Hope For All - Hours of operation? But not the store hours? I have no idea.

    Hope For All

I'm moving out of my house and had a bunch of furniture to get rid of. Did not want to dump it in a…read morelandfill and we had a tight timeline so selling it was out of the question. I was able to schedule a pick up with hope for all online for the next day! The called and texted ahead to confirm, took a $5 deposit and the pricing wasn't bad either. I did the math and if I were to remove it myself it would have cost me $200 and so much time and work. They had it out for $350 and it was worth every penny! I'm glad that the stuff will be reused and we have a lot less to deal with now.

I met a lady that suggested I donate all of my leftover garage sale items to this charity. She told…read moreme they are only open one day a week, on Wednesday between the hours of 11-1pm. I don't think I got any correct information from her, but I went to Hope For All on a Wednesday at 12:15pm. The parking lot is full, people scurrying about but they are all very old people. I find the correct door, go in and a tall bald man across the way by the clear flap door gives me his full attention and says can I help you? I said I was there to shop, but really checking out this place I've never heard of. He informs me there is no shopping on the Wednesday before the yard sale. I'm thinking WTF is he talking about? And that look must have passed across my face because he reiterates it again, "Yeah, there's no shopping on the Wednesday before the yard sale. I'm sorry." I was really confused at all these old people coming out from the back like they had been shopping and that this guy was blowing me off with such finality. I just said OK and left and snapped a few pictures while mentally writing my review. Like whatever-you don't want someone buying your donated stuff on a day you clearly are open. Cool, bro. You can't take the time to greet someone and tell them about the efforts of your charity? Awesome, peace out.

I had put a post on reddit asking for suggestions for movers in the area and Bookstore Movers was…read morerecommended by almost every person who responded. Patrick and his crew, Renaldo, Nitua, Gerand and Kevin, exceeded the already high expectations I had based upon the reviews. I will happily recommend Bookstore to family and friends and will never use another moving company. Their strength, kindness, commitment and pride in their job and the company, organization, efficiency as a crew (this was amazing to watch- they just flowed as a team of 5 and Patrick was an excellent leader!), was consitent and apparent throughout the entire time they spent with us. I really can't say enough good things about the experience and hope to work with them again when we hopefully buy a place and move in the next couple of years. The price was also incredibly fair, worth every penny for their first-rate and professional work and incredibly pleasant dispositions, just a really great group of guys!

I moved this past weekend and hired Bookstore Movers for the job. I can honestly say I was blown…read moreaway by the professionalism, efficiency, and expertise of the moving crew. I worked with a different moving company 2 years ago that left me scarred for life with how rude and unprofessional they were. I ended up having to finish the job myself (moving my giant couch up four flights of stairs), so when I knew I was moving again, I did my due diligence and sought out a few quotes. Another company quoted me almost $800 and required a 3 hour minimum for the job!! $800 seemed steep and I knew the job wouldn't take that long... Along came Bookstore Movers who quoted me a reasonable $470 minimum for two hours of work and a maximum of $680 for 3.5 hours of work (price breakdown: $140 per hour with 2 hour min. plus a $190 truck fee). I received a quote within a few hours of requesting it. There was no deposit required and the date was booked. I received detailed emails leading up to the move about FAQs, tips for a seamless move, and the names of my crew including contact info for the crew lead. Abdul (crew lead), Niiwayo "Y.O", and Milly were SO fast and friendly. They wrapped every single item with care in drop cloths and got to moving immediately. Despite the 90 degree heat and a total of five flights of stairs, the job was finished in 2 hours. I was SO impressed. I was so traumatized by my last move that I literally had to walk away while they moved the couch in but before I knew it, I got a text from my boyfriend telling me they had fit it through the door and our living room was all set up. I was so relieved and happy to work with them. If and when we move again, (hopefully not anytime soon, lol), I will 100% be contacting Bookstore Movers... and you should too!
