My friend and I live in the same complex and moving to another unit across the parking lot. So, we need her place and my place moved into one space. We have packed everyone up and though we were ready to go. They called me to confirm my move today and spoke with Chris. We went over the items and then the price. He even threw in a free kitchen packing kit and said the guys would help. Cool. He also gave me discount and I was happy. Kion calls me an hour later asking me to confirm the move. What? I spoke to Chris. We go over things and he tells me we are good to go. I am emailed a confirmation and then see a different price. I call back and speak to him again and he says, oh, that is an estimate but we would be done before that price. Then, I get a call from Mike. He wants to confirm my move and inventory. What the heck? He says his notes are confusing so he wants to check. We go over things, AGAIN. He then tells me that it sounds like more work so, he is going to send 5 guys instead of the original 2 guys and a truck because it's gonna be a big job and that it would take 9-12 hours and double the price that I was told. Umm, what? For a 2 bedroom apartment?? He tells me I can speak to his general manager, Kion. I literally confirmed with him before! I literally start crying because I am already stressed from preparing to move in a timely manner before the 31st. Kion and I speak again and he won't even let me get a word in and trying to say that the numbers Mike estimated are correct and that there is no way it wouldn't be a full day job. I cancelled, he says he will return my deposit and then transfers me to customer care where the guys asks me what can he help me with? You tell me, sir. He hears me out and says he need to speak with Kion to get his perspective and will call back. No one has called. Lesson learned to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. read more

All My Sons Moving - Virginia North This moving company needs to be investigated for fraud or deceptive business practices. I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options. read more

Title: Disastrous Experience - Avoid This Company at All Costs: I am incredibly disappointed with All My Sons Moving Company. While the actual moving crew was courteous and friendly, the logistics, timing, and pricing were completely unacceptable. Here is why you should look elsewhere for your move: Massive Delays: The team showed up 7 hours late and moved with absolutely zero urgency. Poor Execution: They could not get a piece of my sectional through the apartment door. I instructed them to put it in the bedroom instead, but they left it completely wrapped up in the moving padding and plastic wrap for me to deal with. Property Damage & Leftovers: They left several other items behind at the old location and managed to damage my walls during the process. Ridiculous Fee Double-Dipping: I expected and agreed to their 18% diesel fuel surcharge. However, they also charged me a $144 truck-fill fee and a $189 travel fee. For a short 6-mile trip, this is blatant double-dipping and price-gouging. Extremely Slow Pace: I was moving a simple 2-bedroom apartment with only about 25 boxes and totes total. There were no stairs involved, yet it took them 4 hours to complete. They appear unhurried and lack the sense of urgency I would expect from a paid, hourly service. As a retired teacher on a fixed budget, I carefully planned for a 4-hour move which includes the $169 travel charge.What I did not anticipate was the crew spending 2 full hours wrapping furniture for a one-bedroom apartment -- one with no dining room furniture. In my experience with other moving companies, that stage of the process is completed in a fraction of the time.The slow pace has made it clear that my move will far exceed my budgeted timeframe, creating an unexpected financial burden. The biggest surprise is when I got the bill. I was in total shock when I saw $ 298.00 for travel and gas. I knew about $169 for travel but $148.00 for gas was a total shock. Arrived 90 minutes late. Packed half the condo, and then left four hours later. They freakin' left!!!! The movers who brought my stuff to my new home were stellar. The only good part to report. A lot of breakage. One box was just filled with teapots and Lladro figurines. Not one thing in this box was wrapped. Four out of the five Lladro figurines were damaged: one of them beyond repair. I couldn't find the chipped pieces on two of them. A premium Hall teapot was chipped on the spout. It was a miracle the damage wasn't worse. I am still uncovering damage to other items. I will be the first to admit that the condo was not clean and was frankly, a mess. However, that doesn't excuse this shoddiness. Additionally, I gave Mr. Ebanks several hundred dollars to tip the crew, and he was admonishing me not to say anything to the crew. I wonder now if the crew got anything, or if they did, how much. How could I have been such a sucker? The worst part was that the foreman of the crew, Matthew Ebanks, volunteered himself to complete the move. What was I thinking??? What proceeded was the most incredible ripoff ever, with countless delays beyond the agreed upon move date, that took some major PayPal battles to recover thousands of dollars. I fired Mr. Ebanks and finally ended up hiring a couple of guys. The three of us completed the rest of the job. I know Mr. Ebanks was working me by "volunteering" to work off the books. I know this part of the job was not an All My Sons official job. What this does show me is the low caliber of the integrity of their local management. I purchased their additional $175 insurance