*Jose Can You See* By the dawns early light... I feel soooo lucky and fortunate to had found Jose...because he saved me a small fortune. My buddy actually referred me to Jose, after asking if he knew anyone, because of all the sky-high outrageous quotes I had received from a few other repair shops. Can you say, extortion? What I thought was a simple repair, was a little more complex than I realized, until doing some research of my own. My interior door handle broke. The part cost 20 bucks. But no one and I mean no one, not even the dealership, wanted anything to do with the repair unless I replaced the entire door panel for $2000. I tried to work something out with a couple of the repair shops and asked if I can get the part myself and pay them for labor. Nope. One of the shops, Exotic Car Service, quoted me "$360 2 hrs minimum for labor just to assess the repair."Highway robbery. Low & behold, Jose to the rescue... He had zero issue with me obtaining the part myself for $20 from an auto parts shop on Amazon. Jose even made sure I was ordering the right part...then gave me the green light. $200 and 2.5 hrs later, voila'...the repair was completed and my door handle is like new. I can't say enough wonderful things about Jose. He's honest and genuine and truly cares about his costumers. And their cars. He starts work early and works late. His shop is open 6 days a week (closed Sundays) Had the pleasure of meeting Jose's charming wife, Patsy, You gotta love a husband & wife team who work together. My one complaint...he only does auto body repair and not much mechanical work. Great work, great service! Somebody hit my parked car as they attempted to park along side it, and I wanted to pay for the damage in cash instead of as an insurance claim. I got three estimates. Shop A wanted $4,262.53 and said I would need a rental car for two weeks. They said the door skin (outer door metal) was too badly damaged to be fixed and needed replacing. This would involve disassembling the door, pulling out the rear window behind the door (!) for some reason and doing a bunch of other stuff. Shop B wanted $4,330.76 for the same reason but said it would only take a week. Velasquez said the door skin could be repaired and repainted, it would take three days and only $1,600! They did exactly what they said they would do, on time and the car now looks great again! The other two places obviously do a lot of insurance work and that is clearly why our rates are so high! I strongly recommend Velasquez Auto Body...they even washed the car and touched up the black plastic bodywork too! Thank you! read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I drove into Velasquez Auto Body and discussed the repair of my Tesla. I had taken it over to another shop for an estimate, one that does the high end vehicles, but the price seemed too high. Since I was paying for this repair myself, I didn't like the big $$$$$ I was being quoted from the other body shop. I dealt with the owner, Jose and felt he quoted me a very fair price to repair the damage to the Tesla. I knew repairing a Tesla with multiple layers of paint on the car was not going to be cheap. What impressed me is that he worked over the weekend....Saturday and Sunday, (I could tell because our car kept telling us the doors and trunk were being opened and closed). He finished the car three days earlier than he promised us and the job was perfect. I'm only too happy to make this recommendation to a man and company who well deserves the recognition. My car had significant dents and deep scratches, I was visiting an adjacent business when I saw their building close by, on a whim I stopped for an estimate of the damage. Good decision. The owner Jose inspected the car and gave me a written proposal estimate and a time of completion. The price was more than fair, the quality of work as good as any I have experienced. My car was hit while parked by a distracted driver, and he did a real number on the rear side panel, a very difficult fix that involves pulling out the panel and mending it back into shape. Jose is the only person I saw about an impact on my car that looked at it and immediately had an idea as to what the repairs would be and how much they'd cost, and it was on par with an estimate that took forever from a bigger chain in the area. I took my wife's Classic VW convertible to Velasquez Auto Body back in September 2021 to have body work and paint done. It took an entire year and I was charged $6,200 for the WORST paint & body job I ever had. I believe the owners thought this was the first vehicle I've ever had painted. Do yourself a favor and stay away. The body and paint work was so bad that I've had file a lawsuit in small claims court to get my money back. Jose even threatened to call the police because I told him his work was HORRIBLE and that he was taking my money and not doing what he's been paid to do.. I couldn't be happier with either the work or service. Jose went well beyond what was expected. He coordinated work with the mechanic, stored the car for several weeks, came in on a Sunday for me to pick up and then worked with the shipping agent. Looking at the cars he is working on tells you he is a quality craftsman. But he is also very helpful and friendly. I could not be happier and could not recommend more highly. read more

I brought my 1957 Thunderbird in for a repair from a rear end accident. Quoted 7100 bucks to repair with a quoted 12 day completion. After 4 weeks I went to go see how it was going and not complete yet. Next week, next week. After 6 weeks came back and chromed bumper was cracking from poor chroming job. The trunk was hanging 1/2" over the body and the sides of the trunk were 3/8" higher than fender. They accepted the the job was unsatisfactory and said the would hit the insurance company up for another 1700 bucks so they can fix their mistakes. After 8 weeks of waiting and much frustration I came to pick up car and not much changed and now they demanded payment in cash before they would release car. Also added parts ie. Gaskets between fender and rear light housing which should have been a part of the quote. Dont even ask about the orange peel and thin paint even though it was supposed to be a stage 2 paint job which means it gets wet sanded and polished. STAY AWAY. I'm not even sure they have a paint booth because every time I went by they we painting out in the yard. STAY AWAY. I WILL BE SUEING THEM FOR OBVIOS REASONS read more
