I calmly explained that I had asked for fries and that she had even repeated "fries" back to me when taking my order. Rather than listening, she continued arguing with me and told me she would change it "this one time," as if she were doing me a favor instead of correcting an incorrect order. She took the bag without checking anything and walked away, continuing to give me dirty looks throughout the interaction. I've worked in food service myself, so I understand that mistakes happen. Orders get mixed up, and that's part of the job. What isn't acceptable is treating a polite customer with hostility, arguing instead of trying to resolve the issue, and making them feel like they're at fault for asking to receive the meal they actually ordered. The incorrect order wasn't what upset me the most, it was the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy. I hope management addresses this with the employee who was working the front counter during my visit, because no customer should be treated this way over a simple order correction.