because I was promised it would cover my items if they broke or damages caused to the apartment or home by their movers. I scheduled a move for 3/23/25 at 12am, got a call that they were on their way 2 hours early. I asked if they could stop for lunch to give me time to finish up what I was doing and was told that was the only option or to reschedule because they have a scheduled out day, so I left the meeting I was in early and went to go take care of them. Their movers were polite and cordial and listened well while I was there but they said this was their last move of the day. which meant they could have grabbed lunch or stuck to the schedule. When I left to go take care of the new property we were moving into, I come back and they've slowed down dramatically. I offer to go get them some waters or gatorades, which they were grateful for and hopefully encourage a faster pace. In the mean time, I'm packing up items they aren't able to take in the garage. I pack a U-Haul full, travel there, unload, and come back 3x before they're done packing a two bedroom apartment that's already packed up or staged and ready to go. once they get all loaded up, their truck breaks down... for 3 hours with all my stuff on it. when they finally get it running and they get to the new house, they rush, damage my door frame, scrape my wall, damage furniture, and break a 3k tv. Im still polite, pay and try to be as patient as possible. when I submit the insurance claim (mind you I bought their extra insurance they promised will cover damages up to $5k and was promised it would cover repair fees damages to everything, including the home), their insurance settlement was $265 for EVERYTHING they broke/damaged. read more

Day comes, they show up late, with four movers, and take 4 hours to move out a fully packed apartment. They didnt take a bunch of things (like barstools) and still took forever. Then took almost two hours to get to our new house, 20 minutes away. When they got here, they took 3 hours to move everything in. Hired this company for my move from Greenbelt, MD, to Clarksburg, WV. This was a challenging move, made more difficult by the "bull in the china shop" approach by the supervisor and his minions. Countless items smashed. Lladro figurines and teapots packed in a box with no wrapping or padding. Job was half done and they left!!! Then the supervisor, Mr. Eubanks, offered his services to complete the job off the books. This man is a ripoff artist of the highest water. Had to go to PayPal and dispute his charges, because he did not meet my deadline, delayed numerous times, and even hit me up for a loan!!!!! Tell me this wasn't the beginning of a long con. I ended up hiring a couple of men in WV, hired a truck, paid for their meals and time, and got it done for @3.5K: far less than what Mr. Eubanks got from me. BEWARE: DO NOT BOOK YOUR MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY!! FIND ANYONE ELSE!! I called All My Sons Moving and Storage and discussed my full scale packing service and move with Steve (Jan 2026). He was eager to get my business from another big box company and guaranteed that he could do my full job for a $2,500 flat rate including packing materials. He said "if it's over that they'll just have to be mad with me but you won't pay over what I quoted. I'll make sure you're taken care of." Unbeknownst to us, Steve subcontracted our job to Wayne's Moving Services, LLC (another dumpster fire company. See separate review on Yelp). Nevertheless, we decided to proceed. An estimator did a virtual inspection of the items to be packed and said the price would be $2,695. We agreed to pay the additional amount. Prior to the pack and move, the communication was horrific. We weren't kept informed of delays, reschedules, plans, or anything. Our job's dates and times were changed multiple times without our knowledge or approval. Steve tried to assist when his subcontractors were non responsive but it was clear he was not in charge, had no authority over, nor took any responsibility for his subcontractors poor performance. His subcontractors extorted us for an additional $400 over the contracted rate because they "underestimated the job and just needed to pay my guys". When my husband challenged him on this, Steve reneged on what he promised and claimed he never said that. Steve is shady and does not honor his word. He's argumentative and patronizing. Their business model is built on bait and switch. They get you to book with them for a lower price then you end up paying a lot more than what was agreed upon because they leave you with no choice. All My Sons is not a reputable company and I wish I had read the Trust Pilot reviews before booking with them. Our experience was unnecessarily STRESSFUL and I pray this review keeps someone else from booking with them. read more

