Stopped in for a quick lunch and stayed for over an hour. Relaxed atmosphere, solid service, and great food. Rigatoni was top notch - al dente, saucy yet balanced, and just the right amount of pork cheek. The pizza was perfect. I mean, come on, it's pizza. Pizza is always good! Service was amiable and sufficient - warm, responsive, and tight. I like service that knows when to check-in and when to let us enjoy the food. They have the right balance. Would I return? That's my barometer for how well a restaurant is doing. Yes, I would return. First go-to option? Maybe not but definitely has potential to be so.
Origano Trevi gave me the fondest experience for the best pasta of my life. This place was the BEST meal that we had not only in Rome, but on our whole trip to Italy and other European countries. It was so good the 1st night we got it, we came back a 2nd night! The service spoke great English so there was no language barrier for us, and were some of the kindest people. The restaurant environment was calm, cool, and allowed us resting time while we indulged in our meal of a lifetime. Not to mention, it's a great stop after visiting the famous Trevi fountain which is probably a 1-2 minute walk away from the restaurant. I am vegan and my boyfriend is not, so I often find us restaurants that are either fully vegan or have a vegan and omnivore menu and this place was the later. My boyfriend, after trying both his regular cheese pasta and my vegan pasta, agreed that both are to die for. Our wine was amazing, appetizers were delectable and our pasta was out of this world. Ending the meal with tiramisu that also was vegan for I and not for my boyfriend, was the best part. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough, it's a must one your next visit!
I know you may not have salmon topped with pistachios and roasted potatoes as one of your must have dishes while in Rome, this was fantastic! Salmon was buttery and perfectly cooked. The salted potatoes were soft and pillowy on the inside with some crisp on the outside. The bruschetta (2 slices, enough for four people to have a taste)was one of the best we had in Rome. The spaghetti carbonara was ok, for truly bang your hand on the table good carbonara go to Tonnarello in Trastevere. If there is a wait, it's worth it. The gnocchi wasn't as pillowy as others, but the pesto was delicious and fragrant.
The front bar lady asks everyone if they had a reservation. It's pretty casual spot for reservations. Most customers seemed to say no, myself included. The waitresses are pretty nice. The service was a little slow. I guess I kept looking back at the service window for my food bc I was starving. Burger was ok, fries could have been less soggy, got the devilo pizza I think it was called. Was basically a pepperoni pizza. Overall pretty average experience. The reviews seemed good on here but hard to trust reviews especially on vacation. I usually don't write mid reviews but just wanted to put my 2 cents in since many seemed to like it.
If I were just walking past, this isn't the type of place that I would go in to: it's on a busy street between two major tourist attractions in Rome. But, looking at the reviews, I thought it was worth a try and it was definitely worth the stop. The menu features a variety of your typical Roman foods, which are a must-do "when in Rome." I settled on the carbonara and a fried vegetable platter featuring a small fried pizza. All around very good, plus good service and no wait on a Saturday during a holiday weekend. What's not to like?
What a cool place. I used help to help me find a good restaurant while visiting Rome. Had the lasagna and cacio ePepe. Lasagna was very good flavor, good price and a decent serving. The cacio e Pepe was off the chain!! Wine was great. Service was good. It checked all my boxes. I will be back!
Came in here on the way back to our hotel from the colosseum because usually where there is vegan food, there's gluten free food. They said they had gluten free pizza, so we stayed since that's what I was in the mood for. My husband and I both got prosciutto and mushroom pizza, his was regular and mine was gluten free. I appreciate that they had the option for gluten free, but I could tell it was frozen crust. Not to mention they did the American thing where they just loaded tons of sauce and cheese on the crust, I assume because they think it'll taste better? This happens a lot back home, but all the GF pizzas I've had from Venice to Rome have blown me away except this one. My husbands pizza looked super greasy too. If you're GF and in the area, don't settle for this.
Right near the Trevi Fountain, but not TOO touristy. Three friends and I came in for dinner on a Tuesday night at around 8. The place wasn't empty but it wasn't packed either. I think a large group had also just left, so we didn't have to wait for a table. There were some leftover snacks on a side table, so it looked like we had just missed aperitivo. (Just something to keep in mind if aperitivo is something you wanted to try in Italy.) I ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara. It was pretty good, except it was a TAD too salty. If it wasn't, it would have been perfect and I might have even said that it was one of the best meals I had in Italy. Another thing I should mention is their wine. You can get a pretty good bottle of wine for just 10 Euros. But I guess if you've stayed in Italy for at least a couple of days, you'll find that good, inexpensive wine isn't hard to find. For dessert, we had tiramisu, which was good. But I'm pretty sure it was store-bought. Still good, though! I would recommend Origano. And they have free wifi, so if you're traveling internationally and don't have a data plan, you can finally catch up with the outside world!
This was our first meal in Rome and really one of the best. We had Cacio e Pepe, a house salad, bruschetta, a caponata, coffees, and a coffee cream. For the price point all were excellent but if I were to order again I'd probably skip the bruschetta and get a second caponata. That was easily the best I had ever had. All the food was well seasoned and delicious. The pasta was cooked a little before al dente but that actually improved the dish. A pile of mushy pasta with cheese isn't all that exciting or different from cheap Mac and Cheese made from a box. Having the extra tooth to the pasta made you relish each bite. The salad was very typically Roman. The fresh mushrooms were very very good. I'm not always a fan of them in my salads due to texture issues if they are old or of poor pedigree. These were without fault. I also appreciated the quality of the tomatoes and other ingredients. My experience eating in Rome is that It's hard to find poor produce in Italy but these ingredients were top notch. Coffee at this establishment was really good. This was seemingly always the case in Rome and no different here. The Coffee Cream, almost a lighter affogato, was simply magic and unexpected by the person in our group who ordered it. They thought they were getting a late and were much happier with what showed up instead.
The positives: The location is convenient for visitors to the Trevi Fountain. And the price even more so. We ordered the Margherita di Bufala, which was as expected. A delicious treat with a kind and friendly staff. The negatives: the ambiance promises more than it can deliver. The lighting draws the hungry straggler in, only to be trapped with no air conditioning and plasticky seats.
Got hungry after visiting the Trevi Fountain? This place is just a stone throw away from the hustle and bustle. It's a small entrance down a cobblestone street but the outside is deceiving. Inside there's a bakery with all sorts of treats, and behind that, the restaurant opens up into a large dining area with big brick arches. It looks grand but is very casual. All the staff are super friendly and speak English. We tried a margherita pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto, tonnarlli cacio e Pepe with artichokes, and carbonara. Both pastas were fantastic with cheesy and creamy with a hint of spice from pepper. The pizza was awesome. If you enjoy thin crust or are carb sensitive this is for you. For dessert we tried maritozzo, basically a cream filled baguette which wasn't my favorite. read more

