This was my 2nd time ever getting gel nails (on my natural nail) and my first time at V.i.p nails. I have found my for ever spot to have my nails done though. Asia did a fantastic job and was very attentive to detail. I have terribly cracked skin and cuticles and skin around my nails and she spent the extra time to soften and trim it away, never once did it hurt. The massage with lotion at the end was a lovely touch I do not recall having the other time I had my nails done at another salon. When I return I will request her again and you should too! The shop is clean, they use sterilized utensils and in the pedicure area they use basin liners. It's also warm and not overly decorated, with complimentary snacks and drinks. This is my favorite nail place of all time! This is the only nail salon I have ever been to that my nails will last for 4 sometimes more weeks! They never lift, and I am complimented on them all the time. They are quite edgy for Rowlett and always have the new stuff to try out. They were the first place I saw nextgen, chrome finish, color changing and cat eye finishes, my go to is nextgen ombre with my own color combos. Its clean, quiet, relaxing, and happy, they always offer me something to drink and are as chatty as I am feeling. They don't hard sell you on additional services and they don't overbook their techs so I've never had to wait. I always try to offer some sort of constructive criticism so...might be nice if they offered threading in addition to waxing? read more

I went here for the first time over the weekend. My two sisters recommended this place. I've been to quite a few nail salons in Garland and Rowlett and this one was one of my favorites. Went on a Saturday for a pedicure. There were maybe 5 women getting their nails done so I thought it would be a bit of a wait. But no, by the time I chose my color the technician was ready for me. They had several techs working which is great because there is not wait. I got the pedicure with the scrub which was $30. Plus a $6 tip. They offer you a complimentary beverage and I believe they also serve a few alcoholic drinks. Not sure if those are at an additional cost. I was very pleased with the service and the way my pedicure turned out. Will definitely be back! read more

They asked me 5-6 more x as I'm getting the pedicure because they said it was too light for my toes. The pedicurist and the front desk girl even told me to get a darker color. The pedicurist even attempted to put a darker color on my toes in front of me and I told her no. Why would you do that after I said no? I said I've had bubble bath before, I know what I want. Please stop telling me what you want me to have, I know what color it is. I came in requesting it, I sat down requesting it, because that's what I wanted. I'm like what are you really trying to say!? Darker skinned individuals shouldn't pick colors like that because it's too light? I could only imagine if a white or lighter toned woman came in to request that color. Im sure they'd have been pleased to put it on them. Then I had to ask the lady to fix my big toe because the polish wasn't neat at all. She kept saying it wasn't neat because someone put acrylic on my toes before coming to them. Two people accused me of having acrylic on my toes when I've in fact NEVER had acrylic. But even if I did, why would you just slap the polish on there if you knew it would be uneven!?? Shouldn't it have been taken off beforehand if you saw it? It was a ridiculous experience. 08/12/17 I am now a regular. While you can't go wrong with any technician here, they all are very knowledgeable. I have found my personal favorites. I am very loyal to Ann, for the pedicure. I have had many pedicures in my lifetime and hands down, she has been the very best. Why, you ask. Because in all these years no one has ever made my cracked heals disappear. Ann, is a miracle worker. Add to that, she pays attention to detail, not one cuticle out of place. Then the neverending massage....I must admit, massages that I have received in the past would be painful...Ann's are gentle, yet firm. It's the highlight of my pedicure. Then I recently went from gel nails to NexGen. I used Asia one time, and we clicked. I have always had square nails and was really looking to change it up. So I mentioned the stiletto nail, but had some apprehension due to poking myself or someone else (not practical for me). She gave me an almond shape. I was so pleased with it. When I look down at my hands I can't believe they are mine. read more

I went in to get tip and dip , first off... the nail tech didn't cut my nails before putting the nail on (which I've never been to any nail salon where they don't trim my nails down before putting on the nail). Second .. I asked for coffin shape and my nails are no where near coffin shaped. And on top of that I don't mind the price but for the quality of work she did it was definitely not worth the 45. Also the nail tech I had was very rough squeezing my fingers and twisting and turning them every which way as if my fingers bent side to side so on top of an uncomfortable experience I was NO WHERE NEAR satisfied with the work done and the price. On the positive side (I think it might have been the owner) she went out of here way to fix my nails after I went to her because after waiting 15 minutes one of my nails just would not dry and got messed up, she noticed some of my nails weren't smooth and had bumps on them ( shows the quality work my nail tech did) and she fixed them so thank you to her for that. But as for the nail techs there should be more communication with them and the quality they offer to their customers because they will (like myself) run new potential customers away. I came here after work with some coworkers and there were quite a few people being helped, so we thought there would be at least a fifteen minute wait. Instead, we were seen in about five minutes after we picked our colors, which was impressive. They have lots of pedicure options, including a choose your spoiled pedi that gives you the typical callus treatment and massage + either a hot stone massage, a paraffin treatment, a mud mask, or a few other choices. I chose the got stone massage and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My technician's name was Ann and she was very sweet and my nails look great! She did pull at my skin a bit too hard and I bled for a second (hence the four stars instead of five), but she disinfected it and apologized, which I appreciated. I really liked the decor and the strawberry margarita they offered me was great! I definitely suggest this place! read more

