No appointment. I've been here numerous times and they're always very gentle. I have super sensitive skin and the aloe they use doesn't break me out. I've gone to other places that do. Never again. They also do a nice little temple massage at the end. I know I already mentioned that, but it truly is lovely. You don't always get seated immediately, but they will get with you quickly.
