Whenever we are in town, they train there and have been doing so for many years. Impact is a great place to train and get your game ready for the next level, no matter what level that might be. Their skilled coaches, instructors, (medical) trainers, onsite nutritionist and strength coach are the best. Players from the NBA, G-League, college and top high school and AAU programs, as well as professional players from all over the globe travel to train here and get better. The innovative high energy skill drills are truly elite and the 5v5 runs against the best competition at each level of play can't help but make you better. My friend's husband is a pro wrestler with Adrenaline Unleashed and so hubby and I went to check out the action. $7 with a current flyer or $9 without. Not bad. They do have a snack bar because I saw it near the restrooms. Not sure, but people were carrying around nachos, popcorn, and sodas. I'm sure they were getting them there. I did notice there is an upstairs area that people were dancing and partying. I could see them through the windows that look out over the rink. From what we gathered is that there is an area upstairs to host parties. It looked like tonight they had a line dancing birthday party. :) The ring is setup on the left side of the roller rink and they had plenty of chairs setup on three sides of the ring. Props, ring, stage etc were setup by the organization and the chairs were the rinks supply. Take note that in the light chill of the Vegas winter and the heat of the Vegas summer...this huge rink is not climate controlled. They do have a HUGE warehouse ceiling fan and my friend said they use that during the summer sometimes.

The event itself was lots of fun, plus it was cheap -- only about $5 per person. It makes you appreciate the hard work, dedication, and precision of the performers in the WWE. No, really, I mean that. It looks dangerous and you'd never catch me doing that. I'd give the wrestling match good marks, but the venue... no way. The venue sucks.

This gym is fine for kids who are just starting out in cheer and want basic exposure to the sport…read more My daughter learned fundamentals and met some great teammates and families along the way. We have been part of this gym since season 1, including when it operated under a different name, so we've seen the program over multiple years. Unfortunately, many of the same issues continued season after season without much improvement. Communication was often last minute, unclear, or not communicated at all, which became frustrating as a parent. We also felt there was little transparency when it came to fees and extra costs, especially when some charges seemed excessive and was unexplained by owners. We also noticed high turnover of coaches and the constant changes made it hard to build consistency and trust. Athlete turnover also seemed very high along with inconsistent commitment from some athletes and families which created a cycle where teams were constantly rebuilding and many athletes stayed on lower level teams instead of having steady opportunities to progress. Because of the athlete turnover rate there weren't opportunities for athletes who wanted to move into higher level cheer teams. The owners often talk about how much they care about the kids, but unfortunately our experience didn't reflect that in practice. Ultimately, we decided this gym isn't the right fit for long term growth in the sport.

It was so much fun to see growth in my own child/ball player (5 years old) as well as others. We were impressed with the professionalism of all of the coaches. They taught the boys how to think, act, and be baseball players. Everything from how to dress - you know look good, feel good, play good to how to mentally, physically and emotional prepare for the game. Come baseball ready! The boys had a blast! They loved the coaches, the program and everything it had to offer. I loved that it made him "think" about baseball as more than a sport, but a true commitment, which included preparedness, homework included. Of course, nothing in life is perfect and it sometimes seems greener on the other side. But as long as our kids are happy and motivated, The Kick is where they will remain loyal to. The Rico's are tough instructors as they need to maintain structure and discipline in class, but they're family oriented and accommodating to try to fit your needs. They also offer kickboxing classes 3 days a week and my adult kid now 19 years old enjoy taking it to maintain active on days he doesn't have school.
