I made the mistake of contacting Hawx Pest Control for a new rodent problem, and my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When I called, the representative described a service that sounded comprehensive. I was told the initial visit would include a full home inspection, bait boxes for the rodent issue, and treatment for crickets and other common household pests. I was also specifically told that if I decided not to continue with the recurring service after the technician's visit, I would have a cancellation window and could opt out without issue. My appointment was scheduled for between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The technicians didn't arrive until approximately 2:30 p.m., and no one called or provided any updates about the delay. When they finally arrived, they appeared to have no knowledge that I had called about a rodent problem. They seemed prepared only to perform an exterior pest treatment. I had to explain that the entire reason I contacted Hawx was because I had mice. The technician then came inside and placed a few inexpensive sticky traps--without any bait--in random areas of my home. These were the same type of traps I could have purchased myself for about a dollar at a discount store. There was no inspection, no bait boxes, and no meaningful effort to address the issue I had called about. After this poor experience, I contacted Hawx's corporate office and spoke with Kaylan. She was initially very understanding and confirmed that I was still within the cancellation window. She encouraged me to give the company an opportunity to make things right by issuing credits and arranging for technicians to return and provide the services I had originally been promised. When she was unable to get in touch with the local office, she assured me that everything had been canceled and a refund would be received in 7-10 business days. Then, on July 14 at approximately 5:15 p.m., Kaylan called me back and said she had spoken with her supervisor, who informed her that she could not honor what she had previously promised. Instead, I was told I would have to pay a $199 cancellation fee. I was charged $199 without being able to speak with anyone further and original services were still not rendered. I have no problem with a company enforcing its contract when it actually delivers the services it promised. However, I did not receive the service I purchased. I contacted Hawx because I genuinely needed help with a rodent problem, and the technicians failed to provide the inspection and treatment I was promised. I spent hours waiting for a late appointment, received inadequate service, and then was charged a cancellation fee after being told my cancellation had already been processed. When I asked to speak with a manager because I was receiving different answers every time I called, I was told I could not be transferred to anyone else. I was informed there was nothing further they could do, the call was ended abruptly, and I was ultimately charged despite never receiving the proper service. My experience with Hawx Pest Control was frustrating, misleading, and a complete waste of my time and money. My advice: Do not use Hawx Pest Control. The services they promise over the phone were not the services I received, and my experience with both customer service and the cancellation process was unacceptable. If I could give the company zero stars I would! I have never received service this poor!!!! read more

I contracted with Haux in April 2026 and since then I have had two incidents with increased ants and when I contacted the office (not a local office - you are talking with an overseas team) with a concern that required follow-up, they cannot send out a team for over 2 weeks. This company is a scam. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. Communication was poor from start to finish. My appointment was rescheduled without explanation, and I received little to no notice. When I tried to get answers, I was repeatedly given the runaround. I was unable to reach a manager or supervisor despite multiple requests, and no one seemed willing or able to resolve the issue. Predatory company. Had a "kid" come to my door and try to sell me pest control, despite my no soliciting sign. I didn't answer the door for the first 10 minutes but he continued to knock, so I went outside to politely tell him to leave. Wouldn't take no for an answer, and even turned and got several steps away before he announced he was going into my backyard. When I told him I did not want him in my backyard, he seemed confused and wanted to know why! I mean, I don't want people I don't know in my back yard! Unfortunately there wasn't a zero rating because that's what they deserved. I hired Hawx to get rid of a fruit fly infestation. I signed up for the yearly package for $59/month and non refundable fee of $98 to come out. Not only did the pest control specialist not get rid of the fruit flies, he had no idea how to find the breeding source. He basically did nothing. Hawx sent out on two more occasions specialists that also did nothing . One specialist said he needed to do more research on fruit flies. I paid the $99 fee for them to come out but wanted to cancel the monthly service. Hawx then charged me against my credit card a $199 cancellation charge. I would never recommend Hawx Pest Control to anyone. Buyer beware! read more

Keon is an experienced tech. He addressed all the issues we were experiencing. I believe Hawx should send the same tech to perform services as they are familiar with home. Sending out techs who aren't familiar with the home is where problems can arise. Hopefully, Hawx will send Keon to permanently service our home. read more

Terrible experience with Hawx in Baltimore. I had initially signed up for service to address carpenter bees that where destroying my deck. Because we have a fenced in back yard I asked that a note be made for the technician to call us before arriving so they could be let back there. On the initial service we did not receive a call and the technician arrived when we were not home. After looking at the service report they provide it was evident that they had only treated around the front of the house, and did not treat for the carpenter bees. They also failed to leave the rodent bate which was a part of the service contract. It was difficult to arrange the warranty service and we were given a window from 8am to 8pm for the technician to arrive... after sometime on the phone they where able to offer us a narrower window of 8am-12pm. When the technician arrived for the warranty appointment they also failed to call, and where not able to access any of the areas in the back of the house. I saw the tech driving away and contacted Hawx immediately but was not able to get them to send the tech back. They stated they had rung the door bell and where already on their way to another call. I decided not to schedule another warranty service since I had already taken time off work to accommodate this one, and have no confidence a third appointment would go any differently. I am still being charged an early cancellation fee even though the service agreement was not fulfilled. No spraying or any other treatment was applied to the rear of my house. only the front. The customer service rep I called acknowledged this, but stated they would still charge me for early cancellation. I plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company since services agreed to in the contract where not provided. Avoid this company. read more

He did all 3 services one of which included the Mosquito treatment that was only done in the front half of the house due to poor communication on Hawks part about when they were coming out.
