Absolutely disrespectful fraud, I called this restaurant over the phone to ask if they did Chicago style deep dish pizza (the viral kind), and he said yes and I asked him additional questions of what was on it, and he told me the toppings and after asking if I could switch the olives to pineapples, he got an attitude with me. I asked him for more details and then he abruptly just says that he's too busy and cannot offer details over the phone. If that's the case, why even have a phone number to begin with? Well after looking at the pictures on yelp, I see that he actually has a Hawaiian deep dish. However, I can also see that this fraudulent looking "deep dish" pizza is nothing more than just a glorified crusty pie that has low ratings anyway. What kind of fool opens his own restaurant and cannot even memorize his own bloody menu? Never gonna set foot in this disorganized mess. read more

I'm happily surprised about this gem of a restaurant. I spent most of chico passing this place when going to other restaurants but finally decided to go to this place check it out and honestly, pretty cool place. It felt uninviting at first seeing through the window is a pool table looks like a club or something lol but nah its chill I ordered a pizza called chicago's favorite, why? Because I noticed they had a deep dish option and I thought what better pizza to deep dish-afy than a chicago styled pizza? Overall, a really good pizza, savory, a pleasant aroma. A complaint tho, I was expecting a deep dish to be filled to the brim but it was just a medium pizza with the crusts pointing up. Also I wish the crust was more chewy Layout: I went in the morning and first thing you see is the giant pool table, hang out with friends to play pool, they got the sticks and balls on the wall Second thing I noticed, a tv playing a cartoon, throughout the morning, I realize they just play whatever, first a cartoon then a live action show Extra note: I couldnt finish the pizza so I brough it home and throughout the day, the aroma of the pizza wouldnt stop and I think that experience also inflated my view of this pizza, probably I asked for water, they didnt seem to have water cup and water dispenser so they gave me a bottled water and charged me, I asked it they had a water cup and they talked to each other for a bit, uncharged me and then left... so I took the bottled water for free and paid for pizza sounds like a good deal. Hee hee You can make any pizza flavor a deep dish, it just has to be medium or large size When the pizza came out, they offered ranch so I said sure, also offered parmesan, pepper flakes and a paper plate so yes kids, throughout the morning, I think the kids are related to the owners of the restaurant so maybe they're here often, playing with their marbles, you can hear the marbles being played with, I didnt mind As I looked up to the menu screen, the lady told me I could just grab a physical one, that was a lot better, I took pics of every page for yelp Also, what a beautiful menu, you can see it in the pics but I really like how attractive it is and how easy to navigate it is despite being creative with it's design Idk why there's 2 posts of the same velly pizza on yelp. It still has some heat to it so if you don't want any heat at all, ask for mild and no peppers at all. Really tasty chicken Tikka masala pizza! It was rich and full of flavor with a nice bit of spice as well. I want to try the butter chicken pizza next. I also tried samosas which were good and came with a delicious sauce that I believe was sort of a plum sauce? I lack the culinary education to know exactly what the sauce was, but it was wonderful. I also recommend the mango Lassi, the chicken sandwich, and the potato wedges. The owners are extremely friendly people. This spot has become my go-to place for fried chicken. I saw a notification from YELP that this place was getting great reviews. I love pizza. I love Indian food. Went in for lunch. Very friendly owners, very clean, prices are very reasonable. I couldn't decide between butter chicken pizza and tandoori chicken, so I got both. Each pizza is obviously made with care. The toppings are so evenly spread out you can tell that they take their time. It looks like they were going to use it for a photo for their menu. It looks perfect. Both pizzas were fantastic. I was cautious when she asked how hot I wanted them, "Mild, medium, or spicy". At some places "Mild" means "You won't go to the hospital" but medium and spicy mean, "You're on your own. Put the TP in the freezer." I went mild on one and medium on the other. Both were delicious and didn't overpower the flavors. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Not only was the deep dish pizza I ordered NOT deep dish by any standard, but it was also the worst pizza I've ever tasted. I don't mean it wasn't great, but I ate it anyway, more so that after a few bites, I had to stop eating it altogether. We ordered pepperoni and pineapple with traditional red sauce, and I was lucky to find a slice or two of either topping buried underneath a layer of terrible tasting cheese, with almost no sauce. Had some issues when picking up the food that just did not feel correct. Ordered a half Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Massala Pizza along with Tandoori Wings. The Butter Chicken Pizza was pretty good but the Chicken Tikka wasn't for us. The ginger was a bit off putting but if you like ginger maybe it's for you. The tandoori wing sauce was good but the wings seemed a bit underdone - threw them in the Air Fryer. The couple running it seemed nice at first but I'm not sure if I said something to upset them. My roommate called to place a pizza and wings using the coupons they show online. The man over the phone said the pizza would be 30 dollars. I go in and it's 45$ flat? I didn't think anything