Visited Dallas for the day and I wasn't sure where to get my pedicure. Came here based on reviews. I got talked into a more expensive pedicure because it had been a while since I've had one and my feet could have used the extra attention! The tech was nice and made my toes look fabulous... but I left still having calluses on my heels that I had to tend to myself when I got home. I rarely get my nails done, but wanted to pamper myself yesterday. I knew I wanted a nexgen manicure and was excited to see they also do foils, chromatic, and marble art too! Lisa was very gentle as she did my pedicure, and Lanni did my hands. You can tell these ladies aren't just coworkers, they're friends who care about each other. The work environment seemed more upbeat and happy than other places I've been in the past. Lanni listened to everything I asked for and paid very close attention to detail. She even took the time to redo a few nails that had some bubbles in my chrome design. I really felt special and I'm happy I stopped by! First off definitely not worth going to a place that doesn't listen. Went in to get nails done, dip and pedicure. They didn't shape my nails per my request of oval. They left them however the nail tech wanted. Then when putting my shoes on the nail tech ruined my big toe, instead of repainting the toe she just added more clear paint. Now there are dents on the shoe does when it got messed up. I moved to rowlett 9 months ago and have been coming to this location for a couple of months, at first they were great and then they just start not listening to your request unless I suppose your a known client. Definitely NOT worth the money to come here!!! read more

Wonderful service like no other! Going to nail salons in this area usually mean constant up selling and sloppy service but this place goes above and beyond to please their customers. I've been here multiple times and I've never been pressured into a service I didn't not want! The techs are always funny and knowledgable. I once went in a hour before closing and I was expecting rushed service but I received an amazing full set. It's a little pricey but well worth it. My acrylics last 3 weeks! I went to this establishment 3 times each time I was impressed until the one of the workers got a little to comfortable with me by insulting my feet. She stated that my feet had a lot of dead skin on them because I skipped a week. Hey I have a good sense of humor, but when she kept complaining I just ignore her. But when I returned she made comments to the other worker and made a comment about me in her first language and the other workers laughed I felt insulted. I still shoved it off, but when 2 more customer walked in I guess my time was up she popped my feet in an insulting manner and didnt assist me with pedicure shoes I felt as though I was rushed out. I realize my time was probably up but I paid for more services the last time I received a pedicure. My thing is consistency , she told me what services I received without asking me. I think you should never get too comfortable with customers that you ignore their feelings and disregard their comfort level. read more

This is the WORST nail experience I have ever had. I think my tech's name was Katie. She did not listen to what I wanted. My acrylics ended up short and crooked. I have gone here for 9 months. Last visit they could match the gel color of my nails with a color for my toes. Said it wasnt their fault. Wanted me to pay another $15 on top of my bill of $82. I stopped in here as a walk-in a couple of weeks ago to have Gel Nails done. The tech came out and started pulling that Dremel tool out and I told her no, that I wanted them soaked off. My nails are very thin and the Dremel tool is painful. So then she pulls out a bowl covered with a towel and sticks my hand in it. Simultaneously it hits me the liquid is Hot and the smell of the bowl of acetone likes to knock me out. I asked her about the foil wraps and she rolls her eyes (yup really) and starts talking to this other woman while wrinkling up her nose. I wiped my hand off on her towel and told her to forget it! I don't want anything to do with them and I walked out. Won't be going back there. That bowl of hot acetone is murder on the rest of your hands and their customer attitude leaves a lot to be desired. You should never let your customer feel like whoever is waiting on you "pulled the short straw". read more

So I've been coming for awhile.. They have an a amazing color selection and are pretty clean. I love it. They do a good job. Customer Service is not good though...The ladies are not very nice, and will talk about you. I went there to get my nails removed, because I had broken some... I go in thinking, it would only take 10-15 minutes. I was there for 40minutes. My hands were in a bowl for a long time. A lot of the ladies were busy but then i saw some coming out from the back and was like what the heck.. The owner was rushing around trying to get everyone helped, and coming to me, back and forth. I began to become impatient... I asked the lady nicely if we were almost done, and she kinda snapped and said "no it takes awhile".. I was already ready to just get up, pay and leave because I had to be somewhere.. She finally finished and she told me it was $10. I think that was over priced for just removing a few nails.. I still have a ton of acrylic on my nails.. Not happy at all. But if anyone does choose to go, I recommend Helen! Shes very sweet and does a great job. Shes the only one I have liked. read more