All My Sons moved us on 8/18/2025 (Kensington to Rockville, MD), and it was an absolutely infuriating experience from start to finish. Not only did they break the pedestal base of our Bassett kitchen table during unloading--completely destroying a centerpiece of our dining set--but the supervisor openly admitted his crew was responsible. Filing a claim has been a headache, and I have zero confidence they'll make it right. The way All My Sons bills is nothing short of predatory. They nickel-and-dime you with endless add-ons and fees, and it's blatantly obvious they drag out the move as long as possible just to pad the bill. Half the crew actually worked, while the rest just loitered around, smoked, and watched others do the heavy lifting. I even had to move some of my own items because the lazy half of the team couldn't be bothered. It's clear this is a deliberate strategy to squeeze every last dollar out of customers. Took 3 movers 4 hours to pack up a 3 bedroom house with that was barely furnished. They were overheard saying how small the job was and proceeded to move as slow as humanly possible. If that wasn't bad enough, they didn't use any protective material while packing my 85 inch tv, just cardboard and plastic wrap. They only offered $150 for the damage. Engaged the company to move our two bedroom apartment on 11/29/24. The movers showed up 3 hours late and damaged multiple furniture pieces in the process. They would not allow me to take pictures of the damage - they claimed I was taking pictures of them and repeatedly walked off the job and sat in the moving truck talking on the phone and smoking for half an hour at a time before their supervisor could persuade them to resume the job. I was being charged hourly and was not compensated appropriately for this "dead time". They were threatening, hostile and confrontational throughout - our apartment building manager had to get involved, was monitoring the situation on security cameras, and police had to be called twice to stand by. One of the movers also started taking picture of me on his phone while yelling at me because he was under the delusion that I was "taking pictures of him". I didn't need to take pictures of him because the entire situation was being captured on multiple security cameras throughout the building and at the loading dock - I did want to take up-close pictures of my personal belongings and the damage that was caused by improper handling (stacking furniture haphazardly on top of each other, furniture thrown in the moving van, pieces not properly wrapped/protected as they said they would do). They were smoking while handling my furniture pieces (cigarette in one hand while moving my nightstand and daughter's crib). They were dumping the ash onto my furniture and broke/badly damaged multiple pieces. After loading up the truck they drove off and disappeared for an hour and a half, claiming they were "going to lunch" (ay 5:30 pm). I was on the phone with the police filing report of stolen items when they finally rolled up to the house. While unloading they dumped bags of my personal items on the ground "accidentally". They left everything in the garage because there wasn't enough time to complete the move (i.e. bring things inside and assemble furniture"). It was 8:30pm by the time they left - they were supposed to start the move around 10:30am. They also couldn't transport all of our belongings because they ran out of room in the truck - our contract was for a COMPLETE move. They run up the clock in order to overcharge you. I also purchased $175 worth of additional insurance from them to cover up to 5K in damages - the manager "Keon" claims he send me the claim packet by mail, but it hasn't arrived and he is ignoring follow up communications. Where do I even begin.... I had a 10 minute move down the street from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom unit. A 10 MINUTE MOVE!! The 3 guys started at 3:45 and ended at 9:30pm for a 10 minute move. I paid $1400 just to move down the street! The crazy thing is I had already moved a ton of my own items myself and all they had were a few boxes and the large furniture items. The men were moving extremely slow and one of them kept sighing as if he was annoyed that they had to move a heavy dresser with a mirror (which is a standard item). They even asked me several times whether I wanted to move this item as if I was going to change my mind. I literally gave them snacks & water and tipped each of them $20 and they were still moving slow (which I figured was intentional to get more money). One of my lamps was broken in the process and at one point they left a piece of my furniture in the elevator of my old apartment. Had I not taken the elevator, I wouldn't have seen it. We had an excellent experience with this company for out move from the Baltimore area to northern Vermont. From a most immediate call back when we were looking for quote; to the video walk though where we were given a couple of different options for the move; to the move itself. On loading day seven guys came and were done with our very full house within about 4.5 hours. Three days later (it was our request to delay delivery and unloading) four of them met us in Vermont and within 6 hours had unloaded everything to the locations in the house that we requested. They were interesting, funny, dedicated, and hardworking. We would highly recommend them and would use them again. read more

The movers moved one piece of furniture from to my apartment. It's an antique Italian fruitwood dresser. The furniture was leg is not the mirror was attached in a very dangerous and unbelievable way and also movers kept moving very quickly and didn't really give me a chance to inspect the mirror. It's terrible and it's unsafe. I was pressured into writing a Google review at the end of the move and giving them a five star I'm trying to figure out how to remove that. