Ok coffee shop. Was pretty crowded on a Saturday morning. The place is spacious on the inside though. They had many drink options but most of them are sweet. The burritos are from some outside vendor so can't say much about them making food, but the egg and potato burrito was not good. Service was quick though and they have a punch card.

I had just ran the Revel Rockies Half Marathon in early June and was chilled, so I was craving a hot latte. After a quick Yelp search I drove to Hello Coffee. It was pretty busy for a Saturday morning, there was a buzz of groups visiting over coffee. The barista was friendly and answered my questions about their chai, which I ultimately chose. The wait was a little long, but again they were busy. The chai was warming and exactly what I needed after a chilly morning race. I wish it were a bit more spicy as I like a kick to my chai, but that's just my preference.

Cute coffee shop in Lakewood with a retro vibe. Large open area with lots of seating. They have a unique Latte menu and a good assortment of pastries, muffins and breakfast burritos. Good stuff!

I think this place was nice. I appreciated that they had a gluten free burrito option. It was good - maybe not *great* and I stopped eating it because I forgot to ask if it was also dairy free, but in a world where there often aren't hearty gluten free options, I really appreciated that. They have plenty of seating, really fast WiFi, and the people working there were very nice and answered lots of questions. They also moved through the line pretty quickly. They also have a ton of inventive coffee options. A lot of the options have a lot of sugar but a lot of people really like that and one could of course also order black coffee or less syrup etc. I would come back - it's not a place that I feel like, "OMG I need to come back to", but it met my needs and I was able to work there for a few hours so I appreciate that. The ambiance was also pretty cute.

Fun coffee shop, light, bright and eclectic decorating style. Comfortable seating and reasonable prices. I enjoyed a coffee drink called "thorn" made with rose and ghost pepper syrups. WOW was it yummy, sweet rose flavor with a slight kick of spice!

What a very nice group of young ladies running the shop. The coffee is excellent. It was easy to find. And they have brew decaf so I can make a half caf cup of coffee. I will return if I'm in the area

The baristas here are genuinely friendly and kind, and when I dropped my dragon drink all over my kitchen this summer, they made me another when I came back in with my cracked cup and sad face. They also, last year, swapped out a tumbler of mine that warped in the sun. If you're friendly and polite, you'll get that back from customer service people. Just a tip. Treat them like you'd like to be treated, and if someone doesn't say "you're welcome," don't take it personally. Cut them some slack. They're hourly workers exploited by a gigantic corporation, just like the majority of us. They're not paid enough to be your best friend. Just take your drink and go. If it's not exactly to your liking, they'll fix it, as I've seen myself on many occasions. Yeah, they can get a little backed up with mobile orders, but that's not their fault. Basically--they're doing their best, the company is to blame for short staffing, and you're buying coffee, not interviewing best friends. I am glad this is my neighborhood Starbucks. You are more likely to get a seat if you come earlier in the day before anyone wakes up. And the best sando to choose is the katsu one. Drinks are honestly up to you. Unfortunately, one thing has been consistent all four times I've visited: the baristas are really not friendly. Every time I've gone, it feels like I'm a bother as a customer. Like, I've been excited when they get new menu items and when I ask questions, they seem like it's a huge inconvenience to answer. They don't make any conversation and legitimately, everyone I say thank you to (after placing my order, when grabbing my matcha today), they don't say "You're welcome" or engage with me any further. Today when I went to take my matcha to go, I said "Thank you!" super cheerfully, and the barista just walked away without saying anything. It's really a bummer to feel like my mere existence bothers them when I'm paying $10 (inducing tip) for a matcha. Speaking of cost. I do not have any problem spending $10 on a delicious specialty drink. I have my favorite matcha spots around town and GLADLY pay $10 for a well-crafted drink, even when my friends or coworkers give me a hard time about spending that much. Here at Onto, the drinks are good. But I do think they're a bit overpriced. For example, two of my favorite drink spots that I regularly go to make their drinks with fresh, house made purées. You can really taste the difference. At Onto, many of the flavored drinks I've gotten, I watch them make it and they are just made with Monin syrups. To me, I'd rather pay $10 for a drink that has fresh puree versus one I can get the flavoring at any big box store. Food: The first time I visited with my husband, we were really excited about the sandos. He ordered the chicken katsu and I ordered the eggs salad. My egg salad was shockingly bland, but nothing was really wrong with it. Fine to eat, would just prefer more seasoning. But my husband's sandwich was just all tendon. To the point where you couldn't finish the sandwich because it was just chewy tendon throughout. That was the only time we've ordered food, so I can't speak to other items. But I likely won't be getting a sando again. All in all, Onto has a great menu with lots of variety and fun flavors. I've enjoyed their hojicha and their black sesame matcha. Unfortunately, it's just not going to be my go-to due to me feeling like I'm bothering them every time I go. But if you're looking for a good drink and don't give much weight to customer service, Onto is certainly worth a try.
