Paolo H. was professional, knowledgeable, engaging and very understanding when we had questions about the process of upgrading an old phone. We left the store with a shiny new phone that was completely loaded with all of our data and apps, had a liquid screen saver applied flawlessly, and was up-and-running right away!! If I could give this store ZERO star, I would. I came in today to get a replacement SIM card that other Verizon store would not charge for it, but here they were asking $20 for this SIM + Activation. I simply responded, and linked Verizon Policy which the person I was talking to, gave me a used SIM card and ask me to leave the store and call Verizon to Activate it by myself. I double-checked everything, the ICCID from this SIM that was given to me, was already registered to a different number. Right now, I can't even use my own line which I pay for it. Totally Unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude. I don't recommend this store at all, if you can, visit another branch. read more

I made the switch from Android to iPhone after my 6-year-old Google phone died. It was a complicated switch because of the change in OS and because I'd neglected to save my text messages and photos. Since the Google phone had died completely when I went into the Baltimore Ave (Laurel, MD) store, I knew the chances were slim that all my old phone data would transfer over. Patrice worked wonders for me and was able to get most of my data back. She explained everything that she was doing in terms I could understand and patiently answered my abundant new-to-iPhone questions. She even got my Yahoo email and calendar set up -- a calendar I could never get to sync with my Google phone. Patrice set me up with an iPad and spent maybe an hour tutoring me on all its functionality. I returned to the store a few days later for help in getting my Amazon account set up, which required the Apple password I'd forgotten . Patrice was not in, but I lucked out again with Adebole, a computer whiz who somehow set up a new password and got the Amazon app with my videos and Kindle fully functioning. Patrice and Adebole were not only highly knowledgeable but unfailingly kind and patient with my technical inexperience. I am delighted with my purchases and with the customer service I received. read more

Skip this authorized retailer and visit a full Verizon store/location if you can. Idk why they removed the 'Authorized Retailer' sign from outside but don't be fooled, this is Cellular Sales dba Verizon Wireless. Unnecessary fees and poor customer service. Can't believe they wanted me to pay $35 on top of the upgrade fee that VZW already charges. Some jive about THEY HAVE to transfer your data over in store and the phones/devices can't be shipped to your home address. First, that should be an option if I wish to come to the store to have them transfer my data. Second, why make an unnecessary visit back to this location when I'm capable of doing this at home?? Then if you ever have issues with the transaction you can't reach out to VZW directly, you'd have to deal with the authorized retailer. NO THANKS. I will never visit this location as long as it's operating as an authorized retailer for Verizon. read more

June 3, 2024 I went into the Verizon store on Baltimore Ave in Laurel, MD. The encounter with Devan Miles was initially pleasant. I now realize that I provided TMI when I expressed how tired I was but needed to resolve the issue of my non-working iPhone. Long-story short, this individual hid the fact that he was selling me a used phone. When I inquired about other options, he told me they were out of stock and that any phone I wanted would need to be ordered, therefore I proceeded with the purchase of the offered phone believing there were no other purchase options and that the phone was new. Once I arrived home I noticed the receipt was stapled under other documents and stated the phone I received was used and the box had a sticker that said open box item. I went back to the authorized Verizon store the very next morning. I relayed the details of my experience the previous night and the representative was shocked hearing the details. Stating that there were plenty of phones available, new and unopened in the back. interesting enough, there was no price difference between the new and the used phone sold to me but I exchanged the used phone for a new phone without the $50 restocking fee. Devan Miles also stated that there would be no application fees, but this was not true. There was a lot of information not provided and untruths that were told by this person. I never write reviews but I'm sharing a brief version of my experience to prevent the same from happening to someone else. To remedy the situation, I did have good experiences with Angie Kline and Ben Tubbs. My recommendation is to thoroughly review all receipts and paperwork prior to signing and leaving the any store. Also, to avoid an individual name Devan Miles, but most important I recommend going to a corporate Verizon store instead of an authorized Verizon store. Otherwise, you end up paying extra unnecessary fees and complaints go by unaddressed. Thank you. read more

