There is an employee named Irene that is amazing. She is the only one who I see cleaning and being attentive to the members. While the two young employees are most of the time outside smoking, at the front of the gym... Which by the way, should NOT be allowed at the front of a gym. Members are looking to be healthier and take better care of their bodies and here's employees smoking right in front. Irene is the only one We see cleaning and picking up trash and equipment that's out of place! Keep up the good work Irene. I recently relocated to Henderson and started utilizing this PF location. The gym is typically not too busy, even on varying times and days. There's always machines and dumbbells available. The staff is friendly and helpful when I have question or need to use the amenities. Plus the cleaning areas are always stocked!! read more

This gym is one of my favorite Planet Fitness locations. They keep it very clean gym and the staff take really good pride in keeping it nice and fresh making me want to come here every single day! There's rarely any gym equipment that's "out of order" and when they do it's usually fixed within a timely manner. It's somewhat of a small gym but definitely does the job when you want to get a good workout in. Like I mentioned before, this is one of the cleanest gyms I got to, the staffers do a really good job and customers recognize how hard they work while showing good customer service. I always see Planet Fitness staffers Carlos, Able, and Rebbeca working extra hard to keep the gym clean. The disinfectant bottles, paper towels are always filled and the trash cans are always emptied. Also, I've been in many gyms, this is the first gym I would rate 5 stars alone when it comes to keeping the restroom (Mens) in tip top shape. This includes, the sinks, soap dispensers (filled), toilets, urinals, floors and showers are always clean. I've been to nice restaurants that didn't have as clean restrooms as this gym does! I went in to cancel a membership I pay for that is no longer needed and the gentleman that helped me (didn't get his name) was extremely kind, helpful and professional. However, Karina butted into the conversation with attitude and extreme unprofessionalism. I understand he may have been new, which is okay. But the way she spoke to me very condescending is unacceptable. I told her she can drop the attitude as it is not necessary and she then told me I am difficult, no I am not. I came in to cancel a membership, that is not rocket science. After that encounter, the nice gentleman helped me finish what I needed to. Karina - the lack of professionalism and horrifying attitude is unnecessary. Really, this is only making your life harder causing more unneeded stress. Please reflect on your behavior and take some time to calm yourself down. Management/PF - please consider having Karina take anger management classes or stress relieving classes. Great gym with a solid atmosphere and friendly staff. The equipment is always clean and there's a good variety of machines and free weights, so it never feels too crowded or limited. I had to cancel my membership because of medical reasons on the Sept 12th - my membership renews on the Sept 17th and now I'm being billed for next month 'October' because they told me I should have cancelled before Sept 10th. This is such nickel n dime garbage once I'm able to I'll never rejoin this gym. There are other places to go. read more

I want to share my recent experience with the Planet Fitness on Sunset. The way the manager handled a serious incident involving an LGBTQ+ employee--who had a knife pulled on them--was unprofessional and deeply concerning. It's upsetting that this ultimately led to the employee leaving the company. It also makes me feel uncomfortable going into a location that does not actively protect and support LGBTQ+ people. Overall, my interactions with most of the staff, including management, were disappointing. The general atmosphere was not welcoming, and many employees came across as disengaged. There was one standout employee who was always smiling, genuinely happy to be there, and made every visit better. A few others were friendly and easy to deal with as well, but unfortunately, they were the exception rather than the norm. After leaving my initial review, I received six phone calls and about three voicemails from the location asking me to change or rewrite my review. This kind of follow-up felt excessive and unprofessional. As a result, I have canceled my membership, will not be returning to any of their establishments, and will be seeking a refund. read more

