Called to verify they would bill Medicare for a diabetic eye exam when making the appointment. When the appointment was completed they charged me $55! Doctor offered the photo over dilating the eyes without telling me the photo costs another $30. Asked for my prescriptions and a pupillary distance. Was told I would have to pay $15 for a pupillary distance even though I paid for an exam. I will never go there again and feel as a senior I was taken advantage of. read more

I've been going to Vegas Vision for about 10 years now. I love the doctors but the new receptionists (2 of them) are rude to the customers. I needed contacts and glasses so I had to pay a $75 contact fitting fee that I thought was in my account but my power company took it the day of my appointment. I just moved back for AZ so times are a little tough so I explained this to reception and asked if I can pick my glasses and pay as soon as I get my first check. This was never an issue before, seeing as I've always paid later before but now I can't pick up my already paid for glasses. It's so weird there now and once I pay I'll never return. Times are hard but most of us will always pay our debt even if it's a little later. I'm so disappointed. read more

He is kind, he explains everything and answers any questions you can have about your vision or glasses and offers the best advice. How can this place have less than 5 stars?! As someone who has worn glasses/contacts for 15+ years, I can tell you with absolutely certainty that THIS IS THE BEST OPTOMETRIST AND STAFF, EVER! First off, Dr. Chang is phenomenal. He is THE ONLY optometrist who I've had that actually takes the time to explain the basics of eye conditions, how they develop, what to expect, etc. He really take the time to answer any questions I might have and I never feel like I'm being rushed. He is very patient, professional, and you can really tell he loves what he does. The staff, ok let me just say THE KINDEST OPTOMETRY STAFF IN LAS VEGAS! They are always so sweet when I call, when I arrive, and are wonderful at following up. They go above and beyond to do things that other places have given me such a hard time about. For example, they offered to send my contact rebate on my behalf. I didn't even ask them to do that because I'm used to always doing it myself. It sounds small but lots of places just make you feel like they just want to take your money and run. I have went to this doctor many times for glasses and contacts. The doctor is nice, but the ladies in the front don't give a damn about you except when you're buying something. They ridiculously overcharge. I paid $400 for glasses that broke in 2 days (see pictures). I used my insurance that covers 2 pairs (VSP premium) and they kept declining stating that it only covered one. I asked for a copy of my prescription and they rolled their eyes at me when I asked since I told them I won't be coming to them anymore. I went ahead and got my 2nd pair at Walmart and will NEVER come here again. Place isn't worth the triple price or the disrespectful attitude towards customers, go to Walmart or literally anywhere else. read more

This is a small business with limited space and selections but the staff are friendly and professional. I had to go back to have my earpiece adjusted and there was hardly any wait to have that fixed. I got larger than usual lenses and they seem to smudge easily as soon as I put them on which is annoying but not sure that can be helped.... read more

