Worst repair shop in the area. I've gone to this shop twice for service, and both times I have had a different shop repair the damage caused from shotty work. I got my back brakes and rotors done, and had to have them replaced within a year because they did not install the rotors with the correct sized screws. Their oil changes are cheap, because the oil they use is only a half a step away from water. I would rather pay more the first time and have a quality job done, than save a buck or two in the moment, just to have to pay full price somewhere else to fix the damage. read more

Cheap service, but only go there if you know exactly what you want done. If you need new parts, avoid at all costs. The parts they put on your car are untraceable, which is cheaper, but if it breaks down, the newer repair shops have no idea what they're working with. The other Velasquez closer to Lincoln Highway and Seventh Street is better! read more

Stay away from this place. They quoted me a price on installing two new motor mounts on my car. I agreed to have the work done. When I picked up the car the bill was $30.00 higher then what I had been quoted. When I questioned it, they said the mounts ended up costing them more than they thought. They would not honor their quoted price. They would not give me the car until I paid them the additional $30.00! When you can't trust a quoted price you need to stay away!!! Cavalier was making a sound while driving. This shop said it was a wheel bearing after hearing it for a minute. Replaced for $228. The mechanic said the car was better but the transmission might be going bad. The sound was exactly the same as I left the shop. Immediately took it to another shop and found it was the trans-axle, and never was the wheel bearing. I wasted my time and money on unnecessary repair. Bad shop, go to a reputable one. read more
