Worst $40 + tip spent. I got their exotic pedicure and very unsatisfied. They don't offer you any refreshments. And she barely massaged my legs. She punched them a few times that's it. Then I didn't see her open a new pack of tools. And instead of putting the toe separators she used a paper towel that wasn't even separating all toes and still managed to get polish on my toes. And she rushed me to pay that my toes weren't dry and smudged. I don't recommend for $40 pedicure should at least get hot wax or suds in the water and a 5min massage. Charlotte Friends, Please Read I'm deeply disappointed and hurt by the experience my daughter had today at Venice Nail Salon in Charlotte, NC. What was supposed to be a simple self-care visit turned into a traumatic encounter. The manager, Anna, was incredibly rude and disrespectful toward my daughter. Rather than resolving the matter with professionalism and basic human decency, she escalated the situation to the point of calling the police--over something that should've been handled with a conversation and courtesy. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially in a place meant to provide relaxation and service. We support businesses that respect and value their clients--not tear them down or intimidate them. I'm sharing this to raise awareness and to protect others from going through the same experience. I HIGHLY recommend Venice Nails near Ikea at University in Charlotte. The salon is clean and the employees are friendly, professional, highly skilled, and and efficient. Phong, my pedicurist, does an excellent job and gives great attention to detail. Her sister, a supervisor, works with employees and clients to address needs and keep things running smoothly. While visiting the area I decided to check out this nail salon. My boyfriend wanted a spa pedi and I got a spa pedi and acrylic nails done. I wish I remember the names of our nail techs (if you notice I am not great with names) but all 3 of our techs were amazing. The young lady who did my nails had to correct the botched job the last tech did. I am in love with how my nails turned out. The ladies that did our pedi were great! They had us laughing and making jokes the whole time. The location was not hard to find, there was plenty of parking and Inside the salon was clean and vary pretty. I really like their check in system. Your nail tech name is attached to the last service you got so they know who was helping you if you want to go back to them or not. They have a rewards program as well. When you spend $100 u get $5 off your next service. When I am back in that area I will definitely be making a visit to this salon again. read more

My daughter has been complaining about pain since her trip to Venice Nails two weeks ago. We have visited this place several times, but I've recently become concerned about the sanitation and the care taken with their tools. It's difficult to tell if they are using the same tools on different clients without properly cleaning them. I really dislike that. I have been nicked during cuticle trimming twice, and I've had to ask the technician not to pull so much skin away from my nails because it causes me pain for days afterward. Recently, my daughter's toe has become swollen and is producing pus. The pain was present right after the visit, bit the side effects keep intensifying. She thought she could self-treat the issue, but I had to tell her, "No ma'am, you cannot overlook this." We don't know if the tools were contaminated with other bodily fluids, which is really concerning. She has said she will never go back, but my main worry is the infection that developed after the technician tried to remove an ingrown toenail. Her condition has progressed from soreness to swelling, and now there's pus in the area. This is a serious issue, and I hate that we are dealing with it. Sanitation should never be compromised for fast service or the desire to increase production. read more

I've been going here for 5 years. The last 2 pedicures were not good. The first was by a woman who was new and dint know what she was doing. Thursday was the worst. The lady cut my toenails so short they very and are swollen. By the time she cut them it was too late. I couldn't say "glue them back on" Went on Saturday and spoke to the manager who refused to give me a refund. They said they would call me back but did not. This place is amazing and could have easily been a 5 star but my the customer service that I received from the tech that did my pedicure was subpar. My niece is a regular at this particular nail shop. Appointment was made prior to the visit. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a gentleman who checked us in and allowed us to pick out our gel polish colors and then we waited for a minute so that we can sit together. The first tech that I had was very nice and I told her that I like the water warm and she was super accommodating. Unfortunately, she went to do someone's nails and a different tech came up to do my pedicure. She was nice, but she wasn't bubbly. She was: flat, quiet, and rushy. She didn't introduce herself. I purchased the Volcano package pedicure with hot wax and gel polish. My tech did a good job but my experience could have gone better. My surprise when she was done, she told me that it was busy and I needed to get up because they needed my chair. I looked at her and I got up. I waited for my nieces to get done. When one of them was done she came and sat with me and we still waited as my other niece was finishing up. This was a total of 10 minutes and no one ever came to sit at the same chair where I was receiving service. I didn't realize that I was going to be spoiled because one of my nieces paid for my pedicure! I was standing at the front to wait to pay and my tech came up to me and said your friend paid for and then she walked off quickly. My recommendation would be to make an appointment before you come because it was packed with incoming customers. I would definitely return to this nail shop nail shop- it seems very clean. The decor is top of the line and they have real plants throughout the nail shop. I would have tipped but I couldn't get past her rushing me out of the chair. The best tech in their name is Phong. First experience here. Was brought for my birthday and will never return nor recommend. My $50 sns nails ended up being $80 by the end of the visit. $10 take off (which they make you do yourself) then $10 fee because my natural nails were "long". Then another $10 for french tip. In the 20 years I have had my nails done, I have never had them done this sloppy. Upon washing my nails before she put on finishing product, I noticed my right hand (4/5 nails) all looked like they had shavings stuck into the sns. It was a clear gel and light purple tip. I asked her what that was on my nails and also showed her the french tip part was very sloppy and showed my natural nail bed underneath. She had the nerve to tell me that "it was my nail". I explained that my nails are clean and this was not my nail. She stood there and didn't say anything. I went to my friend to show her and a manager noticed and asked what was wrong and I explained. The nail tech was asked to redo 3 of them. She shaved off the top layers until the marks were gone, but did not add any purple back. Every nail was also BUBBLY. They took $10 off for inconvenience. This service took two hours. Please let me know if this is an $80 service... oh and without a manicure also. $80 yall. I'm just sick. read more