I went there in July of 2023,to get a new pair of glasses and my sunglasses new lenses.it took over a 6 weeks to get my glasses and they were wrong.the young man who brings them to you tried to convince me I have to give my eyes time to adjust.A young man in my opinion was not very knowledgeable.I've worn glasses most of my life and never had this problem.long story short.i had to get reevaluated ,glasses had to be checked,and turns out they were wrong.The Dr approved the new glasses free of charge and i had to wait over a month.The glasses are ok and the sunglasses are terrible. Gave me multiple excuses why it took so long for both pairs.Excuses range from lens was broken in process,to them being lost and they were going to use a different vendor. The Kicker was not to worry I wouldn't be charged!what an insult! They used to be really good,I've used them for the last 8 years and I don't know what happened.Don't waste your time going there,I'll never go back.i have to go get a new pair of sunglasses to replace the lousy new pair I received.I wasn't about to to go through the same frustration,and exam ,like I was wrong!! I'll cut my losses and post this review for such a lousy job done! I only give this place an extra star because of the nice staff that works. As for organization, this place is disorganized in the order of their clients. I had an appointment at 10:45am to get my contacts fitted and it has taken them over an hour to get me called in and finished with my appointment. For something so simple as to getting contacts fitted I am waiting just as long as someone who would have done a walk in. I wouldn't recommend this place and would recommend taking your money somewhere else. I love that lady who works front desk like no ones business, I've been going here for almost 6 years and I have never had a problem with anything they have done. My daughter's and I were seen here and received glasses from them. My 10 year old has to have a replacement pair a week after her original pair and per my insurance company they didn't submit the request until 6 weeks after I had requested the replacement! Eyequest, my insurance me company told me to call them to make sure they did their job! I did and they stated they had done it HOWEVER, I never gotten a call for glasses for my daughter's replacement! I waited another few weeks and still no glasses so at this time it had been six weeks! I call again for my oldest daughter's replacement and speak to a manager about my youngest daughter and finally 2 weeks after that, I get the call for both pairs! This service took 2 months to get when it only should have taken 2 weeks! My younger daughter is almost blind in her left eye per the doctor and I had to wait so long for her glasses! I was upset, however just dealt with it and went about our business! A couple weeks went by and we had gotten an eye exam at her PCP and they stated she still could not see out of her left eye, even with the glasses! I called back and asked if we could get another exam maybe her eyes had gotten worse waiting for her replacement, they said that my insurance won't cover it but maybe we could get a discount on the exam! The doctor told us that we couldn't get a discount, because she had been seen in August, originally, when she had not had her glasses because they had been ran over by a car, when she was crossing the street, a week after she had gotten them and they didn't get her more glasses until 2 months later! I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THIS EYE DOCTOR ANY MORE THEY LET THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES TO THEIR PATIENTS SLIP THROUGH THE CRACKS AND THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT AT ALL! I HONESTLY DON'T THINK THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT TOLD THE DOCTOR SHE HADN'T DONE HER JOB, AND THAT SHE DIDN'T SUBMIT THE REQUEST FOR GET REPLACEMENT PAIR UNTIL THE THIRD TIME I CALLED! They are only about they money and not the patient! I had them mail out my prescription and I'll be going somewhere else! I do NOT recommend that anyone go to this doctor as they do not do their job, and they do not actually care about the patients care, only about the dollar! They should have at least went off the date by daughter had her second pair, as it was only a week later from her first pair that she needed a replacement and they didn't handle my file properly! My insurance told me they had no record of an request for a second pair! The front desk lady told me that as well, her name is Yvonne, and I know they didn't handle my file with diligence! I've been wearing glasses and/or contacts since the 3rd grade and this is hands down the best place I've gotten my specs. I've made the mistake of going to Costco Optical for the past few years figuring I'm saving some coin, but I've paid for those glasses in other ways... This place was not only competitive in price, but had a great selection of frames, professional and courteous service and best of all - one of the best fittings for frames I've ever had. I have a very heavy prescription and on top of that got a pretty large frame, but nevertheless, they fit easily and after 3 consecutive days I hardly feel them. This was NOT the norm for me. I usually have to wait a good week while my ears and nose get used to the new glasses, but I now know what it means to be properly fitted. read more

I was very happy with Vegas Vision , I had lost my eye glasses at Macy's and I needed a pair quick due to the fact that I had a flight in 2 days to Thailand. I just had to write a review for the awesome staff here at Vegas Vision. I went in for a routine prescription for contacts and glasses and didn't have an appointment. They were kind enough to take me as a walk in even though they were extremely busy. Everyone in this office was so warm, helpful, and cheerful! Dr. Troy Chang was my optometrist and he took the time to make sure I was getting the right prescription. A lot of times when offices are busy, you feel rushed, but not here. He gave me new trial lenses that were much more moisturizing and also rechecked them while they were on (since I'm in between prescription strengths). I also have double vision coverage and the staff didn't mind calling my insurance to get the exact amounts I was covered for. When it was time to order my lenses, they gave me different quantity options to choose from so I wasn't paying so much out of pocket. I was happy that I was also going to get a rebate to help with the cost! I will definitely be making this my permanent place for all my eye care needs! read more

I had a wonderful experience here on Wednesday. I didn't have an appointment but was told to come in when they opened and they might be able to squeeze me in. As a walk-in I was treated just as quickly as if I had an appointment. The ladies at the front desk were kind, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. The Dr I saw was also amazing. I can't say enough good things about the staff and this place. I will be coming back here from now on for all of my vision needs. So I went to Walmart after my haircut last month and Dr. Dominguez was ignorant enough to recommend me that place (meaning Vegas Vision) and when I called them (since I have a Medicaid insurance) because I needed a new pair of prescription glasses, they were okay last time and then a month later, when I called them again today and tried to find out the information and if they accept my Medicaid insurance, they immediately hung up on me! I tried to call again, twice, and the line is busy. They're so rude that I would give that place zero stars if I could! The front office staff is great. However the manager is a jerk and very insulting. The quality of their glasses is very poor. When I received my glasses I had to clean them every 30 mins, which was a problem. When I went back to the office the manager gave me a hard time. He would not listen to me and repeated the same explanation technical reasons for the problem over and over again. I never raised my voice and explained to him that my old glasses had the same addons on my old glasses and I never had that problem. After listening to him repeat the same thing over and over I told him that I understood what he was saying, but not being able to see out of the glasses because of smudges was a problem. I asked for the owner and he refused to give me contact information. Eventually he said he would talk to the owner. The owner agreed to send the glasses back to the lab to change the glare resistant feature at her cost. After waiting for three weeks I got my new glasses and I still had the same problem of them smudging (without me touching them) consistently. I asked for a refund and he to told me that just because I had to clean them every 30 mins was not a good enough reason for a refund. REALLY??? Now I am out of $157 and I'm using my old glasses until I can find another place to get glasses that are functionable. Don't be fooled by the nice ladies out front. read more

