I highly recommend going to see Jay at this Verizon. He really went above and beyond to help me fix my issues and I could not be more happy. I went by Dayton, TN store on 7/6 because I wasnt receving text. Rep. (big guy-bald) fiddled with phone for 20 min. and advised it was my phone. Offered to sell me a Pixel 7 for $200, I agreed. When I tried to pay...,Rep. advised it will have to be billed to me for $20 monthly for 36 months. I can do math.....that is over $700. When I refused and offered the $200 cash, Rep. shoved phone across the desk and said....Can't help you, good day, Next.Classic bait and switch. Drove to Verizon corporate store in Hixson. I live in Athens but drove to Dayton last Monday, Memorial Day because my husband's phone met the river on Sunday and he uses it for work. We needed a new phone quickly! I have never really been impressed with our local store anyway so Dayton it was! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Mikel Southerland. He immediately began to help us navigate and get what we needed and then some! (I needed to upgrade just hadn't) He was courteous, he listened to our needs and wants, he gave us options to choose from and then helped us get transferred over to the new phone in a timely manner. Very clean store. The other staff were friendly and professional as well! Very impressed and will definitely be going back to Dayton store for all my Verizon needs!! The new Michael was great too. ZACH IS AMAZING! He is a multitasking, efficient, knowledgeable person -- I've wasted a lot of time in cellphone stores and never come across someone like him. Absolutely wonderful and the energy when he's in the store is completely different. Actually enjoyable-- he effortlessly engages everyone as soon as they come in, without making who he's helping feel overlooked. Such a great resource here in Dayton -- hope he goes very far! Verizon Wireless has NO customer service! One of the people on my phone plan is getting off of it. She was told that she needed to be an authorized user to do that. I tried to do it by phone. I was sent to a digital assistant. Not a real person. It kept asking me what I wanted to do. After rephrasing several times, I gave up. Then calling, using the call back. It simply hung up that minute that I answered. Called again stayed on hold for 15 minutes. Then they hung up again. Finally took the time to drive to the local Verizon store. Oh, they can't help me either! I don't even want to give them one star! read more

Very odd and interesting afternoon at Verizon in Dayton. Went to upgrade my phone from an 8 to an 11 and the employee helping us, named AJ, was one of the most unprofessional and overall terrible salesman I have ever encountered. After attempting to essentially scam us out of deals and refusing to provide us with any other options to help us meet our demands my mom and I finally had enough. We told him that we didn't really trust him and felt like he was sending off a sketchy vibe towards us. This made him furious as he yelled at us, "y'all take your business somewhere else." On top of that he begin walking towards me aggressively as if he was about to attempt to LITERALLY fight me. At this point another employee stepped in and told him to back away. After this we started working with a different employee at the same store and he was wonderful. Helped us get the best deal we could while also giving us plenty of options to choose from. AJ should really take a page out of this mans book because holy was he a TERRIBLE employee. We went into the store ready to spend money and purchase a new phone and AJ yelling at my mom and I, telling us to leave, and acting as if he was wanting to fight me shows me that this store doesn't run a tight ship. If I was AJs employer he would have been fired IMMEDIATELY! In conclusion, don't go to the Verizon store in Dayton if AJ is working there because believe me, he sucks. read more

The most awful customer service ever experienced. CT and Mitch are not only unhelpful but unnecessarily rude and it seems as if they go out of their way NOT to help customers as soon as a sale is made. I understand that this is not a "REAL" Verizon store, however, especially during Covid-19 you would think hey would try harder to help their customers. Dane and Margaret Scism should be very concerned about the way that their employees are treating customers (aka human beings) during this crisis. I realize everyone is having a difficult time but in the bigger picture these employees seem to lack the necessary customer service skills to help customers and stop using the reason to not help customers is because they "are not a real Verizon store". Something needs to be done to help elderly clientele without exposing them to not only a potentially deadly virus but to the rudeness and insensitivity of Cellular Sales. Hope you made a lot of commission, CT and Mitchell. I also hope you go out of business unless you change your thought process from just making a sale to actually helping the people who purchase your products. *** I would indeed like to share more information on thoughts regarding your team but they seem to try to get off the phone as quickly as possible and I think this review sums it up. My parent came to try to get help as directed during this pandemic against our better judgement and still questions remained unanswered. Today I had a very eventful day at Verizon in Dayton TN. My mother and I made plans on going there with efforts to get an upgrade on my phone. We were welcomed in and we sat with the Verizon worker named AJ. My mother and I began getting a sketchy vibe from AJ as he continuously tried to scam us. We understood that he was trying to scam us because my mom had spoken to a Verizon rep on the phone previously to us going into the store. The Verizon rep explained to my mom all of the deals over the phone before coming in. AJ tried conflicting with what our expectations were for the new plan. He did not offer us the same deal and then pretended like he was not aware of the deal (which was presented on the screen in front of him) once we confronted him. AJ was very short to answer any questions and he maintained a terrible attitude throughout the entire experience. After trying to scam us my mom thought it was best that we leave. We walked out and my mother called a nearby Verizon store. They explained the deal that we should have been offered unfortunately we were not. We went back in and explained what the nearby Verizon told us and AJ knew that he was in the wrong. He did not admit it, he acted as if we were crazy and went to the computer. After pulling up our plan again he tried scamming us once again- luckily his fellow coworker realized this and called him out. My mother explained that she would continue to work with AJ if he was honest with us- she admitted that she was getting sketchy vibes from him. This infuriated AJ, he then got up and walked to look for someone else to help us. AJ aggressively started arguing with me and my mom and told us that, we should "take our business back to our home town." As we stood there in utter shock AJ started walking towards us maintaining that aggressive manner. I was concerned for the safety of my mom up until his coworker stepped in front of him and pulled him off. AJ walked outside to "cool down." He was shouting and laughing at the situation. My mother and I did not think it was funny but rather unprofessional. We then were directed to another Verizon employee who was honest with us and guided us through the correct deals and plans. We left happy with an upgraded phone but ultimately AJ should terminated from his job. Not only because of the lack of professionalism but the aggressive mannerism that me and my mother had to deal with the entire visit- unfortunately. read more

I had a great experience buying my wife's new phone from Blake a few weeks ago, so when I decided to trade I called and asked for him. Preston answered and encouraged me to come in and see him, as Blake was not there. Preston tried to interest me in an LG phone I did not want, and finally admitted that the Samsung model I wanted was not in their stock. He told me he could get me out for under $150.00 for another Samsung model I decided on. The bill was $198.00. He told me I would have to do some of the new phone set up because "their wireless was slow, and it would take too long". I told him politely that I was not happy with that. It didn't matter. I am still trying to accomplish the set up at home, looking at you tube videos! It was a few minutes past closing so I guess he wanted to leave. Also, he was preoccupied the whole time with another customer who had left and not come back, and even made a call to someone right in the middle to helping me to ask what he should do about the other customer. I am a customer service professional, and am quick to compliment those who do a good job. I was very displeased with this visit to the Verizon store in Dayton. read more
