Chocolate chip muffin and butter croissant
    Rajandeep D.

We got up early to see the sunrise at the Red Rocks Park. We decided to stop by this cafe for our morning coffee as this was the only location open at the time. Glad to say we were pleased with our decision. This cute cafe has a gorgeous used bookstore within and a few antiques. For drinks, my friend tried the Matcha Latte with Pistachio Syrup while I decided to stick to my usual Cappuccino with whole milk. We also got Chocolate Chip Muffin and a Butter Croissant. Everything was delicious. My cappuccino was a bit stronger than my usual and actually helped me get through my sleepless day packed with back to back activities. As for the croissant, I love all croissants, but something about a light and crisp butter croissant always hits the spot for me. This was just that but I do which it was warmed up (I probably should've asked the barista).

Nice coffeehouse and used bookstore combo.

Two of my favorite things--coffee and books. This is a nice, little coffeehouse with a section of used books for sale. I perused through their selection while my order was being prepared. I found a couple of titles I was interested in and paid for them at the counter just before my order came up. Perfect timing. We ordered three of their coffee drinks and breakfast items to go. All of the food we ordered was good and the coffee wasn't bad but the ratio of espresso to milk was on the milky side. This is something we found at many of the coffeehouses we went to in Colorado, not just Bean Fosters. Staff was friendly. Tables available inside and out. Parking lot available, as it is located in a strip mall(esque) area.

Cute coffee shop that is also a cafe and used book store. Plants of parking available. The ice oat milk latte tasted pretty good. Great playlist for the calm bookstore ambiance (I don't recall hearing The Paper Kites anywhere else, but they played 2 songs for the 30 mins we were there).

Decently sized coffee/cafe/book store in south Golden. Plenty of parking, which is great. Coffee is good as well. +1 for playing the Paper Kites multiple times on their playlist; it's a great cafe pick. It's missing some of the sharp modern aesthetic of some other coffee spots but still doing it right.

Comfortable, cozy place to enjoy a coffee, look at used books, or even buy a couple, plus free Wi-Fi to enjoy. The place is busy and a popular spot in the mornings. Plenty of library style seating. Helpful staff. Food available as well, some from Bonfire Burritos, which is always a good option. Located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. The one downside is the price -- seemed high -- drip coffee costs over $4, even with a discount of bringing and using my own cup.

Super busy but luckily they have a big parking lot in a strip mall with free parking. What I ordered: Cortado It took about 15 mins for my drink. The espresso was bitter as heck. I think it's the only coffee shop in the area.

Great spot to work. WiFi works perfectly. The pound breads are very tasty and moist. The matcha latte was good and wasn't too sweet.

We just made it a few minutes before the end of happy hour and was able to give the Pork Green Chili Cheese Fries and the Fried Pickles a try. Amazing prices for their happy hour too! We had burgers, the salmon risotto and the steak sandwich. Everything was so tasty. If I had to absolutely nitpick, the fried pickle is the chip style that I love but it was way over seasoned. When the Latina in the group tells you it's too salty, that's telling you something. I tried the pickle on the burger and it was already brined salty, then if you bread that and fry it and then season it... it was unbelievably salty.... Overall the salmon was well cooked, the burgers juicy and the steak sandwich super tender. The bar decor was super pretty and the service amazing.... I would definitely be back and highly recommend to check out their happy hour!

They are also dog-friendly which is a fun feature, but we went on a busy day and there were a bunch of dogs inside and outside, which I have to wonder if so many animals are indoors does this become a food safety issue? I will say our server was very nice, but the food was sub par to say the least. The items we ordered were severely under seasoned. They were quite bland and lacked any depth of flavor. The items on the menu had average prices to them, so there was no sticker shock on that end but, when did restaraunts start charging extra for sides of ranch?! It's not enough to cover your restaraunt costs with the $25 burger I just ordered? This restaraunt is located in a touristy town, so I'm sure they get all the traffic they need, but as a local I will not be back!

