I have been here three times, the first time it was a good experience though they tried to upgrade my services multiple times I did cat eye and parafin for my feet it lasted me a long time but cost me more than $200. Then the second time I learned about the upgrades and kept it simple, and was fine with it, lasted three weeks, I was happy. This third was awful the nails chipped just after one week they left it blotchy thick and not the cost for a $60 manicure the technician left my hands in the UV lights over 60 seconds and overall I have been disappointed. I paid top dollar to come here expecting a gel mani that would last over two weeks and now got something that looked worse than what I would have done for a very high price. read more

I have been here a few times for both nails and toes. They are located really close to my house in the Hamlin area. I really like this location as everything feels and looks very clean and crisp. I have never had to make an appointment but they are available if you want. I have always just walked in and have been helped right away. They are your standard nail salon, offering manicures, dips, powders, acrylic, pedicures, gels and such. They also offer waxing. I really like their set up and they have little "pods" with about 6 pedicure chairs in each section. They have really pretty curtains, so it feels more private. They do a really great job separating people so you have your own little space. Their chairs are massage chairs which just add to the experience. Their manicure chairs are also very comfortable and relaxing. Sometimes they offer you water, sometimes they don't. I have had different people every single time, and I have always had a great experience. I have had both male and female and no matter what, they take their time, they are precise, they ensure you are happy and satisfied. I usually get the dip nails as the gels do not last on me at all. The dip last a very long time and makes your nails look beautiful. I would recommend the dip. Last time, they color I wanted was out, but she was able to make the color by using two different colors, which I thought was a very nice touch. My only complaint is that the do not list their prices and they are kind of pricey. But this is a luxury so I don't mind indulging on myself sometimes. I do wish their prices were listed so you had an idea of your total. I also wish they were more consistent with the water. read more

The salon is beautiful, clean, and well decorated, but I left feeling that the service didn't match the premium prices. My manicure and pedicure felt rushed, I was repeatedly encouraged to upgrade services, and I believe I was charged for gel on my toes even though I specifically requested regular polish. I also wasn't given an itemized receipt, which made it difficult to verify the charges. By the end, I felt uncomfortable and pressured about tipping. When I wasn't able to, I noticed a very off putting glare from the technician who was upset about not receiving her tip although she had overcharged me TWICE. I felt robbed blind. I am not obligated to tip and if I do it's based on the service I received. She should've been grateful I didn't call out or ask questions about her giving me gel although I didn't ask for it. she didn't accept my answer when I asked for BASIC pedicure. She took advantage of the fact that she thought I was busy on my phone and not paying attention. I have had better and more precise acrylic sets at other locations. The lady who worked on my hands didn't even let me wash the dust off my hands before applying cuticle oil which was a mess. Not allowing me to view or dispute the charges felt like shady business practice. Unprofessional customer service from people a staff who prejudges their customers who might not be from the area. The entitlement was felt. Overall, I spent much more than I expected and didn't feel the quality justified the cost. Unfortunately, I WON'T be returning. read more

I've gotten pedicures done here before and have always really enjoyed the service, but I just got my nails done for the first time this weekend and have mixed feelings. I went in with a request that they had never heard of (aura nails) and the tech managed to make her own version and I do enjoy the design. However 2 of my Gel-X nails are not bonded properly (the 2 photos attached) and I can feel that 2 others are too tight, ie too small. So while she killed the design, was willing to try a new technique, and I've enjoy past experiences, I have to rate them a 3 due to the poor nail bonding/sizing. Gel-X can be expensive so if I'm getting them done I'd want to make sure they are done right. read more

Worst experience I've ever had in 25+ years of getting my nails done. I'm on my way to get an entire new pedicure, merchant won't refund money. I filed a dispute with the card company and was able to get my money back but it was a waste of my very little free time and so disappointing that in such a small community someone thinks they can take advantage of people with bad service. Clearly, by seeing the rest of the reviews, they're only monopolizing on being the only walk in nail salon because other people have had equally terrible experiences there. 2.5 stars This place is big and has lots of seatings. I went with my family here to get our nails done. There were so many workers and it was a bustling place. Also note that the colors they have to show might not be how it looks like on their polish, their excuse was that the one they show you is a couple years old so the color faded. Okay... maybe have the colors current cause I had to pick several colors till I ended up with the one I liked. My nail technician didn't speak English very well, but she got the job done. I got a pedi (with scrub) and gel mani and it came out to $73 + tip. Pricer than I thought it would be. A huge negative about this place is how pushy they are with trying to upsell their pedi or manicures. They did that to both of my family members even though they said no. Please chill out! Many people want to get their nails done and relax, not to be invasive with trying to spend a whole lot more than what they wanted. My family also had her cuticles cut so much it hurt her even though she mentioned it to her nail tech, the tech continued anyway. Also, her nails were done poorly had nails that weren't covered by the polish. I think place is a hit or miss. I was fortunate to get a decent nail tech, but it's a shot in the dark whether you get a decent person or not. read more

