My family of four who have been AT&T customers for the past three years with no problems went into…read morethe Andover Kansas store on April 13, 2023 for our upgrade of our phones. The salesman's name was who helped us this day was named Jay. We were told that there would be no fees associated with our upgrades, and that our bill would stay the same other than the installment fees associated with paying for the new phones. He also talked us into 2 pairs of Apple AirPods as they were running a special for $6 a pair per month for a year added to our bill so total $12 a month added to the bill for one year. I asked for a total of what to expect on our next bill and he said it would be about $40 higher with the new equipment installments which came out to be about right around $220 a month. We received our first bill and the total was $656.53. I immediately called the Andover store to speak to Jay and was told that he no longer work there because he had been lying to multiple customers, stolen money from the store, and had stolen a phone before being fired. I was also the 4th customer just that DAY who had called in about what Jay had done to them. I have spent a total of over 7 hours on the phone with AT&T to get this sorted out. Jay lied about every single thing he told us. We were charged for every fee possible, he added 3 lines to our plan (for a total of 7), and the AirPods were not on special and were actually being added to our bill for a total of $41.67 a month instead of $12. This isn't just bad customer service. This borderlines on criminal. This salesman wasn't just a liar but a thief who also has access to my and my family's personal information. I know we weren't the only people effected and the manager made that clear. I want to hear from anyone else who recently dealt with Jay Grayson at the Andover Kansas store.
