Months go by with no communication from the business and then finally you reach out and find out the bike is ready... so you go to pick up that bike and they ask for more money??? No... that's fraud. They even removed the freight charge (out of the kindness of their hearts) but in reality that charge was already paid for in the first full payment. Once the bike was paid for (months ago) YOU were in debt to us.... If anything we should be charging you interest for the wait... you don't get to charge us extra because of "inflation" during the months wait. Find a different bike shop. This one is a scam! Downtube is no exception. I've been here before, when shopping for bikes, and ended up buying elsewhere due to cost. In retrospect, I wish that I had purchased a nice Trek from here. The extra price would have been worth it compared to the aggravation I've faced buying a cheap bike. I've had to replace my tires, tubes, and tweak my derailer and make other adjustments within the first month of buying my bike. On this visit we left without shoes, but the service was great, as always. Looking forward to getting my next bike from here.

Wanted money for the parts they could not get to work. The owner said they could fix my bike, could not, put it on the back burner - didn't call me once (took a month) then wanted to charge me. I have had a few bike fits in the past and they left me with a feeling of uncertainty about who to trust. After all I spend between 15-18 hours a week training on my bike these days. So to be able to meet with Geoff, and sense his ability to read my body while on the bike without all these crazy gismo machines telling me I should be at whatever angle based on this mathematical equation....needless to say It was refreshing and exactly what I knew I needed. He listened to my goals, and my history about injuries and surgeries. Took all that into account, and was able to get me lower on the bike by lowering my bar height. Geoff taught me how to ride more aero, to reduce wasted energy and reduce wear and tear on my body. I came back for a second fitting a few months later to put on new aero handlebars, and have new cleats put together by the only guy I now trust to adjust my bike. With the help from Geoff, I just recently qualified for the USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship! If you are serious about racing, or just want to feel better on long rides - GO SEE GEOFF. He's the man!!

Fortunately, while stopping in Albany, they found this family ran ski shop that helped him out. Not only did they decide to help, they went far beyond the level of customer service he had ever experienced. They didn't just help him find boots that fit, they also made sure the boots would work with his skis. When it turned out they didn't, they pushed all their appointments aside to make sure everything worked so he would not have to wait any longer and could continue his road trip, and so he would not have to deal with it at the resort and pay extra fees. High Adventure Ski Shop, we thank you for saving my boyfriend's ski trip. I know he was slightly panicking, and Ryan, thank you for doing everything you did to make it work.