I really appreciate how the doctor takes the time to answer all your questions and explain everything to you. They definitely make you feel very comfortable here. The problem is the staff. There were so many mistakes. Like when I ordered a 90-day supply of contacts, but they only ordered them for one eye. When I tried to use my insurance to order for the other eye, they said I couldn't because I had to use my annual insurance amount all at the same time. This eye doctor is so professional, takes time with you to explain whatever you want to know. I have been going for two years now and will continue to. His staff is great... Very friendly and been working there for a while. I am not sure her name but a white lady who has been there a while is always so friendly even when she is under pressure and helped me pick out my glasses. The man who does the lens fitting helped me fix my glasses when I walked in with them broken, quickly for free. :-) I love this place and highly recommend it. Worse place to get glasses ever! I just wish that I could write a review with no stars, because they're not even 1. I went in, placed an order for my glasses, and I was told that it would be 7-10 days before I got them. I called after the 10 days, and they took that long to tell my that they had to order my lens, because they were out of them! Hello! How about giving a call, saying why there will be a delay, and ordering at that time instead of waiting a week?! I was told that my glasses would be ready on Thursday, I called on a Monday, but guess what? I called on Thursday and these unprofessional still hadn't ordered my lens, but had me under the wrong birthday, which is hard to do when I filled out paperwork, showed them my ID, and told them, and the heifer on the phone had the nerve to argue with me about when my birthday was! I should know my own birthday! She then put this twit on the phone, who was very condescending, and I admit that I let him have it, but I was told that my glasses would be ready on Monday, what a joke, because they didn't call, and tell me that my glasses were ready until Wednesday, but my boyfriend answered the phone, and he let his opinion be know, and he was told that the girls at the front desk had put my glasses on back order! Needless to say, my boyfriend went off this time, because it was going on 3 weeks for me to get my glasses, instead of 7-10 days. I got my glasses today, was treated very rudely, and so was my boyfriend, but we remained calm, because this is my last time dealing with their nonsense. While pleased with the service, I have to reluctantly rate this business poorly. I took in a pair of $550 Chanel sunglasses to have prescription lenses inserted. Vegas Vision was supposed to return my original lenses. It is standard ophthalmic protocol to return the original lenses. When I picked up my glasses the original lenses were not returned. The owner stated they had been discarded. Vegas Vision refused to replace my missing lenses. Now I have a pair of sunglasses that are *greatly devalued* since I no longer have the original lenses. So when I gift the glasses to my daughter, she will be forced to purchase new lenses at $125. A company should make things right with their customers especially if they deviated from standard protocol. read more

Dr. Troy Chang was my eye doctor well over 14 years ago, in an office I believe on Bonanza Rd, then moved to a Wal-Mart, and his wife Dr. Julie Chang took over that Optometry office and Dr. Troy opened up a separate one. They now have two separate offices, and I will follow Dr. Julie Chang or Dr. Troy Chang wherever they go. Dr. Julie has been my main Dr. and I refuse to use any other, she is absolutely the sweetest person ever and always is so welcoming. Her receptionist/assistant (I believe her name is also Julie) is also the sweetest and has been with Dr. Julie since I can remember. Also not to mention Dr. Julie is bilingual which was very helpful when I was a child due to my moms language barrier. 14 years later, and looking forward to my next apt that I need to schedule (most of the times I call morning of.) I couldn't brag more about how awesome they are, if I could I would give them 10+ stars. read more

These folks are awesome!!! I was in dire need of glasses, mine had died a slow death. They were able to get me in as a walk in. This has got to be thee most complete exam I've had in 40 years! They performed 2 exams that have never ever been done on me. When I went to pick a pair of frames I asked for help to get the best frame for my face. She looked at me for a couple seconds and boom... she got it right first shot! I was so happy. They said it would take about ten days ... it didnt. 3 days later they were ready to be picked up. Those people complaining about having to pay extra while on Medicaid...medicaid (as well as straight insurance) pays for no frills and if you want tint or designer frames etc of course your going to pay extra. My experience with this place deserve 0 stars out of 5. First the staff, belittle my insurance because its government and not private. Then because of this I was treated like I wasn't even worth being seen as a patient. I've never gone to an optometrist that left me so upset. If you think your talents are above government insurance DONT ACCEPT THE CONTRACT but because you NEED the extra income you TAKE IT ON. You have no right to make anyone feel like their only as good as their insurance. Especially when you couldn't CUT IT AS A REAL DOCTOR. As much as you don't want to take on the low income clients, that's as much as I don't want to go to the lowest paid Doctor that couldn't even make it through RESIDENCY.