I had an unfortunate issue with a male employee at this location. I tried to get a hold of the manager (Karina/ Carina) but she doesn't take phone calls and there's always an excuse as to why she's not available. I was in the locker room getting ready to leave when an employee by the name of Crocs made an announcement saying he was going to come in to clean. I was standing close to the entrance so I let him know there was someone using the restroom, he responded with ok. While I was putting things in my bag I noticed he kept an eye on me, I just ignored it and proceeded to do what I was doing. During this time a group of three female came in to the bathroom area. I grabbed my bag and walked to the handicap stall which is the last one from the entrance. The girls left and I noticed that the employee walked straight to where I was and started wiping down the sink area. He could have easily started cleaning the first sink but chose to invade my privacy instead. I asked him to give me a couple of seconds to myself and he refused to leave. I noticed he was looking at me thru the crack in the doorway. I heard him say "who cares" meaning it didn't matter to him that I was using the restroom. I felt disrespected and violated. I am considering cancelling my membership. read more

So I've been coming for a couple weeks now and I am very impressed with how clean this location is. It is immaculately clean and you can observe employees walking around actively cleaning/vacuuming. I even witnessed a female employee go outside and pick up a towel that was on the ground in the parking lot. I have been to another location in town that appears to be older and much less attention is paid to its cleanliness. All the employees at both locations have been extremely nice and are patient when you ask them to start the hydromassage or give you the tokens for the massage chairs. I'd like to see a better system rolled out for the massage chairs where I can scan my phone or something instead of having to go get coins at the desk and have them look for my name in the list of people who checked in to make sure I'm a black card member. I feel that this process could be so much more efficient like scanning my membership card for the massage chairs/beds instead. I also would like to see actual equipment wipes instead of paper towels and spray. Also, I'd like hand sanitizer. These are small things, but overall this property has been really nice to visit and I'm glad they keep it so clean. read more

Location is clean and the staff is awesome!! on the other hand... it gets super hot sometimes more fans would be nice, some more leg based machines, there are lots of arm machines but more leg muscle machines would be a great addition...I am disappointed that even with the black card membership your plus one's cannot use your perks as in massage chairs, tanning booth and red light therapy. This gym is fantastic, I have visited many. The gym is always clean, the machines are always clean, the showers are always clean and hot. The dressing room has outlets so you can blow dry your hair in your own room. I always see the one young man working there during the day and he is always cleaning something. I went to the front desk to try and clear up the situation and have a conversation and no one was interested in talking. They told me to leave and threatened to call the cops. Very weird situation. I've been an active member of this location of Planet Fitness since 2016. The first few years it really felt like the staff was family. They were very friendly, personable and greeted me by name and I did the same. We got to know each other and it really made me look forward to going to the gym. If I skipped a day or my routine changed, it was noticed! I really felt cared about. I love that included with the black card membership is a personal trainer, which helped me a lot! Planet Fitness is a Great starter gym! No judgment! In recent years it seems the staff has been fluid. There are a few regular faces however, each day I never know who is or isn't going to greet me because that's the direction it's been going lately! It's like a revolving door there with the staff. Music level is moderate here :-) And the equipment is well cared for. Plus, really, the equipment here is the same as you'd find in other, more expensive gyms. .... Awesome gym experience! My wife and I chose this gym instead of other chains simply because of the benefits, the "judgement free zone", and rules against "gym lunks". Planet Fitness campaigns for a universal acceptance to all types of people who want to visit a gym. As a certified personal trainer myself, I applaud Planet Fitness on the execution of acceptance and approachability of the gym as a chain. Their app is fun to use and doesn't crash. Their locker rooms, restrooms, and showers are clean. The staff is helpful and pleasant. There are also multiple cleaning station placed amongst the workout machines so that you can clean before/after each use. They have a higher tier for the paid membership which gives additional benefits, and is still a lower price point than it's competitors. They have fitness classes taught by certified trainers. There's merch available for purchase. They also encourage refilling a reusable water bottle to cut back on waste. I am rating 4 stars instead of 5 because there have been times at this location where there isn't a consistency of availability of the cleaning materials, ex: the disinfectant is missing or out (usually in the afternoon hours). As someone who is a germaphobe and for a gym that claims "commitment to cleanliness", this seems like a necessity to keep restocked. read more
