We called them to donate a vehicle. The person answering the phone was very nice and answered all of our questions. A couple of days later, a tow truck picked up the car and gave us paperwork, saying we donated a vehicle with all of the car details on the paper. About a month later, we received paperwork indicating how much the car sold for at auction. This paperwork has all of the information required for filing taxes. Also, they scheduled the pick up of the vehicle within less than 24 hours of my initial contact with them. So very responsive. I was expecting a little more value in tax write-offs for the type of vehicle we donated (GMC Yukon 4WD). We only received a $600 write-off, which is significantly less than it's value. read more

2004 Nissan Frontier truck donation. I picked this organization because it was affiliated with Gary Sinise Foundation which gets very high ratings from charity evaluators. The truck needed 2 catalytic converters ($800) but that was not a deterrent for Vehicles for Veterans. I scheduled a date for pick up and they were on time, professional and friendly. Everything was done in less than a week. Got a notice that they sold the truck for $2500 even though it needed repairs. So happy this money will help our veterans. I would definitely use this organization again. read more

What an amazing and easy experience. I donated a 2005 Mazda Tribute that a failed power train control module. The cost to repair it was more than the vehicle was worth. Donated our F350. Truck ran and was drive-able, also needed a little work. Part of the reason we donated it was for the tax write off. We ended up with a $500 write off. What a joke. Could've gotten more then that for scrap metal. Would not donate to them again. Also, had to ask several times for a receipt. Overall, disappointed. read more
