Thing Two was over the moon thrilled when we arrived as she was in awe of all the little sparkly items the store had to offer. Accordingly, I allowed her to pick out items of her choosing upon arrival. Additionally, prior to coming into the location, I purchased several things on-line to be ready in-store. The piercing technician was very thorough in her explanation of what to expect during and after the piercing. As a parent I appreciated this as it placed a sense of calm in Thing Two. After the piercing, Thing Two found some pineapple lights for her room, a cat mirror jewellery stand, a key chain and some other items that I am sure will not be in style or on trend by the time year 11 comes around. This store and stores like it are very easy to spend too much money in with buy three get three deals and half of this and that... I came in with the expectation of the getting the $50.00 dollars of items I paid for on-line and pay approx. $60.00 for the piercing. But, clearly that is NOT how this played out. Thing Two wanted earnings with the piercing that were at the top of the price list, so $60.00 turned into $92.00 with tax. And another $50.00 + on in-store items in addition to the $50.00 spent before coming in. Expectation of spending: $60.00 + $ 50.00= $90.00 Reality of spending $92.00 + $50.00 + $ 50.00= $200.00 (with tax). This store is sure to please lovers of shiny things.

It is based on the concept of knowing what you want and zeroing in on a specific store. However, if you have time, you can leisurely peruse the entire Arboretum Market. The layout is easy to navigate, and the space is clean and inviting. Over the years, we have seen the market evolve where stores come in and out. For example, Saks Fifth Avenue was an anchor store for over a decade. In addition, one of my favorite shoe stores, Marmi, was in the Arboretum Market until it was transferred to the Domain. Over the upcoming years, I am sure we continue to see stores transition in and out...however, right now the selection is very good. Pro tips: If you want to go grocery shopping at Trader Joe's choose an early morning timeframe. In addition, Starbuck's can be limited in parking spots near the coffee shop, however, there is plenty of free parking in the broader parking lot. The selection provides a reasonable assortment of items and of good quality. The Arboretum Market caters from everyday shoppers to specialty shoppers in establishments like Blue Mercury (skincare and toiletries), Antiques by Anna or Milk & Honey spa. Customer service varies from store to store. In general, business staff are super friendly and accommodating. It is a great place to shop without the crowds that sometimes large malls bring.
