I tried out this nail salon today in the hopes of finding my go to in Lubbock. I went for just a basic pedicure and a dip-powder acrylic nail set. The pedicure was well worth the reasonable $35 (this is as low as the price goes for pedicures for their menu, FYI). I chose the lavender scrub and the owner, Kim - who did the pedicure, was very meticulous and sweet...easily my favorite nail person I've ever had. Then, to the not so good. I have very small hands and nails so I understand it takes a lot more effort to do them. I was taken care of by a male worker in the salon who I never got the name of. In summary, my nails were done precisely the way I chose and all that jazz. BUT I had at least 4 fingers that could not stop bleeding from my cuticles being cut so deep. One finger was actually oozing blood as the nail technician repeatedly apologized as he tried to stop the bleeding with pressure and nail glue (btw: wtf???). It just so happened around this time it began to become super busy. Instead of perhaps giving me a discount or checking on my hands, he just apologized and moved to the next guest as I grudingly paid and left. So why did I still give it such a high rating? The owner, Kim, is absolutely amazing. I ended up requesting a full refund from how sensitive, scratchy, and swollen my fingers that were cut had become. It's nothing crazy and I know every tool they used was clean, but I wasn't willing to pay $40 for that kind of fingernail work. Kim recognized this and was actually going to reach out to me after the rush had passed to come back in. She gave me a full refund and was so sweet/apologetic. I've had some terrible nail experiences where nail technicians pretended to not even know me. Kim was so kind, sweet, and genuinely apologetic. All and all, the experience was about 60/40. The pedicure was fantastic by Kim. The ambience was clean. Decent nail selection plus a free refreshment. My dip-nails are looking better now that the swelling has gone down and the technician actually did some decent work besides the 'Cuticle Crisis'. Honestly, in all businesses mistakes are made. It happens. I just so happened to be the person it happened to. But what matters is how the mistake is dealt with and Kim really blew me away with her kindness. I am willing to give this place another try and I think anyone in the area should too! Plus I haven't seen one bad review up until my visit. Thank you again Kim and see you soon! read more

I wasn't greeted when I walked in which was automatically a red flag! I was just needing to get my toes done this day and went to the closet place available which unfortunately this one . I've never had a bad experience at any nail place and I'm able to have conversations with the tech but this particular place was QUIET and awkward to say the least. I sat at the massage chairs which already had a liner in it which I thought was clean considering that's the one he used on me but when I put my feet in THE BOTTOM WAS GRITTYYY!? I didn't say anything I thought I'd be fine but now here I am with what looks like to me fungus!?! My boyfriend and I came early morning around 9 and we were stared at when we first came in for about 20-30 seconds before we even were spoke to about what service I wanted to get. Finally got my seated and my feet in water a waited for at least 15-20 min. No service. A couple came in and they serviced them right away. My boyfriend asked if they had an appointment and he stated yes. So you mean to tell me we waited 20 min and no one shared with us anything about an appointment. Then we got up to leave and all they shared was "sorry". Also, when the couple originally came in they spoke to them right away and was like "you don't have to sign in, your our VIP guest" in a joking manner. However, the man didn't asked me what shape I wanted or anything and I ended up paying $40 for my nails to get dipped and end up looking like round bubbles. He filed my nails down to the nub. I'm sitting at work right now kinda pissed off about my nails. I got them on 3 days ago and they look like they are ~2 weeks old. I paid $40 for dip and I think the polish they use to set each layer was old so it was super thick and now my nails are thicker than usual. The shape is also not what I wanted. I asked for almond and it's just kinda rounded. I don't think my nails were long enough for almond but they talked me out of getting tips. The people are very nice however... I've been here twice. The first time, I had a fine experience. This second time is, sadly, the worst nail experience I've ever had. I was burned multiple times, nearly every one of my nails is crooked and lumpy, and I have residue around my nails that they couldn't remove. My nail tech was obviously inexperienced but very nice. I won't be returning and recommend you go to signature nails down the road. I went here only because signature was closed for the holidays. Never again. read more