of it because I thought my roommate messed up but he confirmed after that the man said 30. Maybe it's because I wear dress clothes for work and he thought I was made of money but this seemed weird as that's $15 more than advertised/ stated. The man AT FIRST offered a whole order of Rice Pudding for FREE to try. However, before paying the wife then came out with a small sample size of Rice Pudding to try then and there. I tried it and I liked it but I tried to ask what was in it (Cardamom) as I really enjoy and eat Indian food often and I don't know if maybe they thought because I was trying figure it out that I didn't like it or something? Maybe they didn't like my initial reaction to not say I love it?But after that the man then changed his mind and said "Ahh ok it's fine" and took the free Rice Pudding back? I even said "Oh no, I liked it I wouldn't mind my roommate to try it too" and he just says "Yes." And smiles ??? Like what even was that for then? Was it pretend? Did he fake offering me something just to charge me and not give it to me? That's when he charged me $45 for the meal and didn't offer a receipt until I looked back as I walked out very confused. At that point I didn't even want the receipt because I knew something was. This made me really sad as I did want to try other items on the menu but if you're going to scam your customers like that for not saying "This is the best pudding ever" then maybe you shouldn't be a franchise owner. I'd have went back to try more items but after this experience I don't even want to go back. Other Indian restaurants in Chico have shown much better hospitality than them and haven't upcharged me because they "felt" like it. I'm 90% sure he charged me for the pudding and then didn't give it to me because he just said "Yes" to me like 4 times to get me to stop asking. I'm very disappointed by how I was treated and never even leave reviews but you do not do this to your customers who show nothing but interest and gratefulness in your food. Ordered the tandoori chicken pizza and it was fantastic. Pick up was quick and painless. The Indian couple who own it were very kind and friendly. The box weighed a ton! It was delicious and absolutely loaded with toppings, just the right amount of spice, and the crust wasn't soggy at all, even after the drive home. Great food and service, we'll definitely be back to try the wings and other Indian-inspired pizzas. It's been a few days since I've had this place and I've let my opinions marinate. Overall, id give a 3.8/5 but thats not an option so I gave a 4. I think other folks should definitely give this place a chance because they have some serious potential as a pizza place. The pizza was surprisingly pretty good, i just think the customer service could have used some work. My partner picked up our order and said the environment was clean and the couple running the store were friendly but the person on the phone that took my order made some slightly pushy suggestions based on what I was asking for, resulting in an upcharge on our order, which was a little dissapointing. I may go back in the future, still a little unsure. We only ordered one pizza, some wings, and 2 samosas, and we were told it would only take 20-25 minutes, unfortunately it ended up taking nearly an hour to get our food and my partner wasn't home until almost 9 PM that night. We got the impression the kitchen was not used often enough for everything to be fired up and ready to go, so they may have simply been surprised by our order. Also the paneer tikka and Butter Chicken pizza was really good except there were some pretty large chunks of ginger on the paneer half of the pizza I was not the biggest fan of. Otherwise I would totally order the pizza again. The crust was surprisingly really crispy and delicious, the cheese and sauce were great! The mango wings were pretty great, would have loved if they were just a bit crispier. Per the owner "dont order boneless, they taste awful" so I suppose im glad we didnt! LOL I would say overall I can tell this is a newer business that may not have a frequent client base yet so I totally understand the eagerness to gain clientele and leave impressions. If I could provide some feedback to the owner, I would say their customer service was great, we just felt a little cut off at times with some of the suggestions. Based on the feedback the cashier gave us, it left the impression that some of their ingredients may not be the highest quality, but that the kitchen was very sanitary and worked the best they could with the ingredients they had. This tells me that some of this may be chalked up to how functional their actual kitchen is. I always thoroughly appreciate someone that can make something delicious from scraps, and it seems like the couple running the place have a knack for that! We stopped here, from out of town, based on the good reviews. I think the reviews all came from employees or family members. The gentleman that helped us was very nice and the restaurant was clean. This is a newer restaurant. The pizza is middle of the road, not great and not terrible. My father in law thought it was very good and my wife thought it was better than she expected, but still just OK. The wings were not fried, I don't think they were even baked. They could have been microwaved for all I know. My aunt ordered the spring rolls and they were fried so long, the insides were mush. The sofa was from cool bottles. There is no ice. We ate in. First of all the environment is so welcoming definitely a family owned environment they let us pick our own booth and helped us accommodate the children we came with. The prices were great considering the location and the amount of food we got. Everything was absolutely amazing we got the family chicken meal with biscuits chicken fries and a side of masala fries.
