Honestly I only came here because my insurance recommended them. If I could give them zero stars I would. The doctor and a few staff members are kind and good but most are horrible. They ignore you and treat you like garbage for asking a question and I couldn't just pick up my new glasses I had to sit and wait. There were at least 10 staff members working while I was there and not a single one of them was nice to talk to. Everyone was so down in the dumps and acted like I was an annoyance to them. Not a single person even gave me a smile or asked how i was doing. It was like they had never talked to humans before. I waited 45 mins after my appointment was scheduled to be seen by the doctor and the doctor rushed through my exam. The whole staff besides the doctor seemed like they were new and didn't know what they were doing, and on top of all of that I am 90% sure they don't clean any of the equipment they use that we all put our faces on. i got an eye infection from my visit here w dr rachna gupta. will be reporting her to state board of optometry as well as with the federal trade commission. do not go here! you run a huge risk and theres nothing her office staff will be able to do for you since this is her private practice. she is also extremely rude and condescending. i've had the same prescription for over 15 years, i figured i schedule a routine exam with this office since it's only 4 mins from my home. i came in and was scheduled w dr gupta. as i waited outside her office she called a patient in front of me and was out and done w her within 5 mins. she shouted out to the front office rep that patient had a really bad ? infection on her eyes and prescribed some kind of medication. ( don't recall the name of eye infection she mentioned or the prescription) 1. don't shout your patients business out in the hallway in front of other patients (that's violating they're privacy and hipaa laws) 2. 5 mins for an eye exam ridiculous soon after she called me in, did not ask me for reason for visit, or eye concerns or even said hello, she just preceded to ask me to sit in front of different machines 1. i did not see her change her gloves after last patient 2. i did not see her wipe down the equipment she used on me prior to my exam or after ( after she was done w me she immediately called the next patient into the room) 3. she continuously kept touching the area around my eyes with her fingertips 4. she wanted to charge me $100 for my contact lense prescription which violates the federal trade commission "contact lense rule" which means she should provide my prescription at no charge! unfortunately the day after my appointment i woke up w my eyes extremely watery, itchy and lots of mucus and blurred vision. do not go here! 8/8/2025 AGAIN VIOLATION HIPAA LAWS! Sharing very personal, detailed information about my visit of me as patient in her reply, Ms Gupta it's time for you to revise appropriate laws that apply to your profession. You are money hungry and extremely unprofessional. My exam could not have been more than 5 minutes! Stop trying to squeeze in as many patients as possible and instead, Take your time with each patient appropriately and sanitize your equipment for our safety. And last learn to speak to your patients respectfully instead of being condescending like you were to me when I asked you about the contact lens information. read more

I just wanted to take a minute to recommend Desert Eye Care for all of your optical needs. My son and I came in for our eye exams and new glasses. The girls at the front desk were all super nice. Over on on the optical side Rafa helped us and he was also great. He was super patient and helpful. I appreciate that he took his time with us and didn't make us feel rushed while we were trying on and selecting our frames. We ordered four glasses in total and they all came back within 2-3wks. Absolutely the worst excuse for an optometrist office I have ever been to and I've worn glasses my entire life. The whole eye exam didn't take 5 minutes, when I have some significant eye issues that need to be addressed periodically. I get it. They want to crank as many people through the mill as possible, but come on!! And then came the fitting of the frames. So the girl told me to pick out a frame I liked. So I picked out the STYLE , but I know NOTHING of fitting the frame to my face. The girl starts marking for bifocal lenses. Never ATTEMPTED to find a Frame that fit my face. When the glasses came in, a month later, I went to pick them up and find the frame is to big for my face! Surprise surprise. They fall off my face and so what does the glasses girl do? Bends the ear piece back so now it digs into the spots behind my ears. Hurts like hell! And digs into my nose. I get a headache from wearing them.. So now I have to find an optometrist whose staff can accurately fit a pair of damn glasses to someone's face. And I'll be damned if I'll EVER go back to this shithole to have them corrected after it took a month to get them initially. And..... I'll advise all my acquaintances to never darken their doorway. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, EVEN THOUH THEY ARE CHEAP. read more

I've been coming here for years now to get my glasses and the employees are always super sweet. They have a good selection of frames. I haven't had a issue with any perception yet. Seems to always be correct. Only issue I've ever had was when bringing one of my younger children here. The doctor seemed to get a little frustrated because my daughter was having a hard time making choices during the eye exam. Might have just been a bad day though. read more

Honestly they are so advanced ! I saw a review about how "they're always on their phone" but that's how they helped me!!! I got in contact with them while I was hospitalized and I needed special glasses made by my discharge day. Since I was having a hard time with phone calls and couldn't make my way there, over messages they got all my stuff and all I needed to do was pick them up! In today's era it's easier to text/email/message with people because we live such busy lives. They go an extra mile to accommodate patients. If I could give them 10 stars I would. So, make sure you have 100% battery charged on your phone prior to arrival. I understand there's other patients also waiting their turn but, come on!, only one "Doctor "!??? I'm writing this review because local residents of Nevada should be aware of convenient, respectable facilities that provide optimal care. I arrived 10 past my appointment time and was seen fairly quickly which I appreciated. After being escorted to the exam room the " Doctor" hastily gave me an examine that lasted all but 4 minutes. She insisted that I had eye problems which I was aware of but she did not explain to me what the problem was and shrugged me off with an attitude saying she felt she spent enough time with me. Overall as a doctor she conducted herself very poorly and expressed it to the receptionist. As I was about to get my prescription and go elsewhere for my glasses when a employee name Rafael went ABOVE AND BEYOND to be relatable and assist me with finding glasses that I was not only comfortable with wearing everyday he also made a point to make sure it was affordable (not limiting me to basic Medicaid covered lenses). If your looking for a through examine I would NOT RECOMMEND! Very rushed and unprofessional. read more

