Let me start of by saying when we did our inspection the weather was aweful. Phil got there on time and even offered us an Umbrella. The inspection took about three hours and let me tell you, no area went uninspected. Phil was thorough, crawling into tiny creepy spots, crawling into the tiny attic, going onto the roof in the pouring rain. He was well prepared and equipted with every device he needed. How did I decide on to work with Philip/Veriguard? After receiving referrals from my agent and friends, none of them measured. The referrals had multiple bad YELP reviews from shakey inspections to bad customer service. I read about the reviews for Philip/Veriguard and decided to keep looking, he seemed too good to be true. Honestly, his reviewers provided thorough information regarding his quality of service, which I can verify. I placed a request on Yelp and received a number of bids. Philip's bid met right in the middle. My deciding factor was the quality of service. I can verify from start to finish the service was professional and responsive. Once the inspection was scheduled, you receive confirmation via their website, I was hoping the reviews didn't steer me wrong. Philip was on time, the inspection lasted about 2 1/2 hours. He began immediately viewing the front landscape. As a first time home buyer, I appreciated Philip answering all of our questions and concerns. Phil is definitely a master of his craft and has a natural eye and instincts for every little thing (good & bad) going on in a home. I used Phil for an inspection on a large 3k + sq ft home and he broke down every single crevice on the outside/inside (during an ice storm). The amazing part is everything he points out with such accuracy coupled with him staying completely unbiased the entire time. After the initial inspection he had some follow up items at the home after an additional brief visit and contacted me immediately to go through them in detail. The report was provided timely and extremely detailed. In addition, other's itemize a lot of the technology he uses and his pricing does not.
