If this review was based solely on the massage, I'd give it five stars. However, it is my whole experience which wasn't all that great. First- trying to make an appointment is impossible. Nobody ever answers, even though their website (and a response to an email) said that someone is there during certain hours to schedule. I ended up booking via email, but I didn't feel comfortable giving my credit card information that way. I told them I'd call and when I finally got through to someone, they had given up my spot because I didn't contact them in time... even though I constantly tried AND told them via email I couldn't get a hold of them. If you are using a Groupon, which I was, you have to give them the code off of it as well- so make sure you have that available or they won't book you. Second- the location is not well marked. The view on Google Maps and on their website is from the side. A view I didn't see from the street. I passed it three times before realizing which one it was. The driveway is tiny and there are only a few parking spots behind the building. It was a tight squeeze. Third- the inside is odd. You go in, up some stairs and are in a tiny foyer. They have some chairs and a desk set up. I didn't mind, however I felt cramped when it was me, the lady checking me in, another employee and a customer trying to check out. I felt like I was in the way, even though I was sitting in a chair. The room I was in for my massage was so bright and loud. They have a window facing Savannah Highway, so I constantly heard cars, trucks, horns, squealing, etc. The blinds didn't keep out the light and they didn't close the curtains. I was also very cold in that room. Fourth- Okay, the massage. It was absolutely amazing. The pressure was perfect and she checked in to make sure I was doing okay. I did not like her talking to me so much (not asking about the pressure, but about a lot of different random things) as this was my time to relax and zen out. While I did enjoy the massage, I don't think I'll be back. I am thankful for the opportunity to try it but it just wasn't a good fit for me. read more

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Verdant EcoSpa 2 weeks ago. I came in for an early morning massage on a Friday - using a Groupon I'd purchased months before (note: they do require you to call to make this appointment if using a voucher. Something they have, admittedly to my annoyance, plastered all over their website and in the lobby of the business. The ONLY negative I have for them at all). My masseuse was Caryn. She was warm, friendly and very caring. She asked me to fill out a form about my medical history, concerns and goals for the session. I then spoke with her briefly about what kind of massage I was looking for and she was HAPPY to help. It turns out her specialty is medical massage therapy so she was a great fit for my needs (pinched nerves and minor damage from a car accident a few years ago). She explained everything she was doing and checked throughout the session to make sure the pressure was okay. I left feeling like a new person. Yes, cliche, but entirely true. I got a Groupon for 2 visits here. I've come to the point where I expect mediocre service once I mention I have a Groupon, but that was not the case here. I had Margaret and she was professional, kind and good at what she does. I never felt rushed or like she valued me as a "lesser" client. I personally love that they use organic products.the environment is simple and relaxing. It's in an older home downtown. Certainly worth a shot in my opinion, especially with the Groupon. read more

I have not yet had a service at this spa, but I am reviewing because I have found it extremely difficult to make an appointment. I have called several times over the past 1-2 weeks and am always met with a voicemail, even when calling during business hours. I have gotten a phone call back twice (once while I was getting my hair done and unable to locate my groupon code, and once while I was at the gym Without my groupon code). during those calls, I was told I could not book without my code and to call back, however no one ever answers. During our last conversation, I was told somoene would call me today (Monday) to book my appointment and take my groupon code as today is the day it expires. However, they are closed Monday! So I guess I can't book an appointment? Very disappointed as I called several times and have been unable to book. read more

It was one of best massages I had. Being pregnant she focused on back, legs, arms, and it was so relaxing ! The facial was also nice and there was a scalp massage as well. I have had a couple of spa treatments at Verdant EcoSpa. The space is small but efficient and very nice, inviting and clean. Kristin is extremely knowledgeable and she always made sure my comfort came before anything else. Prices are reasonable and I have never felt rushed through a treatment. There is usually a meter open near the spa, and they are also close to the Wentworth Garage. If you are in the hospitality industry, make sure to mention it! read more

I've had 2 facials and a massage at Verdant EcoSpa and Kristin is excellent! I've had facials at several places over the years and hers are among the very best. Since moving to Charleston I've begun to struggle with skin imperfections and bumps. Kristin spends a lot of time working on my problem areas (exfoliating, extracting, massaging), and each time I've left with my skin being significantly smoother and clearer. She also does a nice shoulder massage while the face mask is drying and suggests easy options for improving your daily skincare regimen without being pushy. Her body massage was also really enjoyable. I can't speak to her deep tissue work, but my Swedish one was incredibly relaxing. Kristin owns the spa and it is clear she takes pride in what she does and does it extremely well! Update: Just wanted to let everyone know I've been going here for about 2 years now, getting a facial every 6-8 weeks. The location has moved to West Ashley, but Kristin's service remains outstanding. read more

I was in need of a facial and purchased a Group on. Although it is a very small place, the facial was wonderful. My skin is very sensitive and I seek out natural products, so this was perfect. It is a very relaxed, quiet setting, and I nearly fell asleep during the treatment. I'm definitely going back for a seaweed facial or exfoliation. Love the products! read more

If I was able to rate a negative star then it would be happening. Absolutely worst experience! I was given a facial as a gift from groupon. Upon arriving early to my appointment, I was unable to find the spa. Google maps pinpointed the location but after an hour of walking around, entering surrounding business inquiring of the spa's whereabouts which no one knew either. I even called numerous of times to the spa only to meet a constant voicemail greeting. I left multiple voicemails asking for assistance and NO ONE returned my call. Until 3HOURS LATER!! When I asked where the location of the spa resided, the answer I received was "inside a building." No Joke! There was absolutely no sign for the spa!! When I asked why, the receptionist said, the landlord said "no." At that point, I had given up and requested a groupon refund. The owner said she would honor that request but as NOT done so almost a month later! Stay far away! Instead of being left relaxed, you will be even more stressed! read more