A cute little restaurant close to several tourist attractions with lots of vegetarian and vegan options! Service is friendly and quick here; our server spoke English, which was helpful. Overall, the food was quite good here and they had decent sized portions. Our favorite dish there was an artichoke carpaccio which came with shavings of pecorino, olive oil, arugula, and lemon juice -- surprisingly good! Pasta was thick and chewy, so it was quite filling, and it came with plenty of sauce. They have a decent selection of coffee, beer, and wine as well. The space is nicely decorated so it's fine if you're looking for something casual or for something a little nicer as well. read more

Again, strolling around the streets of Rome finding a good breakfast place. A lot of restaurants don't open around 9am and luckily we found this ristorante! We were the first few customers and before getting seated the waiter had to ask if the kitchen was ready. I'm glad their kitchen opened just in time we got there! Their breakfast deal is definitely a steal! I got toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, and beans. I've never been so happy! You also get a glass of orange juice and coffee/latte on the side. The staff were super friendly and gave us some good tips/recommendation as to what we should check out around the area. Thank you :) read more

Very friendly. Very good food good traditional and even vegan options. Great vibe and pretty good service although it can be slow at peak hours. If their juice machine is working they make really nice healthy juices. They have a couple of locations and I like this one best's read more

The wait staff was nice and food was great! They spoke English, but indulged our attempts at Italian. The wine was a great price for a bottle and super tasty - 12€ and split four ways, it is great with an appetizer. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great prices, great atmosphere, great service and staff and even better food! We finished off five days in Rome with a dinner here. Started with a bottle of Chianti and the Margherita Pizza. Nice fluffy crust, perfectly cooked bread and delicious. Also had the Greek salad which includes their homemade yogurt dressing. Delicious! See pics below... For the main courses we had a combination of Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese (not on the menu so you'll have to ask for it) Ravioli, Grilled Chicken and a beautiful Calzone. All meals were amazing, cooked to perfection and delicious. The pasta was fantastic. No doubt our best meal and service in all of Rome. Also the best prices with nice portions and overall just what we needed to cap off a great visit. Ps - ask for the middle area and you can watch the Chef, she was great. Enjoy! read more

I randomly came across this place on a busy tourist street. My husband and I were searching for a place to sit and drink during the late night. The interior of the restaurant is very trendy with brick walls and a wine shelf. The location was very welcoming and we were seated right away. We ordered wine from the menu, which was great and did its job. I ordered fried vegetables, which were mediocre. I wanted to order the ravioli (shown on yelp), but they had run out for the night? Not too thrilled about that. I ordered lasagna instead and it wasn't great but not bad either. Overall I found this place mediocre. But I would stop by for a drink or two. read more

Great meal and great location. Situated between Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps, we wandered in hunger and were not disappointed. We ordered fries because the pizza was going to take 20 minutes. It did but was worth it. I also had a great salad with guacamole and smoke salmon. Oh, and there is free WiFi. read more

This place serves up traditional cheap yummy food. I ordered a calzone set. It came with a salad, tiramisu, coffee and a glass of wine for only €16!!!! This is definitely value for your money. A perfect little lunch spot for a full day touring Rome. We stumbled upon this place and I'm so happy that we did. I got to try the famous Rome white pizza and was farm from disappointed. I got the Caprese pizza which was flavorful and delicious. The basil and tomato were strong flavors and the dough and crust was very good. I love the fact that everything was natural and fresh as well. read more
