Wow. I couldn't decide whether a 4 or 5 star review is appropriate…read more The reviews on this place are spot on. Walking in, it's a bit confusing. There's no one to greet, nor a sign to state to wait to be seated. I saw a server and asked her and she lead me to a table. So, 4 stars for walking in. I was waiting on friend to show up. Our water glasses were filled and our server (Cory) asked if i wanted something to drink other than water (no). The place has a very industrial vibe and is very noisy (4 stars). Friend showed up and we looked at the somewhat limited menu. Cory took our orders. I ordered a (swordfish) fish sandwich with no bread and a side order of frittes (fries). Friend ordered the steak sandwich with condiments on the side. Looking around, one can see through the clear door as the butchers are breaking down the meats. There's a spot to shuck fresh oysters. There's a cooler with sides of beef and pork hanging and aging. along with cuts of meat, fish, and seafood. They had poke, different kinds of fish (amberjack which I've not seen outside of Florida)! There's a lot of wait staff, all in black with no name tags. The food arrived after about a ten minute wait. And the wait was worth it. The swordfish was done perfectly, juicy and tender. The swordfish was served with tartar sauce but it wasn't needed. The steak sandwich was just that, with the meat being steak worthy - tender and flavorful. The fries were AMAZING!!! Cooked in tallow, they were soft on the inside with a crusty outer shell. We ate every last one of them ((5 stars on the food). And 5 stars for Cory who was very busy but kept our water glasses filled and answered our questions. We talked to the owner for a bit. It was obvious that he has a passion for what he's got going on at this place. We'll go back for sure.

They looked absolutely mouth watering and were about $20/lb. We also ordered a Steak Frites to go and it was honestly perfection. The most perfectly medium-rare steak with so much flavor along with the perfectly crisp French fries. The baby bleu shallot sauce was just okay. The taste of fat was stronger than the other ingredients. But the fries were so beautifully cooked that you honestly don't need any sauce at all. Just enjoy their tallow fried goodness! Customer service was okay. Our order was handled quickly but our friend who placed the order felt uncomfortable in the space. Some of the young staff members were repeating her name and then would laugh and she felt a bit self-conscious because of it. There were also a lot of people in the food prep area laughing and hanging out, which didn't feel super clean. But, due to the fantastic quality of the food, we will definitely be back and look forward to hopefully have an even better overall experience

He's open everyday from 9-5 except on Sundays. He's at church on Sundays. We were making our way to Bisbee for the day and saw his big sign for fresh eggs and I turned my Jeep around. I was happy to find freshly shelled pecans, It's a Texas thing, I have to have them when I see them. Come to find out, Ken is from Texas too! I guess Texan knows Texan and instantly felt those good vibes. I should have bought more pecans to go home and bake me a pecan pie but this time I was unprepared with cash... yeah, please bring cash if you stop by. He's got bee pollen, local honey, a variety of flavored pistachios, my favorite, habanero, chili lime, jalapeño, and about 5 more flavors, plain pecans, salted roasted and candied. You can also find the freshest eggs, chicken, duck, and turkey! He is so friendly, informative and helpful. We found Ken by pure accident and I am happy to have met such an amazing human being. He's just one of those good people that are hard to find nowadays that are genuinely honest and kind. If you happen to come this way, stop by and buy some goodies from Ken. Maybe if you get lucky you'll catch a glimpse of his (Cardinal) friend, Jean Arnold. Thank you for eggs Mr. Ken, they were all delicious!

I get tired of seeing the same cuts of meat at my local grocery store and I am always on the look…read moreout for a good butcher or meat market. A friend told me about this place as he knows the owner as they went to college together and stated that the owner has several degrees in Meat Science. I went there and looked at all the cuts in the refrigerator section and noticed that he has some meats at the perfect refrigerated temperature so that you can purchase it and go straight home and throw it on your grill. I also noticed that someone had ordered a special cut and wanted him to age it for them and he had it behind glass at the temperature needed for the aging process. Was cool to see that meat aging. I bought two well marbled steaks and the size of them were perfect. I paid $20 for both! In my opinion that was a bargain. I grilled my steaks and boy was the flavor tasty and tender. The steaks cut like a knife going through butter. Next door from the meat section he has a counter where they can prepare and grill your purchased meat. I tried this service and the steak was grilled perfect and the French Fries on the side were delicious. I don't know what type of grease they use on the fries but they tasted delicious and crispy. The workers in the meat department and the cook were so nice and friendly. Stop in and make this your family meat market and if you want a steak grilled for you this is the place.

This is for the Lomo Grill section…read more Ordered a beef and cabbage burrito. The beef is definitely of a higher quality when compared with most restaurants and fast food joints. I did not encounter any stringy or infinitely chewable meat, and the beef itself is quite juicy. The burrito itself comes with an optional sauce packet, but it tastes juicy enough to hold its own without it. My only gripe is it's smaller and less nutritious than one you could grab at Chipotle. The rice, beans, vegetables, and guacamole options at chipotle contribute to a larger nutritional profile than just beef and cabbage at this location. It's also bigger at chipotle. My overall logic is this: If you're looking for a good quality beef burrito, you can grab one here because the quality of beef is worth the price increase and size reduction when compared to Chipotle. If you want a chicken burrito, stick with Chipotle.

But, on the way to Nogales is the town of Rio Rico and they have a smaller Garrett's IGA Supermarket. (Just 10 minutes South of Tubac) This is a local market.. a good size... they cater mostly to the Mexican people, as the population in Rio Rico is primarily Mexican. But in addition, they have everything ANYONE really needs...when I lived here in Tubac I've gone there often to shop. Their fresh meats are really good... and on Thursday's they have their meat sales. Can't say I've ever gotten a bad piece of meat there... and the shrimp are great. So don't bypass it thinking they won't have the foods you need...they've got it all. Maybe they don't have 200 different kinds of breakfast cereal..but they have the basics. Also have a good bakery counter...love their bolla rolls (probably spelled this wrong). Highway 19 to Yavapai Drive. Check it out! You'll also find a pizza place, a dinner, a bank and a few other shops... and gas right across the street.