I guess they've started using cheaper polish or the nail tech's skills were poor but it's 1 week later and the polish is all chipped. Went here today and the woman who started my nails was the worst. I went for a removal of my acrylics and placement of gel on my natural nails since they had grown out to a decent length. The goal was simple: gel green french tips on my natural nails for the holidays. The First Lady asked me if I wanted sns after I already told her gel and I said no. Then asked if I wanted my nails cut and I said "no not at all since I want to preserve my natural long nails" She then proceeded to cut the tips of my extensions off and ended up clipping off a portion of my actual pinky nail! THEN she started to try to POP OFF my nail and when I questioned why she wasn't soaking my nails to not damage them then she tried to argue with me!?!! Then she gave me to another girl because she couldn't be bothered to soak my nail because it would take too long. When I looked at my nails and told the girl the lady cut my nail, like I told her NOT to, she said that I would have to talk to the other lady because that is her boss. This girl was going to start my nails without even asking what we were doing to them and I had to tell her to hold up. I told her I wanted them almond shaped and she said (with an attitude) that shaping was $5 which to that I said was fine. When I told her that I wanted a French tip she stated (once again with attitude) that it was $15 to which I once again said was fine. She ended up listening to what I wanted and was helpful to try and do my nails the way I wanted. (even if she got upset that I told her my nails looked lopsided because they were) but even then she tried to fix it. My two stars go only to the girl who did her best to help me after she could tell I was upset with her boss. She even helped to match the exact color that I wanted and at the end was nice. My nails ended up looking nice though some are a bit off but I never expected perfection. Staff is rude and will tell you what they are and aren't going to do with your nails when you're the patron. They call themselves a business but can't take accountability for their nail technicians work or products cracking as you can in the reviews other clients have had the same issues with their Dip "SNS" Powder. They don't want to do nail repairs and question why your nails are breaking when they're using cheap products that can't sustain anything! I work from home there is NO reason my nails should have been breaking like this 3 nail repairs in less than 7 days????????? The manager refused to repair my nail, refund my money or soak off the terrible chipping nails I had. The manager also was listening in on my conversation that I was having through my personal headphones and decided she was going to refuse services that's fine but guess what I will ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else!!!! Let's not forget to mention the nail tech that did my nails was tipped several dollars so the lack of professionalism from this business is beyond me. The lady that did my nails was good. The Owner on the other hand was so racist, it was obvious. Too many clients to take on at one time. Prices were higher than the "Menu" pricing. I recently moved to the university area, and I ran across Venice Nail Salon. I tried it out for the first time, and it was very clean inside and the staff was nice. You do have to wear a mask, but they have plenty in the store. I got a pedicure with french tips. I got a full set with a design on all fingers that was done by Cindy and she did amazing! I've been coming to Venice nails consistently for the past few years. Unfortunately, I won't be a customer any longer... The service I've received has always been inconsistent. I get an acrylic overlay with gel polish on my nails every time and a pedicure with gel polish. Sometimes my nails turn out pretty good, and sometimes they are awful. For my most recent visit, I got a fill-in with gel polish and a very simple design. The owner removed my gel polish and asked how I wanted my nails. I showed her a picture and asked repeatedly if they could do this simple design. She stated they could. After she removed my polish, she sent me over to a male nail tech. I had never seen him before so I assume he is fairly new. Long story short, my nails came out HORRIBLE. He did not shape my nails well, filed my nails crooked, made a horrible attempt at the nail design I asked for, and my gel polish is very uneven and lumpy. Why send me to a nail tech that cannot do the design I already asked for?! To top it off, they have added so many fees to the services. So I haven't had my nails done in just under a year so after being promoted at work I decided that this was the perfect way to celebrate! I was a little confused when I walked in. Mind you, I look like I'm 16 when I wear my glasses. So walking in I wasn't greeted by anyone. I asked a guy who looked to be the one running things if I should sign in, of course he said yes. As I signed in he gave me a number and told me where to go to look for my gel color. I absolutely loved the check-in process. It's done on an iPad using your phone number. It was my first time so I signed up for their rewards program. There was not designated waiting area (bc of the a million stations) but I didn't mind. They have a great selection of colors and design options. I decided to go with a mauve color with a marble accent. Everything turned out great! It did take Kim (my nail tech) nearly two hours but her Time is GREATLY appreciated. Bc I am LOVING my nails The staff there was friendly and you can even get complimentary drinks. Of course me being myself got the white wine. I wish it was offered to my while waiting bc I was constantly checking to make sure nothing flew in my glass as I was getting them done. I asked for French tip with my $35 pedicure she said it would be $60 I asked was the French tip $25 she said no with no clarification on how I went from $35 to $60 so I said just do white please she then tells me "ok $55" and so Im still confused is French tip only $5? So I tell her just do the pedicure and she catches an attitude and says "okay then it's done" but she didn't file or clean up my nails or add any lotion to my feet . Once we get to the register she says $35 oh no $7 to take off gel so $42. Now this definitely doesn't make sense to me the take off is usually $5 if they charge and most don't. A odd number like $7 doesn't add up and on top of that was white gel $13? So making all these prices up on top of your head then no completing my service is UNACCEPTABLE! I did not get my nails done here, but I did come with a friend and she did. I watched while they filed her nails down (because that's all she needed on that particular day). They were very fast and accommodating as we stopped in on a lunch break. They literally got us in and out with ease. They were all very nice. The prices were decent, and actually I was surprised how inexpensive a cut down was. We were done so quickly, that we actually had time to eat lunch and get back to work.
