Then we were told to complete the last project would require a change with a small increase in price to use some 4 x 4 instead of some 2 x 4 lumber.The work was completed on the second day by the employee and was satisfactory. The problem is when we received an $800 increase in the final bill. When we questioned why the final bill was increased by such a large amount, the owner did not give a reasonable explanation that we felt was acceptable . We were so pleased with how hard he worked & how thorough he was and how reasonable his pricing was, that we hired him for some landscaping as well. He designed a fantastic tiered garden, using some existing stones from a collapsed retaining wall, and adding layers of stone pavers.
