I've been tied with Comcast Xfinity for wireless services at home for 5 years! It had been hard to think of switching..as you know...switching had always been sort of painful for me. But then..I finally had it and decided to switch to another service provider which would reduce my costs by more than half! So...I ended up managing to gather my courage to switch! I stopped by the store...since Comcast..AHEM made it hard to talk to them (I wanted to cancel my services with them...and they made me make an online appointment for someone from their call center to call back 3 days after...horrible service!). So, I ended up stopping by this shop in person instead. The pleasant thing about this shop was that it looked modern and the staff was nice and actually pleasant to interact with in person. They asked me for a cancellation reason, which I let them know..and it wasn't anything they could do to change my mind. I had been a customer for 5 years and they never called me (and I felt like they had always sneaked in higher prices without letting me know)..but then now I kept getting repeated automated calls a few times a day, presumably to try to make my change my mind!). Glad to be out of overpriced contract from Comcast Xfinity! I wished I had switched to other providers sooner...and hadn't missed Comcast Xfinity at all since I made the switch!! Comcast Xfinity delivered one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. I scheduled a service appointment, rearranged my entire day to be home during the appointment window, and waited for hours -- only for no technician to ever show up. To make matters worse, Comcast later falsely claimed that I "was not home." That is absolutely untrue. I was home the entire time specifically waiting for their technician. No knock on the door, no phone call, no text, nothing. This kind of dishonest excuse-shifting is unacceptable from a company of this size. Received service and added a phone. I believe the phone was free. Which is a bonus I thought. Phone was so bad my friend Had issues . We had to replace a new phone went to T- mobile for one. Long story short, we constantly had issues with the company saying he owned money which wasn't the cast. My friend makes way over 109,000 a year. Xfinity ended shutting his phone off. I waited over an hour for them to deny me getting my equipment. They stated I needed to bring documentation like I was applying for a passport. Xfinity staff is either uneducated about company policies or they are just saying random things to get through customer interactions. Had they advised me after I asked do I need to bring anything with me to the store. I was told no. no communication with call center staff and onsite store staff. I was able to make a same-day appointment, because who has time to wait, right? I got there at 5 pm, right after work, and I was in and out of there probably in 10 minutes tops because I made an appointment. I only had to wait 3 minutes before I was called up. The staff was friendly, cheerful and efficient. It was like they were performing a magic trick - I handed over my equipment and voila! A new modem appeared. And let me tell you, this new modem is a great. Keep in mind I had been waiting for weeks calling Xfinity's 800 number. Again, I'm not a fan of Xfinity the COMPANY. So the fact that the store employee gave me my new modem on the spot- very grateful. This next part of my review is about the technology/ less about the store but setting up this modem was a breeze, I just downloaded the app and plugged it in. It's been smooth sailing ever since. First of all, you cannot reach them by phone. I was talking to them about the purchase of one of the new super iPads at the lofty price of ~$2000. I had to drive to the store to get a couple of questions answered. When asked why they couldn't be reached by phone, the guy said, "if we had a phone, it would be ringing all day." I suggested that it might be people like me trying to spend money. He didn't understand my remark. Bought the iPad at the Apple store in Albuquerque. Those folks helped me with the setup including cloning my old iPad. Xfinity was going to ship theirs to my home. Today I went in to inform them of a new credit card for my automatic payments. They were unable to make that work. Three hours on the phone with many, many foreign accents later, I got it accepted. I now have all 16 digits of the card welded into my memory. BTW, I had to give it twice to each Xfinity and ComCast. When I asked second trainee which he was, he told me they are different. This is why the word "duh" was invented. They have a sign on their window that says "Masks optional for fully vaccinated customers" but the moment I walked in, they made me put on a mask. (Not a problem, but they should remove the sign) The gal we spoke to said the sign didn't matter and we needed to wear one anyways. Again, wearing a mask was not a big deal but they need to remove the sign on the window. They had another sign that said you could skip the line if you had an appointment. We had appointment and still had to wait 25 minutes in line. Again, not a big deal but they need to remove signs they aren't going to follow. The lady at the front (forgot her name) was super rude and had poor customer service. The AC wasn't working well, it was very hot inside. Everyone was fanning themselves. There was one man, Jake who helped with the set up and was very kind and helpful. But overall, the store needs to update their window signs and work on being a little more friendly. read more

Went in here to return some equipment for a friend. No, I'm not a Comcast customer. I've heard too many bad things. Anyway, it's a Saturday afternoon. The weather outside is amazing. So, I figure that there won't be too many people in the store. Wrong! Not only are there like 20 customers in the place, the Comcast folks have decided to set up their store like the DMV with 12 numbered stations and a computer screen alerting you when your turn is up. Ok, that's not bad, except that they only have 3 of the 12 stations manned. I wait. Everyone else does too. Customers are generally pretty pissed off. In reality, it took about 30 minutes to make it to the front of the line. I returned the stuff and got a receipt. The employee was nice, though I'm not a big fan of the sales pitch when he asked if I was a Comcast customer. On the plus side, the iPads they had out for people to use and the Food Network playing on the big screen made the time pass nicely. read more

Very unprofessional business that only cares about selling services and not helping with mobile phone or Apple Watch issues! It took me 4 visits to finally get my Apple Watch set up with cellular service!! I had one idiot waste my time and act like she got it fixed, sent me home and told me to wait 72 hours and go through the motions on my watch to set up cellular on my watch. Of course I got a message stating this could not be completed and to call the Xfinity customer support! She was delivered her lunch right in the middle of helping us, and it was clear that she just wanted to go eat her lunch and get rid of us. Wow! Never experienced this before in a business setting. So unprofessional! Then there's Jamie. I didn't think it could get any worse, but Jamie proved to be rude, telling me that my issue was an Apple Watch issue, which it clearly was not because it is now fixed due to an excellent employee there named Debbie Valdez! Thank you so much, Debbie. You were kind to me and took your time with me and you solved my problem by going through all the right channels to complete it right then and there and I appreciate you so very much. Back to useless Jamie. As I mentioned before, she was rude, condescending, and was in a hurry also. She did not take the time to solve my issue or to try to figure it out. She said that she wrote out an escalation ticket and that someone would contact me within 72 hours to solve this issue. She did give me her business card and said it was direct to her mobile phone and told me to call her in 24 to 48 hours as it should be fixed and she would walk me through the process of setting it up again. I called her once. No answer. I texted her twice over a period of a week and a half and I never heard a response from her. This company definitely needs to weed out. Useless and lazy employees like Jamie who really don't care about their job or their customers. Anyhow, shout out to Debbie Valdez at the Xfinity store on Cutler. Again, she was friendly and knowledgeable, and took the time to listen and actually fix my issue. It did take some time but she stuck in there and we got it resolved that day. My email on my cell phone has been down since 3/1/23 I did have my Comcast forwarding to my Gmail so I could consolidate my mail into one spot. I decided to go back to my separate Comcast email location to keep things separate. I called Xfinity support on March 9,10thand 11th for help to do this. On th 9th an 10th I just got passed around like a hot potato from group to group everyone passing the buck that was after trying to get the situation explained to the BOT OVER AND OVER AGAIN then on the 11th I started early in the morning so I could be it done, here it is 7:45 pm and it' s more screwed up now than ever before. The phone is picking up a Tick Tok conversation? Who knows how or why, just playing had to shut my phone off to get it off. My mail box is still not set up? I'm not happy! read more
