I called and specifically asked for Kathy. The person who answered said she was Kathy, so I booked a 2:15 p.m. appointment. I arrived at 2:05, only to be told that Kathy doesn't even work there anymore. That left me very confused as to why someone would pretend to be her just to book the appointment. The employee then asked if I would let her do my nails instead. I agreed, and she told me it would only be about a 20-minute wait. However, I ended up sitting there until 2:55 without being seen. I finally told her I had to leave because I had a doctor's appointment in Charlotte at 4:00 p.m. and I live in Gastonia, so I needed time to get there. At that point, she said, "I'm ready for you now," but by then it was too late. I had booked an appointment for a reason, and my time wasn't respected. The lack of honesty about Kathy and the long wait despite having an appointment made for a very disappointing experience. She didn't even offer me a discount so I give a neg start I would. I would NOT!!! recommend coming here. I almost walked right back out the door when entering because there was no one sitting at the front desk and the desk was covered in paperwork and trash at the floor. In hindsight, I definitely should have walked out. I chose this place because my normal nail spot was closed and this was close by and I didn't want it to take forever- instead, just a pedicure ended up being a hour and twenty minute ordeal. A lady stood off of a couch and greeted me when I walked in, I asked for a manicure and pedicure. I ended up only staying for the pedicure. Overall, the entire experience was unprofessional and kind of gross. Constantly, she'd wipe her nose on the back of her hand without sanitizing or using a tissue, she wasn't wearing gloves and used her acrylic fingernails to scrape around/ under my toenail instead of using a tool, and I watched her touch trash (I think chewed gum) off of the floor and throw it away without washing her hands before working on my pedicure again. The entire time I was worrying about if things were properly sanitized or if I'd get some kind of infection or fungus or something. The pedicure itself wasn't great either, she just kind of picked at the skin and in the photos you can see dead skin around the nail, as well as some staining because when painting my nail she made a mess of the polish on my toes. She had me hold my leg and foot up at a really weird and uncomfortable position while exfoliating and while that's okay for me, it might not be for someone else. At the end when I was checking out, a different lady asked me how my service was and I just kind of nodded, I would have said something but I was not really in the headspace to do so. At that point I just wanted to pay and leave, so I did. I'm not sure if the woman who gave me a pedicure was new or something, but it felt like it was her first time giving a pedicure & painting someone's nails... anyway I do not recommend this place. read more

So I've never been here before, and the place is close to me. I decided to try it because of that. Only one of the workers spoke English (they spoke Spanish) which was fine, that didn't bother me. Katherine prepped my nails very well and overall did an excellent job. However, I did get gel x but no design and it costed $91!! To me that is very pricey since I didn't get any designs and only one color. I'm not sure if that's normal for gel x but I probably won't be coming here again due to that reason. There also is no price list anywhere for this salon to my knowledge. The vibe is pretty calm though and both ladies were fairly nice. Within 2 days my nails were breaking and chipping on almost every nail. I tried to have them make it right only to be told she would only repair 2 nails. They should have made it right by fixing all of my nails and I then would have returned for future business but they chose to be shady and lost in the long run. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and they were kind enough to take me as a walk in for a pedicure. I was immediately greeted by the manager and she was very kind. The pedicure bowls are super comfy and the water stayed hot the entire time. My nail tech did not speak any English whatsoever and completely messed up what I originally asked for. I had tips on, and wanted my nails to just be natural (but shorter than the original tips I had on). She begins to cut down my nails to my bare skin, thinking I wanted tips again. My hands were soaked way too long in acetone. Took 45 minutes for them to remove my polish. Now my hands are peeling to death. My hands are always super healthy, I never get dead skin or anything. Also the ombré is not great and it was a $15 extra charge for ombré. I feel bad because the girl who did my nails was nice, but the job just isn't good.
