite a bit of people in it! We initially wanted to order two sandwiches to try more items, but I'm glad we just shared one - they were big and filling! We also had the small charcuterie board to share which was plenty of food for us both. We shared a bottle of rose, and all in all, we paid under $50 (usd) - what a steal! This was the perfect first meal in Rome. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was great, and the outdoor seating allowed us to experience the streets of Rome. 10/10 - would absolutely go back.

But overall, I would recommend to go here.