I was actually at another nail salon, waiting to be seated, when I looked his one up on yelp and walked out and drove here! As soon as I walked in, I was asked what I needed done and the male owner got me in immediately! (I only needed a fill and my toes painted cause I was in a rush.) The owner did my fill VERY QUICKLY and they look amazing! Once finished, the owners daughter actually did my toes and was very sweet and made great conversation. I think I have found my new go to nail salon, and lucky it was on the first try! I came in around 6:15 in a Tuesday night and the were more than happy to do both dip nails and a pedicure with shellac even though they closed at 7:30. The place is super clean and modern looking, with relaxing music playing in the back ground. As soon as i sat down i was offered something to drink and given the salon menu. They had plenty of shellac and dip colors to chose from. My pedicure was excellent, I chose the vanilla latte and it smelled wonderful. He (wish I would have got then man's name, as he was very good) even did my shellac polish before all the lotion to make sure the shellac would adhere well to my toe nails! When removing my current set of dip nails, he barely filed off the shiny top layer (most places over do the drilling and end up hurting me) and allowed them to fully soak off on foil while he finished up my pedicure. I love this because everywhere else I have ever been tries to drill off the product and it ruins my nails. When putting on the new set he even made the comment that the previous place had drilled to deep on my nails, which is true. I'm glad that they pay attention and do there best not to damage your natural nails. When doing the new set he really took his time to make sure the shape and length were what I wanted. He also did the dip very thin so it would look more natural because of the color I chose, but they reassured me if I had any problems with them that I could come back and get it fixed. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is price. They are a tad bit more expensive than what I am use to back home but they seem to be in line on price with the other salons I checked with around town. Overall this is a great nail salon and I look foward to going back, and am also relieved that I don't have to hunt for a nail salon after finding this place! read more

I got my nails done for the first time at venus nails yesterday. My experience was 10/10. The employees and owner are so polite and nice. When I came in I was immediately asked how I could be helped. I was a walk-in and it was very busy but they were still happy to help. Due to it being very busy, my wait time was about 20 minutes but it wasn't bad at all. They were very patient and made sure i was happy. They repeatedly told me that they wanted me to be happy with my nails and they were glad to make any changes. I didn't like the color I chose, and they actually redid the whole manicure. I was so pleased with my experience here. It was 45$ for dip manicure. I recommend going here. read more

It feels unclean and disorganized with almost-empty bottles of polish to choose from. The staff is inexperienced yet they are still charging experienced tech rates. My $40 pedicure was a train wreck. The owners are kind and hardworking and I know they can pull through this rough season but they need to downsize, let some people go, and push reset. I wish them the best. read more

This place was just wonderful! They give you a free drink, and you will definitely have enough time to pick a color. Everyone there was so so nice and patient, and they really take anyone right up until 7:30 pm exactly. As for price, I would probably take about 50-60 dollars just so that you can get any shape and type of nail you want without worrying about not having enough, and of course you'll want to have more money on hand if you're going for spa too. Terrible, terrible, terrible. The tools were very dirty and the end result was not what I really wanted. Almost all of my nails were burned in the process of taking my dip off because the lady wanted to cut corners and make it quick. I have a pretty severe cut underneath one of my nails, which is a little concerning because the tools were so dirty. Reading through comments now I see many complaints on cuts and dirty tool that the owner claims to be "sterilized" and the cuts are just something "they cannot help" but when it's a consistent complaint then there is probably something wrong with technique. Lastly, some of the nails are crooked and the powder isn't near my cuticles. It honestly looks like I need a fill when I just left the salon. Not worth $50, and I really wanted to be able to return. But my nails HURT sooo bad. I'm super sad about this, the salon was beautiful. read more

Legit love this place. I think I found my nail salon in Lubbock! After moving here from Plano, I have been on a search for a nail salon I can go to permanently and I think this is it! I got a mani pedi and absolutely loved every bit of it. They have a huge selection of complimentary drinks and different pedi services ranging from $35-$70. I got a $35 vanilla latte pedi and it was heavenly. Worth every penny. And my nails were done sooooo perfectly. My cuticles are clean, the paint is coated evenly, and my hands are super soft.