I arrrivrd at 11:45 for my 12:15 appointment and was on my way home at 1:00. That was good. However, I found the optometrist to be a bit brusque. Rafael is AWESOME! He truly took time with me and looked at all the prescriptions I've had over three years to see what changed. He also discovered the previous eye care place measured my pupil distance incorrectly - which caused a blurry section in the lens. He took my old glasses to donate to the homeless. They believe my review is a bit cruel. Well this is unacceptable. Been receiving messages and will put them on blast. Will not accept this kind of treatment. The young lady took the time to send me a message her self. I understand they help people over texting who can't make it to there office but there should be a time for that. I took a pair of old frames to another shop for lenses and it really ruined them. So I went and talked to Ralph about my problem and he solved it in a professional manner. The other eye centers only gave me a headache but he really took the time to inspect, advise, and correct the issue. Had my prescription from 3.75 go to 1.75 now only 20/40 vision. My eyes feel great and glasses brought to 20/20. Healthy habits like removing glasses reading on distance glasses. Poor Quality work. Dr. is in a rush. Took me 8 weeks to get my glasses because they got the prescription wrong and I had to have both pairs re made. Alot of wasted time. Save yourself the trouble. This review is for the worker lady that yelled at Daisey and Jennifer in front of literally everyone and made them feel embarrassed. That was genuinely not okay, and you really shouldn't have a job, especially if you find yourself harassing and embarrassing your own faculty in front of other customers. You can lose customers like that. At first I noticed it and was like "oh maybe they didn't do their job" but then I get through my eye exam, into the moment I just wanted to grab my prescription and order the rest online because I thought maybe those girls didn't know how to do their job, until I actually sat down and asked daisey myself if she could help me. She found the perfect frame for me, she set me up through my care provider and even managed to make me feel better about myself and FIXED MY GLASSES all while I was wondering why you guys treat employees like garbage. The 5 stars, those are for the workers who matter and do what they need to do, those are for Jennifer and Daisey. Thank you guys. I don't normally write reviews but I think this is worthy of a comment. First of all, I would like to say I do like the Dr. she was great. I needed an increase in my Rx which she did. I told her I wear contacts and she said to me, we need to increase the one eye to this number. She said this to me three times. I just assumed she wrote it down in my chart. So, I went to order my new contacts after I ran out, which was 5 months later. The contact place could not obtain my Rx for that and I called and the Dr. was off today. They informed me I had to make an appt to see the Dr. again to be "fitted " for my contacts ( another 100.00). So, long story short, I couldn't get my contacts without seeing the Dr. that is what they told me. Well, I just did a quick exam for 20.00 and got them. I feel this was the Doctors mistake not mine, she verbally told me my Rx and did not write it down in my chart so this has caused me a huge problem. read more

Showed up for my apt 15 minutes early and didn't get taken until 20 minutes after my apt which was fine because I assumed the doctor was just taking their time with patients meaning they actually wanted to thoroughly make sure they are doing their work correctly and patiently. But when I got taken back I felt very rushed with the doctor. She had said at first that I don't even need glasses yet all growing up every eye doctor I had been to had told me I need them. Then after the rushed tests she agreed I need glasses. So they got me taken care of with a nice recommended pair. I wasn't aware until now that I have to make an appointment to pick up my glasses. I've always just went and picked them up. It's been about over two weeks and figured I'd have them by now but am going out of town and stressing about the appointment the same day I'm leaving because I need my glasses. I work at a computer all day and it has taken a max toll on my eyes. Headaches. Can't focus them. Overall it's a really good staff. Just not a big fan of the appointment having to be made to retrieve my glasses. read more

This office has the slowest service that I have experienced in many years. I recently took my mom to get a routine eye exam and waited about two hours to be called to the back. Once in the back, we were then asked to wait more in another waiting room in the back. I decided to cancel the appointment and looked for another office to take my elderly mother to be seen by an Optometrist. While waiting in the main waiting room, I experienced the worse display of unprofessionalism by an employee who was making jokes using inappropriate language in Spanish. I was very disappointed with the entire staff. They don't seem to care about their appearance. This is important to me because if they do not care for themselves, they won't care about the patients. I made an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. Have now been sitting here for 45 mins and have yet to be called. I asked the front desk if they knew how much longer and I was advised another 15 minutes. I have all my children with me as they are the ones to be seen and having to sit an hour and not be called when I've made an appointment is ridiculous. It is clear that another Dr. Needs to be brought in. This place is obviously triple if not more booking times. I went in as a "walk-in" a few days ago. The office staff was friendly & professional. They seem a bit young but I was more than okay with their youthful manner, it keeps the office "fun". Since I didn't have an appointment I expected to wait until next Christmas but to my surprise I was seen fairly quickly. The eye doctor was knowledgeable & very helpful. She listen to my concerns & answered all my questions. I was inserted with temporary plugs for my tear ducts which I was unaware of their existence. I honestly don't have any complaints or negative comments; & the only reason why I didn't give it a score of 5 stars was because I have been to better offices. With that being said I don't want to take away from my positive experience here. I definitely will recommend this office to family & friends. read more