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Do not walk, RUN away from this company! I had three large mirrors wrapped in padded blankets in preparation for my move. When the movers arrived, they unwrapped them in an attempt to nickel and dime me and said that they had to use their packing materials to ensure that the items didn't get broken. They carelessly broke 2 of the 3 mirrors and when I asked him to take another mirror in it's place, he wanted to play let's make a deal and said that the only way that he would take the 4th mirror that I had to agree to not file a claim for the 2 broken mirrors. I called the office to discuss my broken items and spoke to Keon. I asked him how to go about being reimbursed for m broken items and he stated that I had to file a claim. When I asked how long does that process take he advised that he did not know. I explained to him that under no circumstance is I don't know a sufficient answer. When they got to my drop off location, I provided instructions on where to unload and the driver spent over 20 minutes driving around stating that he could not unload where he was advised to by my rental office. I called the office and spoke to Keon who was so rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak to someone over him he grew increasingly irate and hung up on me several times. At one point Marcus called back and I asked again who was in charge and he stated that Keon was the only person that I was able to speak to. I explained that I would prefer not to speak to Keon because of his lack of empathy and professionalism. Keon could be heard in the background screaming, "FUCK YOU" as I was speaking to Marcus. When it came time to unload the truck, they wanted payment but had not provided an itemized invoice showing me what I was paying for because they stated that their tablet was not working. Two weeks prior to my move I requested a certificate of insurance that my condo requires before they can move my things. I followed up multiple times and they said they were "still working on it". They show up the day of moving with it only to find out they didn't provide the requisite information on it. I already booked a hotel for 2 nights because I EXPECTED my home would be empty. They couldn't adjust the COI that day and my flight was leaving in 48 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. The hotel cost me $450 for two nights and was non-refundable. I followed up consistently prior to their move to avoid this situation and was reassured they would provide it. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I would give zero stars if I could, for this location as well as the corporate Customer Care Department. I hired All My Sons Moving and Storage of Maryland to load a Pods container for a cross country move. When the Pod arrived at my new home in another state, I discovered that it had been loaded with complete negligence resulting in thousands of dollars of damages. I submitted my claim to All My Sons customer care and the claim was denied because it was loaded into a "third party container". While I understand the liability for damages caused in transit, the damages in my case were clearly caused by how the storage container was packed and loaded by All My Sons as pictured here and in my claim that was submitted. The men in the Customer Care department were condescending and unapologetic and informed me that I should have watched the entire loading process of my belongings if I wanted to ensure quality, which should never be the expectation when you hire a nationwide professional company. They also told me that there was "no way to know these things didn't happen in transit" and when I inquired about how exactly my washer/dryer as well as multiple fragile boxes could be stacked inappropriately "during transit" he told me "not to twist his words". When I asked for him to describe the quality expectations that the company has for their movers when completing a job such as mine, he held a long pause and stated "I wasn't there". They charged my mother in law over $5k to move her 2 bedroom with a garage apartment from the Best Buy area of Annapolis to downtown. She went to the new apartment to meet them. They called and said they were done and proceeded to the new place. They dropped an item damaging the new wood floor as well as broke several pieces of furniture. In addition when we went back to the old place to turn in the key we found they hadn't completed the job and left items in the garage as well as several more loads in the house. To charge that much and leave so much behind is unbelievable to me! We had to hire another crew to come and finish moving her. Additionally when we called to share our grievance they have failed to reach out and try to offer some sort of compensation for the issues. I won't argue with these people; I'll dispute it with the bank. The only good thing is that the workers were young guys. They worked hard and moved my things quickly. With no big furniture(Because I sold my furniture) and an hour and a half at each location, it should not have cost me $711, whereas two guys and a truck quoted me $500. Please use another company, folks!!! They will charge you for a fuel service charge, which is 18% of your total bill, and a one-hour flat rate on top of your actual labor time. I regret booking with this company. Your stuff will be broken, as mentioned by other reviewers. Find somewhere else. Do not get sucked in like I did with the 139 per hour that will not be your final bill. Trust it's not worth it. I have moved many times, and this company was by far the best! The guys called about half hour before arriving, at 8:45 AM. They checked out the apartment, determined what needed to be done, and got started right away. They never stopped working for the few hours that they were here. They were very careful and courteous, and certainly knew what they were doing. They came right on time to my new place and unloaded everything carefully and according to where I wanted the pieces. They took all the packing materials with them, and before leaving asked me if I wanted any furniture moved around. In short, these guys were fantastic!
