I went today to exchange some Michael Aram gifts. I'm not a big fan of Mom and Pops houseware gift stores, but I left this place amazed and happy. Customer service was above and beyond. I came back to this store 2 times on the same day within 3 hours (lol) because I couldn't make my mind up! However, the sales people greeted me with smiles and asked how they could help, again I apologized for coming back but the reassured me that it's all good! They said they wanted me to be happy. Women dressed in their best outfits are prancing around shopping for brand named products for their next event. Apart from the only man that was there (a baldy dressed in red) who seems miserable to be working there the women are quite helpful and courteous. Dear Venus Gifts Owners, It was my first time at your store and it would be my last time. I came to exchange a gift, the ladies working there told me the buyer paid $125 for the item and a gentleman that I approached few minutes later purposely asking how much was paid for the item told me $205 and once I pick an item I would get 20% off of it. I was really surprised on the different amount given by different individuals at the store because the difference on pricing was huge. After I selected the items I wanted and approached the counter the ladies refused to give 20% off and came up with so many excuses in order for me to pay the difference. I straight up told them that I do not want to pay extra and I thought they were going to honor the additional 20% but they said no and were very firm. Unfortunately I still ended up paying extra for the items I got because they didn't honor what they promised. I didn't want to argue and promised myself to never come back to this store because of this attitude and bad customer service. Also, ladies, when the customer is shopping, please ask them if they need help and leave them alone. Don't stand there and watch them as if we are going to steal the whole store, if people need help, they will approach and ask for help. Very disappointed in the entire experience at this store. At the end of the day I didn't get what I really wanted, just got a random item and left because I didn't want to be there anymore. Technically whatever I got I will not use, waste of money and time. I rather shop at department stores and support them because their customer service rocks. What a waste, so disappointed. read more

I was yelled at by an older woman who was prioritizing her clients that came in wearing head to toe Chanel (explains why she was prioritizing them). It's sad that business owners differentiate their clients based on appearances. Now, I don't know if she's the owner or not but I hope she's aware that I've been a customer for many years. I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of gifts from Jonathan Adler, Michael Aram, Christmas decor, etc. Never again will I step foot inside of this gift shop. I don't know if she thought she looked cool in front of her "priority" clients by yelling at me but it was utterly disrespectful. HORRIBLE customer service!! If I seriously could give no stars, I would. My mother in law bought a bunch of gifts for me from this store right before christmas and was told that she could exchange them all if I didn't like them. I went in today to exchange 2 of the items she bought me and the attitude I received from them was just disgusting. They were refusing to exchange the items for me even though it seemed like they knew they said she could. After back and forth and me refusing to leave the store, they finally agreed to it. The employees here seriously need to get better training when it comes to customer service. I will never step foot inside this store and if I had known the lack of professionalism they have, I wouldn't have let my mother in law shop from them in the first place. read more
