This place does not care about their customers. They will not respect your time at all!! I bought the Groupon deal and contacted them. I made arrangements for their shuttle to pick me up at my hotel. Everything seemed to be good. I get to Las Vegas and on the day they are supposed to pick me up they are a no show!! I waited an extra fifteen minutes and called them multiple times. No body ever picked up the phone and they didn't contact me after I left them a message. They are rude and disrespectful. I would never recommend them to anyone. Not even my worst enemy. Okay. Walking into this place was like walking into a parody of what a gun range would look like. No joke, the people who were working there were all very nice and helpful, but it felt as if I was surrounded by a bunch of people at a Trump rally. no joke. It took me a while to not feel really uncomfortable being the only minority person there (not counting my significant other). Once I put that out of my head, I selected the 2nd Amendment package (it hurt me to choose this package b/c of the name), which allows you to shoot 25 rounds from an AK47, MP5, M4, and 10 rounds from a glock. I think it cost $130 or so. It was my first time shooting, so forgive me if I got those names completely wrong. The instructor took us out, got the guns ready, and showed me how to hold and shoot the gun. He was very patient and nice, and even for someone like me who had never held a gun a day in her life, it was very easy to replicate what he was doing, follow his instructions, and shoot at the target. I could tell that a ton of people coming thru here were just doing it for the photo-op, because he was VERY good at making time and giving suggestions for us to take pictures with the guns and of me shooting. Dare I say it......it was so freaking fun. haha. Politics aside, I really enjoyed shooting the guns for fun at paper targets, and I would 100% do it again. This is the first range I've been to, so I can't speak for the price, but it did seem like 25 rounds went by REAL quick on the 3 automatic guns, and $130 seemed pretty pricey for such a short amount of shooting. If I had just held the trigger down, I woulda gone thru the 25 rounds in literally 3 seconds. Next time around, I think I'd just get a bunch of bullets for the glock and just practice shooting with that b/c I wouldn't whiz through all of my bullets in 35 seconds like with the automatic weapons. Overall, I'd recommend the experience, even for beginners! read more

This place is located in an area with other gun ranges, however it was very hard to find. I bought a Groupon with this company. I would much rather have bought from the store itself because of the prices and how many guns you can shoot and the type. Don't get me wrong, you do get a deal but I just felt they had better deals with the actual company. It was fairly busy today but we were taken within a matter of 15min. We were taken by a gentlemen by the name of John h. He was quite the character, definitely was a big jokester. We really enjoyed his hospitality. When shooting the guns it was pretty loud but was super fun to experience! If your looking for a quick thrill this would be a good one. read more

Guns! Ammo! Men with guns! What's not to love about hanging out at a gun range surrounded by testosterone and lots of guns? This place is a lot of fun and going with friends makes it a better experience! This store has everything. The guys are cool because they're patient with girls who don't know what they're doing and make us feel comfortable. Before entering the actual range you're in a tiny glass room waiting for your turn and the excitement begins as you hear the shots get louder and louder. At this point the bad ass I was coming in is suddenly getting nervous and my palms begin to sweat. I was imagining just shooting things up like nobody's business but with every min passing I'm looking for excuses to not shoot. So once that door opened and we all entered the range my nerves got the best of me. The flying bullets and intense noise is a lot for someone who doesn't shoot often. Last time I shot a gun was years ago. So again we wait and by the time it's my turn I'm ready to just turn around. The guy who is waiting for me can clearly see my nervousness and he starts to crack jokes immediately. This put me at ease instantly. Good job to these trained guys who know how to handle all kinds of people. Once I put my big girl pants on it was on :) This guy was great. Made me feel safe. Built my ego and made me forget about my nerves. Something took over holding this M4 and once I got going the bad ass that is deep inside of me took over :) Loved this place! I got the 2nd amendment package so i shot a 9mm pistol , mp5, m4, and ak47. Defenitley had a great experience here. Price was very reasonable. Our gun instructor Big Zack was soo cool and taught us how to properly hold and shoot the more powerful guns. Next time im visiting vegas im coming here again. read more

