He was not rushed, very calm with a good sense of humor. He got me a great deal and was flexible with delivery time. Almost 10 years later and I'm finally back! An even better experience this time with Scott helping us even though we didn't arrive until 5:45pm ... 15 minutes to closing, he was patient, answered our questions and gave advice. No pressure or rush here at all. He was even great with our silly 6 year old. We ended up purchasing a couch, loveseat, and a rug for about $1200. After moving here I was basically starting over. I didn't have a stick of furniture to my name and unless I wanted to sleep on an air mattress forever it was time to take some hard to swallow pills and shell out for some big boy furnishings. My friend had been in a similar situation when she first got to the LA area and suggested CORT because that's where she got her start. They're a pretty big chain and they resell stuff used in model homes/corporate offices. BUT the ones in LA are slightly better because not only do they furnish the above but they also do it for film/tv shoots so the furniture isn't even actually used. So, I had already bought a bed but needed a couch, desk, maybe a nice office chair, hallway valet, and a bedroom set. I got two out of three things plus another bed and frame (for the guest room, DM me if you're interested in staying over; but seriously, don't) and a mirror. The selection for the other items wasn't very large, the showroom is fairly large but not for the amount of stuff they put in. You definitely have to hunt for things that suit you and have a good price, sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not. The couch was great, I'm a medium tall drink of water so it was important for me to have a couch that I'm fully able to lie down on, no feet dangling and I managed to find one that fit the bill. My desk turned out to be a dining table but I liked it and gave me plenty of space. I wasn't thinking about a bed but they had a few there and after lying on one I figured might as well since I'm at it and got a memory foam in Queen with frame. I've already had guests over who've said it's very comfortable. They threw in a mirror-had to charge me a dollar but basically free, and they came to deliver and assemble in a few days. The only negative is that on any particular day they might not have something you're look for, or worse something you love already has a 'sold' tag on it-I tried to talk them into it, no dice. read more

Was recommended by a friend to try out CORT for more affordable furniture. i definitely can see that the furniture here is in great condition at the fraction of the cost of other furniture retailers. however, and i guess this is to be expected - the variety is really low. maybe its the type of place you have to constantly visit to see whats new. on our first, and probably only visit, there were only 2 sectional couches on the floor and not much in regards to other things we needed such as vanities, dining tables, etc. probably a place i'd check out casually if i didn't urgently need furniture but not a one stop shop. read more

Right off the 134 Freeway in Glendale off Central with EASY PARKING. They definitely need a bigger store. I knew this immediately since I was on the hunt for a very specific item and I wanted to buy several things even if I didn't need them or necessarily have the room. That's when you know it's a good store. Given that I've been to several other stores recently and most chairs such as the ones I was looking for are going for well over a $1000, I was so happy to walk in and see a pair of chairs that could potential work and reduced from $1299 more than %50. I made my way around the store quickly. They could definitely use a bigger store because they have a lot of stuff that grabs your eye. I even asked if there was any more of the store. Disappointed. I saw MANY GREAT DEALS. 14 DAY WARRANTY. Full refund or store credit on USED furniture but only %50 on new stuff. Has to do with the new stuff returned now being used. We went here initially just to look, but ended up buying 2 couches, 2 coffee tables, 1 matching couch and love seat, 1 office chair, 4 stacking chairs, and 2 televisions. We had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Mark, whom helped us through the whole process and made arrangements for delivery through Mini Movers. The showroom is well organized and clean, so you feel comfortable looking around without any pressure from the sales team. However, they're there to answer any questions about the furniture and construction. They have both new and used furniture to select from in the showroom, with new furniture arriving daily. So if you see something you like, you better buy it right then. The most impressive thing I heard was from Mark, he said, "we're like family, so feel free to ask me anything." We cracked jokes while seamlessly talked business. He's also incredibly honest.