They are consistently great, which is why you'll almost always find the place buzzing with energy. The location is fantastic--it's situated right next to Bear Creek, providing a cool, relaxing atmosphere that really captures the mountain vibe. As for the food, it's excellent across the board. The breakfast scrambles are a highlight, topped with fresh sauces and served with perfectly crispy hash brown medallions. Their smothered burritos are another must-try, loaded with melted cheese and served with fresh sides. Beyond the plate, the staff is always wonderful, making you feel welcome even when they are slammed. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a staple for a reason. Rating:

Blackbird is cutesy and inviting with brightly painted exterior (featuring butterflies and sunflowers), cozy and wooded interior, with one hell of a Creekside view. The layout inside is a little awkward - and entrance is right near the kitchen. However, we maneuvered to a table in the corner near the window - with a nice, sunny view and was greeted by a friendly face who gave us a rundown of the specials and allowed us ample time to peruse the menu. We decided to sip on Arnold palmers and split The Rachel - essentially a Turkey Ruben with a side of fries and sweet potato fries - because two types of fries is always the right choice! Within about 10 minutes, our food arrived, which was just what the doctor ordered. Splitting the meal was perfect, as the sandwich was huge. Mom's fries were delicious while my sweet potato fries were a little burnt, but still yummy. Service was friendly, welcoming and accommodating to our lunch date. Pricing is on point and reasonable for a cute mountain town. I'd easily return!

Once inside there is a first floor that has a few different food options as well as the pour your own beer options as well. In order to partake in the beer option, you need to get a card that you can tap to the machine and you pay per the ounce. They have other drinks beside beer on tap as well such as different types of cocktails. They have a great food selection. That includes many different varieties of food throughout the venue as well. The top floor also has a few additional beer options as well as food options. I decided to go with a barbecue option which I got a brisket sandwich which was really good as well as a side of fries and some of the barbecue sauce. I also got a beer on top from one of the local breweries. It was a chilly day out, but I still wanted to sit on the patio on the top deck, so we sat by a fireplace. They have a ton of different fireplaces, all throughout the top deck as well as the lower deck as well so sitting outside was an option for the time of the year that I was there which was March. Maybe in the dead of the winter they don't have this option but just keep that in mind. Anyways, I thought the view of the course brewery factory right across the way was really cool to see as well. The food was really good and I love getting beer by the ounce because if you don't like the beer, you can just get a different one and you don't have to make a whole glass pour every time you get one. I definitely would recommend the golden mill. It definitely seems like a place that a lot of locals hang out and there is a food or beverage option for everyone so even picky eaters would love this place. If you are in Golden, you have to visit!

This is a real toss up for me. We were with a visitor who had been there when in Golden for a…read moreconference and thought we would like the concept of a food hall and like the sort of food she had there in the past. I am familiar with food halls at home in Boulder that I like and frequent regularly. This was nothing like them in so many ways. It was obvious that this is lived locally but in a holiday it was so ham packed that it was unpleasant for a newcomer to negotiate. Yes, for beer lovers the concept of self serve from the many taps and pay by the ounce Baxter so many in stock is novel, but I don't drink beer or margaritas and I could not find a simple ice tea. There were sodas from a machine which also did not suit me either. The concept of the scan card seems good for the cafeteria atmosphere and the beer supply but the food places did take credit cards, where at least you see the receipt etc. you leave the card in a box when you leave and they charge the credit card you entered to get it. No real review apparently by the customer. Most of the food I saw in menus and the tables were not my style either, huge portions of mediocre looking food. My husband had trouble figuring it part of the ingredient in the biggest burrito I have ever seen. He could not pick it up fore the crema decorating the tortilla which was thicker than any I've ever seen. On the other hand, my food was fairly good though grease dripped out at every bite. It was a Gordita made with crisp little corn cakes and the al pastor filling was tasty. The others in the group all had large portions of unappealing to me food so I did not taste and far too. Big for a healthy lunch. While we were eating at compared communal tables , the restrooms across from them were propped open for the steady stream of users. But on a holiday weekend a prime lunch time when we arrived, it was the only option. The entry line to get the pay card was nearby and the line went up the stairs to the entry with at least 20 to get and register the card, many with children in tow. Our guest knew where to park so that was no problem jf you are willing to pay to park for a meal. We were, but would have lived a quality meal and not a madhouse. The only staff person I spoke with because her food was dessert and not peak season for ice cream was so friendly and helpful and mad a custom snack size of her New Zeland style treat. She saved the day for me. I will not return but others in our party might should the occasion arise and clearly the locals who are regulars keep them well supported. I will stick with my local more intimate and curated food hall kitchens.

We ordered cheese curds, which were actually cubes and that is the first time I've ever seen shaped curds. They were pretty good, as was the sausage and mac & cheese, though the cheese sauce was a little thin. My mom had the focaccia grilled cheese, which had awesome flavors in it, but the focaccia itself was super thick. If we could decrease the bread by like half I think this would be an awesome choice. I think the main reason I would go to the Eddy is to hang out on their patio, especially when they have live music. It's a good view of golden in the foothills and its probably a great sunset spot. They also have a lot of good nonalcoholic options which we really appreciated - including nonalcoholic wine, which you don't see very often .
