O.M.G. Bowls,…read morekitchen utensils, pots, pans... everything you could want. First of @ll, my girlfriend is an excellent cook -- trained by chefs throughout the U.S. as a result of her former boyfriend who went from restaurant to restaurant worldwide to help them improve their menus, food selection, methods of preparing and cooking the food and its presentation. She is an excellent cook, always taking cooking classes, watching videos, television cooking shows, etc, etc. If there's a kitchen utensil and/or machine, device, or gadget, she knows about it. We'd spent over an hour in the store -- but, unfortunately, whatever purchase we made would have to be carried back to Arizona in our airline luggage, or shipped home. As we were visiting someone, we were limited in time. As she went from table to table selecting things she couldn't live without, I was close by and made note about what she wanted or thought was very attractive. Having broken one of five of her favorite set of bowls, I was trying to redeem myself in replacing the full set. These bowls were among those she used for everyday use, so she really needed just four bowls. She couldn't make up her mind about which she wanted. I got the attention of one of the staff, who collected the set I thought was most attractive, and asked that they be hidden from sight so that I could surprise her, having the bowls shipped to us in Arizona. I told the staff that they needed to be carefully packed to avoid being cracked or broken by the gorillas that load USPS, UPS, and FedUp trucks... so the bowls were set right in front of the cash register where she saw them while paying for her gadgets she couldn't live without. No harm done. Hope she forgets about them by the time we return to Arizona. Earlier, I went to their pastry counter and tried to make up my mind what to get our group of four for breakfast or a snack. I couldn't make up my mind so I bought eight of three variety of scones, which traveled with us to western Washington. This is a great place for anyone who enjoys cooking -- or having beautiful things for their home, including every sort of dish, vase, pot, bowl, pitcher... you get the idea. There are multiple varieties of every item imaginable, something for everyone. Prices are what they are. Quality costs, especially when it comes to cookware and cutlery. Yanno? The prices, I believe, are reasonable, having purchased a few items for her recently. The staff are amazing, from the own to the smart young man who took my purchases and helped me get them to Arizona. Oh, by way: the scones were excellent. We're coming back in August and September. With a list.

I used to love this place. We had a group that met every Saturday for many years. We brought in…read morebusiness and were respectful. We shopped there and enjoyed our time together. Then a new owner came in. She told us that everything would be great. We were excited. Once there, felt sort of unwelcome but kept going anyway. We all sat at this little copper table with chairs and they brought us food and coffee. It was the norm and we were happy to have a circle table where we could all chat. We had a new lady join that week and she was told by the new owner that she doesn't want us at that table and to pass it on. It was to be for wine drinkers only. Well, why serve us there the whole time only to tell one person, not even the organizer about it. Owner sent a man over to us and we talked to him about it and we all brought up ideas and talked back and forth and thought it was ok at the end. The following week, a new gal came and didn't feel well. She asked the owner to tell the group she had come and that she wasn't feeling well. The owner asked who the group was and she started badmouthing us to the new girl! Another woman showed up and the new gal told her what happened and they both left. The group now meets elsewhere, but it is a shame that you treated a local group after the owner moves here from Spokane and wants to fit in, like garbage after meeting there for YEARS! Not only that, this establishment now closes early and doesn't stay open for farmers markets or anything local going on. It really is a sad deal that someone can come in and ruin a business that someone else worked so hard to build.

The stone selected was exquisite! There was a minor mishap and we were extremely happy at the quick response and customer service this business offers. We would highly recommend working with Tim and using Living Stone for quality, prices and keeping customer satisfaction at the center of attention. You will find uniquely beautiful stone to make your project look the way you imagined.

6-15-20 My wife and…read moreI installed granite and quartz in two bathrooms and a bar area. The work included 21 feet of countertops, ten feet of bartop, an eight-foot tub deck with 12 feet of front and side panels, 29 feet of backsplash, 10 feet of shower curb, cutouts for four under-mount sinks and one under-mount tub, and one very difficult three-way mitered corner. There were 33 feet of mitered edges that needed to be joined and finished. Throughout our remodel, we have learned that we are very particular and have very high standards for workmanship. I am pleased to say that Living Stone paid close attention to our concerns, and actually exceeded our expectations by the time the job was complete. We emailed Living Stone our drawings and specifications and they responded with a professional and detailed estimate within two days. During our first visit to their showroom, Jena reviewed our estimate with us and patiently answered our questions about pricing and also the display pieces. Jena was extremely informative and helpful and the atmosphere was always very friendly and relaxed. Jena introduced us to Tim, the general manager, who over the next five weeks was very thorough and helpful and proved to be an excellent communicator. We always received information or updated estimates for revised work within 24 hours of requesting it. Tim introduced us to Nathan, the lead fabricator. Nathan has over 20 years of experience and was more than willing to answer our technical questions about the fabrication process and national fabrication standards. Nathan and Tim gave us a tour of the fabrication shop, and Nathan demonstrated how the measuring, cutting, and polishing equipment worked. As we toured the shop, Nathan and Tim continued to answer our questions on how we could achieve top quality with all of our work. Living Stone was not the cheapest of the four estimates we received, but their service, responsiveness, interest in our project, and showroom displays convinced us to pay the extra money. We provided a down payment and the job measurement process was completed two days later. Our installation was scheduled for five weeks later and it was completed on the day scheduled, June 15th. I am extremely pleased to say the fabrication and installation work exceeded our very high expectations. The two installers, Felix and Ryan, accomplished perfect work, and I mean perfect. The mitered edges look like they are solid quartz, and you cannot see that they are not a solid piece unless you are trained to see the joint (and use a magnifying glass). Every installed piece in the three rooms is perfectly straight, level, and square. One of the pre-fabricated pieces needed a slight adjustment and Felix and Ryan flawlessly handled the adjustment with their saw. Felix and Ryan arrived on time, worked continuously for nine hours except for a short lunch break, and patiently answered our questions. They set up their cutting station away from the house where the dust would not stick to anything and also left each work area perfectly clean. Felix and Ryan could not have been more professional. This review would not be complete without discussing James, the outstanding measurer and template creator. James spent most of a day with his expensive equipment taking very precise measurements. The proof is in the end result because the fabrication was superb. Thanks to James's precision, everything was the exact right size and all pieces fit together perfectly (with the one minor exception previously mentioned). The reveals and overhangs are all perfectly straight, aligned, and evenly spaced. James also spent 2-3 hours on the job today, working with Felix and Ryan to ensure the best possible outcome. The perfect installation work also would not have been possible without the skill of Nathan and his fabrication crew. The cuts are very precise and the edge shaping and polishing are absolutely beautiful. Most jobs have an unexpected challenge or two that pop up, and ours was no exception. The underside of our tub deck needed very precise routing to be accomplished to accommodate our two bathtub water valves and faucet. Nathan handled this expertly and as a result, our hardware interface is outstanding. We are very thankful to have such skilled professionals such as Nathan, Nathan's staff, Felix, Ryan, and James work on our home. Tim, as the general manager, made it all happen with Jena's very able assistance. The work we saw in the showroom was the main reason we selected Living Stone to do our job. We believe the work in our house is even better than their showroom. If anyone would like to see their work, contact Tim or Jena at Living Stone and we will gladly welcome you to our home to view the work in person. James Davey
