Toe Nail Fungus

I've been to this salon several times because of its convenient location, but unfortunately, I've consistently had issues with nail fungus after each visit--on both my hands and feet. It took me a while to trace the cause, but after careful observation, I'm confident it's coming from this establishment. On two separate occasions, I had fully regrown healthy nails after previous infections, taking months to do so without using any nail polish. Each time, after finally healing, I returned for a manicure and pedicure--and shortly after, the fungus came back. Most recently, my entire big toenail nearly detached, which was not only painful but incredibly upsetting. The photo I've included shows the condition after a two month regrowth process. Despite how close this salon is to my home, I can no longer continue going there knowing this pattern keeps repeating. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and reviews its sanitation practices to prevent this from happening to others.

I went in for my valentines set with a specific design in mind and the guy I had was extremely rude the whole time. He told me the last person who did my nails "did a half ass job". When I showed the designed I wanted he asked me if I was sure when Valentine's Day just comes and goes and I will still have hearts on my nails and if I wanted the design someone else will have to do it, insinuating that he didn't want to do it. When all I wanted was a simple heart design. His overall attitude was very unprofessional.

Overall felt like polish and filing job could be cleaner

Had my first ever VNS mani-pedi today and would call the experience mixed. Not bad -- my nails certainly look better now than when I walked in! Just not amazing. Pros: -staff in general very friendly and accommodating, my manicurist included -wide color selection -great massages -- both hand (during manicure) and legs/feet (pedicure) were more vigorous and relaxing than usual for the basic mani-pedi Cons: -Covid safety: Not sure whether there was a rule or not but many staff and clients alike not wearing masks (thankfully my manicurist did). Amid the current Omicron wave, this seemed less than ideal. -Atmosphere: The music can get a little loud/clubby, and as someone scheduled at the end of the day, my whole appt felt like it was racing against the clock (tons of cleaning going on around us which I understand but...maybe sweeping didn't need to happen right on top of my manicurist as she was setting up for the pedicure?) -Consistency: The technicians seem to be a real mix of pros who have returning clientele and newer ones who less than spot on...my mani-pedi is a bit of a Monet -- looks great from afar but up close, there's a lot of unevenness (polish, filing -- see pictures).

I needed a last minute appointment for a French manicure. They made the reservation for me over the phone and were extremely accommodating. I checked in and they asked me to pick a color but I only needed white and pink coats on my nails. Meanwhile I got some coffee. I was asked if I wanted water as well. Their hospitality and service were great. The salon is nice and clean. Ann was the nail technician who worked her magic in the perfect precise way of shaping my nails. I wanted them more square shaped, which she accomplished without cutting them. I was beyond happy with my manicure. I was low on time and did not get a pedicure but they have many types of pedicures with hot stone or paraffin treatment etc. But I plan to get it next time. This location is within the Delray Marketplace. ~

Nam is seriously the best. I'm someone who's very particular about my nails and there wasn't one flaw with them! Very reasonably priced and I'm now obsessed!! 1000% recommend

First of all, Duke did my manicure and pedicure and he was GREAT. However, I asked for two hearts on my nails and the woman trying to do it absolutely didn't know what shape a heart is. She literally tried it 3 times. After me showing her the correct way to draw a heart. The polish is all over my finger, it's lumpy, and the color does not match my manicure which they told me it would. Eventually I gave up and fixed it myself and when I asked for a refund or credit of the $10 (!!!!?) for the design they refused. They offered to redo it but I couldn't sit for another half hour while they figured out how to do a basic shape.