This place is fun and the staff absolutely amazing! They provide a free shuttle pick up and drop off from your hotel. Colby was our driver and I think he may be the nicest person we have met since being in in the USA. He was chatty on the way there and the way home and answered questions about Vegas and some other random questions too. The vehicle was clean and had quite a few seats. When at the range, there are so many guys for sale on the back wall and in the cabinets, it was rather impressive. Oh btw, there is a designated Yelp (& other social media) check in matt. It was cool but unfortunately there was no wi fi for me to check in :( There are several packages to choose from and a range of guns to try. There is also a range of targets to choose from, including zombies, hostage situations, bottles and ducks and others. Gratitude is not expected but encouraged for staff. Bought a Groupon and called to see if we needed to make reservations, thankfully we didn't. We drove our down car so didn't request the shuttle service. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking. The gal at the register was very friendly, helpful, and patient especially since one of our group member's Groupon didn't go through to receive the code. She recommend us call Groupon to expedite the code which we did. While we waited, she allowed us to choose our targets. Shortly after, our trainer came and handed us earmuffs and glasses. They even allowed someone from our group who didn't want to shoot, to observe. Inside the range, we took turns shooting and our trainer, John, was kind enough to take group pictures for us, let us pick up our shell casings, and take an abundance of pictures with the different guns. Overall, I would recommend trying the Groupon and this place! After we exited, they offered us the shuttle service which we declined. They also have rubber bands to hold our rolled up targets! read more

2 stars because I feel we paid too much for what we got. We purchased groupons for this experience and it was over in 5 minutes. We paid about $100 for 5 minutes of shooting. Also 2 stars because they did not return our drivers license prior to departure. Toward the end of the day we realized we didn't have our drivers licenses and that it was still at Vegas Machine Gun Experience. They had our information from the waivers we had to sign with our cell numbers on it. They did not take the time to give us a call to give us a heads up that our drivers licenses were there. Great pickup service. The driver extremely knowledgeable of Vegas strip and helpful. As a female it truly sucks to be stereotyped and everytime I requested a certain weapon to fire "oh well are you sure? Ive never felt sooooo screwed!!! I went there to kill an hour and wanted to rent a 9mm. I told the guy I wanted a 9mm and filled out the paperwork. He walked me to the lane with the gun and a yellow plastic parts bin with some ammo in it. I figured he was going to set me up and supervise the first few rounds to see if I knew what I was doing...which he did. After emptying the clip I asked him where the extra rounds were. He said that was all of them (4 remaining of 20). I said, oh OK I guess I would need to purchase a full box of ammo to continue shooting. He said I would be required to buy another complete "package" which was $25 for a gun and 20 extra rounds. I shook my head in disbelief. I assumed I could shoot all day as long as I was buying thier ammo, renting the lane, buying thier targets and renting thier guns. That was not the case. When I was done shooting in all of 2 minutes I told him what bulls#@! I thought that was and how screwed I felt.. I and not a regular range shooter so I just sucked it up and figured next time I went anywhere I would have to ask if they were like any real range or do they screw you $25 at a time like the Vegas Machine Gun Experience. read more

