Unfortunately friendliness and people skills don't seem to be prerequisites for staff, so that aspect of the organization has been sort of a hit and miss for years. However another (more recent) negative move is the organization's decision to become political by changing it's mission statement - jumping on board the pandering train. This was clearly unnecessary, as the original mission statement was perfect. And to be fair, the first sentence of the new mission statement would have been fine all by itself. But apparently someone with an agenda to push has been successful in at least partially derailing the trajectory of the organization. I hope they fix that.

There is a discount if you are a Girl Scout member and the food and drinks are priced very reasonably. My only recommendation would be to offer more food options in the lodge in case families want to have a casual dinner there (i.e. pizza, sandwiches, salad). Tip: Wear western boots to avoid getting pebbles in your shoes. Bring a flashlight or where lit clothing so you can see in the dark.

But I saw some really unique dining sets, which I WOULD buy if I lived in a much larger space! They have stricter standards for furniture they'll take, so prices are higher but still super affordable. It's laid out bit like showroom warehouse. The back corner has all the 'contractor' type items for building, painting, and adding smaller finishes. I would return to see if any smaller items pop up, and maybe some of the artwork up in the front of store.

As far as the bathroom I can't speak on that because they have bathrooms in the office I volunteer at. Research your facts before posting such ignorant reviews. If I ever need help in Ventura County I will go to Project and will always refer people to this organization before anywhere else and the reason for that is solely because of the CEO and COO. They COO, Jan H and the CEO B. Beasley are never there and pay themselves good but aren't they supposed to be helping the homeless. Jan H . Is toxic and creates a toxic and hostile work environment for the poor employees there.While volunteering there I observed a "policy " be implemented by Jan H. that won't allow the homeless clients to use the restroom while there receiving services because she also uses that bathroom. The poor case workers can't even let their clients go pee with out fear of some sort of retaliation or reprimand for a inhumane and prejudiced policy.
