They are honest people just trying to make a living by providing outstanding service- especially to older clients. They are gentle, respectful, and kind. She called them "Malaysian" and said they spoke rudely to her. Did not happen. She needs to go into their shop and explain what happened- not talk to them on the phone as they do not always understand our language.

I requested a straight style with a bit of volume at the bottom. She didn't quite follow through with that. Then, when she went to shampoo my hair, it was mediocre at best. Once we made it back to the chair, she asked me again how I wanted my hair styled, which I found odd since we had just discussed it. But I reminded her. From there, the experience went downhill. The stylist made several unnecessary comments about my curly and silver hair, even asking if I was on medication that affected my hair, which was completely inappropriate. She also overloaded my hair with hairspray to the point that the smell was overwhelming when I got into my car. To top it all off, when I reached out to the owner, Lisa, to express my concerns, she was dismissive and unprofessional, showing no regard for my experience. I paid $115 for a blow-dry that simply wasn't done well, and I felt pressured into a haircut I didn't want. In short, I wouldn't recommend this salon if you're looking for a professional and respectful experience.

I have been without a hairdresser for almost after moving away from my last stylist of 8+yrs, I just couldn't decide on one. Finally I'd had enough of my hair so I put in "top rated hairdresser's in Vancouver" and up popped Shadi, my hairdresser genie! I looked through her reviews and pictures and decided to take the plunge. She was able to get me in the next day, and was SO sweet, answering ALL my questions and putting my fears to rest. Due to my old hairdresser using a product that is harder to cover/go over, Shadi explained we probably couldn't get it as light as I was used to on the first application, but she WOULD get it there. Her space was very clean and she was so sweet and accommodating the whole time. I left there VERY pleased with the color and the knowledge that it would get where I wanted it but be healthier also. It already feels so much better. I would suggest ANYONE to go see Shadi, you won't be disappointed with her skills, nor having to possibly spend hours at the salon as she's very sweet!