Unfortunately, my pedicure experience was very disappointing. I was at the salon for over two hours, had the pedicure first, followed by the gel manicure, and was sent home. When I later looked at my toes, the polish was clearly not fully dry and completely smudged (see photo). These were supposed to be my wedding toenails. I returned to the salon this evening, as I am flying out today for my wedding, to request a voucher for a polish change when I return after the wedding. I explained that I could not have it fixed immediately because flying, socks, and closed shoes would ruin the polish again. The manager refused, stating I had to come back within one week for it to be fixed--despite the issue being caused by being sent home with wet polish. I return three days after their one-week policy, and there was no flexibility or customer service offered. I was told the best they could do was $5 off a future pedicure, which completely missed the point. I'm now forced to pay twice--once for this ruined pedicure and again in New York before my wedding. I regularly spend over $100 per manicure and pedicure and tip generously, and I was very surprised by the lack of professionalism and resolution. While the technicians were excellent, the management's handling of this situation was extremely disappointing. I truly wish this had been handled differently.

Right after I received the cancellation my mother asked if i wanted to join her for a pedicure while home so my toes were saved! My mom recently started coming to Ultimate Nails and said she really liked the services and the super friendly nail technicians. We were greeted with big smiles and I was shown an extensive menu of pedicure options. I went with the most expensive options because my feet needed as much care as possible after a brutal Chicago winter. At $75 it was definitely more than I spend on pedicures back home, but I was really happy with the results and can see why my mother is such a fan of Ultimate Nails. My toes looked pretty in flip flops for vacation and will feel good hidden in my boots for the rest of winter now that I"m back home.

Pedicure chair was comfortable with plenty of space for my purse and phone. I was offered a bottle of water, which was greatly appreciated. I had the Signature Spa Pedicure-priced at $43. I have had much better pedicures elsewhere, but overall I am satisfied with the end result. I don't know what Lee's background is, but it appears to me that he could use some more training. He is rough! I tried to communicate with him, but he didn't listen and he couldn't comprehend what I wanted/needed. There was a bit of a language barrier and after three attempts to communicate with him, I gave up. My experience was beyond frustrating and not at all enjoyable. The end result is I left with a decent pedicure. Yes, it was uncomfortable and not at all relaxing, but my feet look and feel good. The bottom line is I had a much needed pedicure, and Lee did an okay job. If I give them another chance, I will request a different nail technician. This nail spa is fairly new, and they are in a good location. A few stores down is the recently opened (second location) of Bagels With Deli and Sicilian Oven. Drive thru DD in the parking lot and Joseph's Market on the West side of the plaza. FYI- there is a $1.75 surcharge to pay with a credit/debit card.

After all this spa is in the Delray Marketplace! While there I found it odd that during the entire 90 minutes I was back in the nail area, I was the only nail client. Pretty strange on a weekend day! My mani/pedi came out nice and the Vietnamese girl who did it was very sweet and I liked that they line their tubs with huge plastic bags. The girl at the front desk was not at all pleasant. I think when you sit in front of the door and are the first person a client sees upon entering, you should verbally welcome the client, make eye contact and SMILE, rather than scowl. Then when it's the client's time to go back for their service, I believe this same person should escort the client, especially if the client has never been there before and doesn't know their way around. Common sense, no? I guess laziness won out! At checkout, she wasn't any better. Now it makes sense why they didn't have any clients! Next time I'll try well- rated spa where they value their clients. Oh well, at least my nails look good! They lost 3 stars for the bad customer service and I'm generously leaving 2 stars because my nails came out nice.

I came in without an appointment and was told there were no openings until 3:30. I then asked if they could just remove my liquid gel, and I was told yes. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The technician removing my gel nails cut my fingers twice during the process. Not once did he apologize. Instead, he simply pulled my hand forward and continued as if nothing happened, which was uncomfortable and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the front desk experience was shockingly unprofessional. The person working the desk was more focused on discussing her SATs and not getting into FGCU than on the customers in front of her- customers who were paying and clearly having a poor experience. Overall, this was careless, unprofessional, and honestly awful. New management or not, basic customer service and safety were clearly lacking. Check out the photo of my nails after "service" was rendered. They were left beaten up, sore, and in worse condition than when I arrived. Do not recommend.