He was forcing me to hold the machine gun in the wrong place on my shoulder and I ended up with gnarley bruises afterwards. Came here for a concierge event and I'm so glad I did! I am pretty intimidated by guns but I don't want to be. The staff was super patient and knowledgeable. Two-pronged review here. Visitors: I wanted to shoot a Desert Eagle. I mean, I really really dreamed of it. Even after hours of practice with my .9mm I really wanted to fire off something huge. But I knew as a lady with small hands and long nails and generally over-excited in Vegas, I had to do it safely. So I begged and begged (for about two minutes) my friends and husband to go over to the VMGE. I knew it would be a safe range with knowledgeable staff. What I didn't expect was this amazing Range Officer name Little John. Precise, always cautious, he was incredible. Let us split a package so that we could all fire the guns we each wanted to. Made sure we could get great video each time, and took the time to answer each question. He explained the history of each firearm, showed us how to safely secure it and still kept the jokes rolling the whole time. I loved this guy - at one point, I turned to him and shouted "That was better than sex!" - that's how relaxed I was on the range. And seriously, seeing your husband firing off a pump action shotgun like a boss is very....yeah, it's awesome. Could not have asked for a better experience. John took pictures with us and it's our favorite group shot of the whole trip. Locals: If you have a fear of guns, and you are ready to conquer it, come here. You can only get over a fear by learning how to first safely secure, fire and clean a weapon. You can only do that on a range like this one. And you should feel comfortable and safe, respected and listened to, and you can only do that at 3084 S Highland Drive. When we walked up, there were four guys standing outside, all armed (it was a certification day if I remember right). I never felt worried, one look with a practiced eye tells you this is what a truly responsible gun owner looks like. My husband had never been on a range before, and my two friends, an engaged couple, had not either. They were obviously nervous, but the guys greeted us and welcomed us to Vegas, asking where we were from. It worked to relax my group immediately; it was simply that this is a safe place and you could see it even before you walked in the door. They offer safety classes, basic instructional classes, they take the time with every customer that walks in the door. There were women there, customers and employees, all clearly comfortable and treated with respect. This is a place that you could come in and just say "I don't know what I'm doing, but I want to learn." And they will say "Excellent, welcome. Let's start with this." And if you're lucky, you'll get Little John as an instructor. We will be back, and many times. This is a great place, a true gem in the city, and we can't recommend it enough. read more

Bought 'The Nines' package, and used a coupon from 24/7 mag for an extra magazine of ammo. Reasonable value, in my opinion, when considered on a number of rounds-per-dollar basis, used across a handgun and two sub-machine guns. Oh and they have some fun targets to choose from too. Range staff were friendly and helpful. I forget the range officer's name (sorry!) but he was confident, informed and really friendly. Happy to take some photos too. Keith was our Range Officer who made sure we were safe and gave us instructions on how to handle our weapons. Never made us feel stupid. We were set up with Zach, who quickly made us both feel really comfortable and made sure to answer any questions that we both had. I recently went to the Vegas Machine Gun Experience (www.machinegunexperience.com) and had a blast. I liked it so much, i convinced a different friend to go with me again the next day. We all thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place both times. My one friend was even in a wheelchair and they were more than accommodating, even modifying the setup to make sure he got to shoot everything in the package that we chose. We drove but they do pick up and drop off, have groupon discounts and will let you watch, take pictures and videos for free. I did the 2nd amendment package the first time and then the special forces the next. Both were fantastic. We didn't book ahead of time, just showed up and picked a package when we got there with little to no wait each time. The main tip for fully automatics is to shoot with short bursts or else it ends really, really fast, lol! read more

My partner and I have talked about doing this for sometime and finally got 'er done. VERY glad we did. They picked us up from a nearby casino and took us to the range (see also "Discount Firearms & Ammo) where they had a large selection of weapons. We each did the $70 "one and done" deal with an AK-47 and M-4 and added an additional clip each for $15 so it was $85 x 2. Instructor "Little John" was great. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. Nobody was a gun snob and they didn't mind answering my many questions. Besides the basics of safety and gun operation he covered some of the strategies that are used to improve accuracy. It was great fun to see what it's like and a bit sobering to think about those who wield these weapons as their tools. Two clips is enough to realize that it would take a LOT of practice to become competent and way more to master. John was fine letting us take pictures afterwards and video during, even helping get the ridiculous tourist pictures holding the guns. The driver (also a range instructor) who picked us up and dropped us off was also very polite and knowledgeable which made for fun conversation on the way there and back. Highly recommend! read more

We had the best time shooting here and Zach with the full beard was awesome!!! He was so patient and really funny!!! He really cared about our safety!! He was a parent too which really made me feel comfortable as he showed my teens how to safely handle the M4 rifles. I loved that we got to pick posters of our targets, they were super cool! They had zombie, skeleton, and traditional targets. The front staff was extremely pleasant. I read a couple of reviews stating they were "rude." This was NOT our experience, the lady sitting near the range door behind the counter was funny, helpful, and kind. Bearded Zach was a range expert! He helped us with stance and aim. He made my teens feel comfortable. He taught me proper aim for the glock and I loved it. It really made me want to purchase a glock now.
