I called to inquire on the pictures posted and requested the nail tech who did the nails of the modeled pics and the lady that answered informed that she had done them...well I have been through this lie before only to have money waisted on a horrible set of nails.. So I told her listen, I hope you are telling the truth because if not I am going to be very very upset if I find out that YOU WERE NOT the person that did the nails posted on YELP. She said "Yes yes I am, what Time do you want to come in"? I told her 10:30am and she said ok.. I arrived promptly and she greeted me with a huge smile and said hi Nicole I am Mary, nice to meet you, please find your color and sit here (she did an OUTSTANDING PEDICURE!!!) she talked to me to ease me, because yes...I Was watching EVERYTHING!!! But she was soooooo pleasant!!! Sooo sweet and we shared many of laughs too...not at all your normal nail spa, this one has loads of love and an abundance of personality!!! So I really liked that she did my pedi and nails.... After fixing the horrible work from the last place that I went to, I fell in love with the almond shape that she did to my nails!!!! The guy that charged me out the wazoo gave me the WORST ALMOMD SHAPE THAT I HAVE EVER SAW IN MY LIFE!!!! But he had the file cut into the sides of my real nails so badly that I couldn't even tell him...I just wanted to GO!!!!!!! I received so many compliments as soon as I left.. That was confirmation that I found the right place..and she's 5 mins from my home AND she told me she would do my nails at anytime I needed even if it's after hours...OMG!!! The spa: VERY CLEAN AND SANITARY THE NAIL TECHS : There are only (2) Mary and her Husband..but they work fast and everyone that had been serviced seemed VERY PLEASED!!! And those that came but had to wait were given an approximate time to come back and they did!!! Personalities: WAYYYYY DIFFERENT THAN MOST OTHER SPAS. You will feel the professionalism, the eagerness to please you by their nail talents, they speak to you, and they are sooooooooo nice!!! This is my type of place to come to!! They offer you soft drinks, water, pretzels, candies, chips (I think) I couldn't really tell but there are free small items to snack on there as well. I only wanted water. Very great prices!!! Well that's exactly what I got A BOTCH JOB and she REFUSED to take them off. I didn't even want her to redo I wanted them off and she would not!!! I guess I'm the oddball here. I came in for a pedi and full set. There is a husband and wife that owns this place. Very nice couple. The wife did my pedicure. I was surprised that they dont use the cheese grater thing to scrub the bottom of your feet, just a pumice stone which is less effective in my opinion. But since I get pedis every two weeks, a super average pedicure every now an then wont hurt i guess. Great polish job on the toes tho. However my full set was honestly a mess. I tried to like it, but there's not much to like. I requested coffin nails, a soft pink color with rhinestones on the bottom each nail just like a picture shown in the gallery. The lady told me that color was a powder, so i said ok cool. The powder ends up looking nothing like the picture. The color of the powder I got was a much darker pink and the color was inconsistent. Some parts of each nail looks white and pink. Kind of like a bootleg ombre effect. And also, she applied the powder so close to my cuticle that its basically on top of my cuticle. So she applied acrylic on my actual skin is what i'm saying. And the acrylic sits super thick around the cuticle and actually stands higher than my cuticle as opposed to it looking like the nails grew out naturally from the cuticle. Also, the shape of my nails were not coffin so i had to go to Salleys and buy a coarse nail file to do them myself. And the rhinestones...one fell off the next day. Overall I paid $35 for a hot mess set of nails and I will probably have to get soaked off because since she applied the acrylic on my actual skin, I probably wont need a fill for 4-6 weeks lol and I cant be seen with this mess for that long. I cant help but laugh because it really looks terrible. I went ahead and tipped anyway because I'm classy like that. Like I said, the couple is really nice, but that's not what reviews are for. I'm not sure who did all the pictures in the gallery. I'm guessing the husband. I know now to take all reviews with a huge grain of salt because some of these ladies hyped this place all the way up. Management has changed since my last review. Venus Nails is now ran by a husband and wife team. Mary, does a great job and is very friendly. She is also a jack of all trades. She does nails, waxing, threading, massages & now cuts hair. I can only vouch for her pedicures and threading services...she is top notch. There are two issues with Venus Nails. Since it is only a husband & wife team, they can only take two people at a time. Another issue, Mary loves to talk. Some days I just want to relax in silence. It is good they are open on Sunday. But the owner herself did my nails and the the color wasn't even. I got a dip manicure. The color didn't go to the tips of my nails. I paid $40 but tHey look like nails that have the color wearing off! When I mentioned it to her she said she didn't see what I was talking about. I saw a bad review on here but I thought I'm not picky about my nails really. But the fact of the matter is, if I'm paying for my nails then they should look done not wearing off. read more

Went there 2 weeks ago with a friend. I was in a rush and we did finish on time. Nails were pretty but he was pretty messy and very heavy handed with the NexGen, so it ended up a little bulkier than what Im used to. The nail also wasn't attached to my real nail properly so there were a lot of gaps between the real and fake nail. Other than that, customer service was great, they were so nice with us. read more

Fabulous pedicure, made me feel completely at ease, yes she does love to talk, but so do I, it was great. She told me about the area, made shopping and dining suggestions. Her husband was friendly, but not TOO friendly (not in the creepy way). Next we came in for a hair cut, even he liked Mary. We come in all the time for his hair cuts & my pedicures.