My first time in the shop. Beautiful facility, but lacks integrity. I ask a pedicure and the lady cut my heel. Did not offer a bandage. Just spray it with alcohol. The lady name is (Julie), which I believe the manager maybe made up technician name. I was willing to look past it if she told the manager. Instead I ask the manager and she was unaware, and the lady says she did not see that. Language barrier aside, empathy and integrity is just as much a part of service. Shop with this risk in mind. I started going here for pedicures. The workers are very competent and offer upgrades without being pushy. I personally, don't like to chat while having a pedi cure as I like my peace and quiet time and they are always respectful of that. The pedicure chairs are nice and comfy and the whole salon is bright and clean. They have a wide selection of nail colors. I have been coming to this place for a little over a year and although my experience has never been amazing, it's been good enough that it kept me coming back. I usually request for the technician to assist me with my ingrowns, I usually never have any issues and I leave a little extra tip if they do a good job. The person that attended me today seemed frustrated and proceeded to attempt to relieve my ingrown toenail, it was extremely painful (if it's pretty bad there is usually a little pain but the tech usually apologizes and tries to alleviate said pain). This person was so rough and didn't take any nail out of the ingrown. Then proceeded to cut a chunk of my skin off and put it in the towel and said that was a piece of nail that was in the ingrown and that's why it was so painful. I literally saw him cut my skin and not my nail, I couldn't believe he would try to lie to my face like that. I was bleeding profusely so I said I wasn't comfortable continuing and that I was in a lot of pain. I had to tell him he needed to apologize and all the manager did was apologize. I didn't listen to the reviews and decided to go check it out for myself . I was assigned to Ashley and boy!!!!!! I came out of there with a huge smile on my face. Ashley did such a wonderful job on my hands. I get dip and they looked amazing ! She was super fast too which I love because I'm not a fan of sitting around . My nails lasted a whole month. She also did my pedicure and they came out great ! The only thing is that I guess due to the area I did pay a little more than I did in another Venetian mail location I use to go in Broward county. I had the shortest massage, person was rude, got testy he couldn't find my color, just sent me to the dry station - never been here before & had no clue where it was. Because I don't get a "special" higher priced pedicure, I got lousy service. So many seats empty and he wanted me to sit in one with a ripped backrest. My sister and I came in for a mani pedi, we walked in the same time another lady did and by the end of our mani pedi, we walked to the dry station the same time as the lady we walked in with and she only had a pedicure done. So our whole process for a $53(before tip) mani and pedi was 40 minutes?!?!? What? And on top of that I asked my nail tech Emma to make sure my nails are the same length and she gave me attitude, really? Take a look at the pics, nails are not even and their not even straight! Polish job was terrible too! Update: I got this service on Friday and now its Monday. Guess what, surprise surprise, my polish started chipping on Saturday. Came to Venetian Nail Spa after found it on a Google search. Not many mail salons are open on Sundays but this one happened to be. The nail spa is very well maintained and makes you feel like you are at Caesar's hotel. It was very clean and I was very happy with how my dip nails turned out. I didn't give a 5 stars because the service was truly just my nails. I didn't get a hand massage or post service lotioning of my hands. I also had a ton of residue left under my nails and on my fingers that the tech didn't clean out for me (see pictures). Don't waste your time and money on this place. The first time I went I got a gel pedicure and it last 8 weeks. I went again on May 8 for a mani and pedi. ( 2 days before my birthday). it hasn't even been a week and it's growing out. I called up today and tried to explained what happened and was told by the woman who answered the phone that it's not her fault my nails grow quickly. I told her that was not the case and she proceeded to scream at me. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager. She claimed she was the manager and owner. I find it hard to believe. A co worker and I went after work to get a pedicure. Our service was rushed despite the lack of clients that were there on a Tuesday at 4pm. They didn't put my feet in the water until after the shaping and digging. The hot towels were luke warm at best. Then we were rushed to the drying area. When we went to pay, workers were handing us their phones. We went from nobody really caring we were there to about 4 people at the desk at the same time. Extremely disappointed in this place. I recently moved to the area and was looking to pamper myself with a good dip manicure. Upon walking into the salon I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. However, my nail technician was awful, I believe his name was Lei . My cuticles weren't pushed back (it had been 6 weeks since my last dip manicure), some of my nails are uneven, there was excess powder around them after washing, finishing gel under some of my nails and on top of my thumb (that I had to get rid of myself), and I did not receive moisturizer for my hands. The dip manicure lasted maybe 25 minutes tops. Now I've been getting my nails done for years and have never had a dip manicure go so quickly. My ombré dip manicure cost $60, which I would have happily paid if my experience had been great and my nails didn't turn out so bad. read more

This is my go to nail place in Hamlin and well in general since this is the closest place to me. It opened sometime last year and the place still looks brand new and very well kept. To make your mind at ease, they've taken the extra precautions to keep not only their staff safe but you as well. I've gone here 4 times already and just for pedicures and each visit has been really relaxing and my pedicures come out amazing! Xixi is my go to and she's the best! Extremely hit or miss. Either the best nails I've ever had - (done by Cherry) lasted weeks and received compliments every day- or the worst manicure I've ever seen (done by Payk and the last few people I've been to over the past few months.) Today was the worst experience I've had. To start off with, I requested coffin nails and left with round. Secondly, the polish isn't anywhere near the color that I picked out. Picked out a salmon pink and got brick red. To summarize: nails are uneven, polish left on the skin, glue still crusted underneath nail bed, file marks left from hasty work, barely glued on tips. I went back in and asked if they could cover the nails that had splotches of the nail still exposed and the nail tech put a clear coat on top. After that he inspected the nails just to see that it looked the same, then said that his clear coat was bad. ?????? then don't use it? Extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Decided to get my nails done as reward for a promotion at work but I'm embarrassed to be seen with the nails had done today. read more
