CCI has various health care related options, all fast tracked and have both day and evening options so you can still continue to work while attending school (granted that there are enough enrollees to facilitate both options) They have caring and knowledgeable staff who are experts in their fields, and give honest insight into the field that you selected to pursue. They have externships to actual facilities where you get real world exposure and training. You get out of this what you put in, so by no means are the programs easy, but you learn a lot. There are also financial aid options available to those who qualify. Most fields of study can be completed in less than 18months. I finished the Vocational Nursing program which was about 14months of actual school, and already am receiving job offers from several sites. If you're unsure, just stop by the campus and ask for Micheal Boyd. Take a campus tour, ask as much as you can before committing.

We also went through several instructors during the course. Although I passed my final exam, the school promised they would arrange an external clinical site so I could complete my required hours. Unfortunately, all of the available sites were already contracted with other schools, leaving me unable to finish my hours in time to take my state exam. Overall, it was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience, especially considering the amount of money I invested.

The teachers are very knowledgable and work with the students. They have great programs! The food provided to students is great, healthy and appellate. The school is small and the classes are small which really helps our youth. They have a great school bus transportation system. Students are checked in the morning upon arrival, they cannot have electronics but since music is a lot of the ways students cope the school loans them an iPod with music to use throughout the day.

There is no way I'd have gotten this job without the knowledge of the two excellent instructors in the class, Scott and Dennis, who have a wealth of experience when it comes to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Revitt. My favorite aspect of the school is that you're treated like an adult. I'm in my mid-30's and haven't attended classes of any sort since my early 20's as I'm not a fan of the 'typical' classroom environment. Here you're treated respectfully and with and understanding that there are other things going on in your life while you're attending class practically full time(M-F, 8-4). It's a professional environment without feeling stuffy. I've been in the work force for 15+ years and the school is a nice proxy for what a working environment might feel like. Another great aspect of this school is that they want you to get a job and will fall over themselves to help you get there. I think I interview very well and have good resume making skills, but the experts at the school who help you when you're in the final stretch with these things were immensely helpful in making me feel prepared for the interviews I went to. I've heard other graduates say the same. All the staff here are very supportive and if you're looking for a fresh start and a new career, I really can't recommend VACE enough. it was a life changing positive experience for me and I'm sure it will be for you too.

The resources provided in her program (medical assisting) we're not sound pedagogically, not androgogically. It is a very self paced program with little scaffolding. I could not get ahold 9f the placement person to ask about internships and job placement. There were very few students in the building during the two weeks of her trial. Did theyattend 8n the morning or did few come? The website is not very descriptive and cites 100% placement rate. That seems unlikely, tho I suppose possible. It does cost much less to attend this program than other local for-profit medical assisting programs, but I think you need to be a much more sophisticated learner than most high school grads without work or life experience. ((I find it truly abhorrent to charge as much as these programs do to enter a relatively low-paying occupation. There is a two week trial period, which is good. Unfortunately, when it looked like my mentee was going to struggle with the pace of the program, they just wrote her off and told her not to return until they contacted her and have not done so for over two months since then. To be fair, I'm going by her side of things ,but I have no reason to believe she misrepresented her experience with me. I was very disappointed for her.

We have been attending Citrus Glen since my middle child was in TK. What I have found is a school that has very dedicated, loving teachers. A school that has a principal who communicates and does in fact solve problems. Pretty sure my son's experience with bullying last year, and the fact that both the teacher and the principal responded to my concern the same day and followed up numerous times would be ample evidence that the principal does follow through. In fact, she followed up with me at the start of THIS school year to make sure nothing was amiss. As to the claims of racism in the front office. It should be noted that the front office is staffed with a diverse group of ladies. A group of ladies who work with a very, very diverse student population. I can only imagine that when they offered a wide variety of income and address verification options that they did so because they were suggestions that have helped solve a problem in the past and not because they were making "racist" assumptions. As to the comments regarding PTA. I totally understand PTA is not for everyone. But my question would be...does this person personally know the PTA parents? Have they had a conversation? Have they come to meetings? Asked questions? Do they realize that every single parent involved with PTA is a volunteer. A volunteer attempting to make the school a better place? Do they not like the 3....yes 3... field trips their student takes each year? Do they not like art? Music? School equipment? Because all of those things are facilitated through PTA support. Please, show me how any PTA parent is using the PTA for their own personal benefit. Because, as someone involved with PTA....I only see parents trying to better the school. If you don't agree with it, have a suggestion, or would like to see something change, please....have a conversation. Sound harsh? Perhaps, but putting down hard working volunteers (PTA or otherwise) really sets me off. This all said, my children attended a school that severely lacked a sense of community, school pride and cooperative principal leadership. This district has terrible accountability for supplies and never replaces much needed equipment blaming it in the "budget@ and not their inept accounting. This caused teachers or parents to pay for those much needed supplies. It's a shame, a district with great teachers that has had many students go off to great 4-year universities, those teachers have to work under poor management where they and the students end up suffering in the long run!!!!