I had an issue with my phone. I stopped by Verizon in Halethorpe (on Washington Blvd) and the guy there was NO HELP. He told me I need to buy a new phone. I left. I then went to Verizon in Laurel and I spoke with Esau Bermudez who did a soft restart and my phone is now working PERFECTLY. Thank you so much Esau you are a real asset to the company. During black Friday, Note 8 was 30% off from verizon. A salesman at this store kept saying it was 50% off. I asked multiple times if it's 50%, not 30%. He assured me it was 50%. I told him I spoke with Verizon Wireless directly, the salesman had the audacity to say, "no Verizon Wireless is wrong." At that point, I said "fine, im already here." Lo and behold, I get my bill credit, its 30% off. Go to the actual verizon wireless store. Sales people here are willing to Lie to you to make a sale. Dont support businesses like this. read more

I honestly wish there was a way to give negative stars to an establishment. I first visited this Verizon store a few weeks ago when pre-ordering for the new iPhone started. Granted when I walked in, they were busy; however no one acknowledged my presence...I waited as they were working... nearly half an hour later, I still had not been acknowledged OR checked in. I said screw it, I'll do this a later time, and left. Fast forward to today... It was dejavu... walked in, not acknowledged, waited, checked out the phones and accessories. A rep did tell the couple next to me that someone would be with them shortly. Was I acknowledged? Nope. Another rep asked the same couple if they had been checked in... he then proceeded to walk past me. Mind you by this time if been there nearly twenty minutes... I said screw this this is ridiculous. As I got up to leave after finding another Verizon store nearby, wouldn't you know it, a rep finally got off his ass and said he would check me in. I told him that I was going to another store because they provide crappy service. I came to the Verizon store in Columbia on Snowden River Pkwy... the moment I walked in...like magic there was a rep right at the door to check me in (but that will be in another review). If you are looking for a Verizon store, the location in Laurel on Baltimore Ave... DON'T GO. Unless you enjoy eating your time to receive crap service that is. read more

Inconsistent, poor customer service. Verizon is known for shitty service. I guess they think having a large market-share precludes the need to serve their customer base. The guy I talked to was very rude. I came in to get my new phone activated since my previous one got stolen and as I was telling him the story, he just kept making faces to me as if I made the wrong mistake with my new phone. Then he asked me what I have been using for all this time and I said that I would just use WiFi since it isn't a huge issue for me. He made a face kind of in disgust and it honestly made me unsure about my decision on coming here. He then told me that I had an issue with the current SIM card I have and I had to use their phone to contact my dad about it. I gave them the phone with my dad on the line so he can tell him the issue and after the phone call, I hear him and one of his coworkers talking about a customer rudely behind her back. I'm here disgusted that they would do that in front of another customer and then I hear them talking about my dad WHILE IM RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. That was very disrespectful of them and then my dad called them back since he had to talk to corporate about the phone lines and stuff. This guy tells my dad that I would need to buy a new SIM card for $20 and corporate said that Verizon should sell them for free since he's under their plan and all. The guy denies that and says that SIM card prices at this location are $20 and the price continues to go up every few months. My dad automatically didn't believe them and after they hang up, he rolls his eyes at me and proceeds to say "so your dad would rather spend a whole week to get a free SIM card instead of instantly getting one from us that's just $20". I am very shocked at this poor customer service and I am also very disgusted with how they would talk about their customers disrespectfully like that behind their backs. How can you say...no star material without making a business lose even more business? Me&my fiancé come to get his pictures moved to his new phone. To start; he's had to get 3 replacements for his droid&even though they were nice bout it, they were very uninformative of what's wrong with it&why they just gave him a replacement for free. But we get to this location 8 minutes before it opens, God forbid they do the right thing and let their customers in while their waitin in the hot ass weather. I work at a clothing store, you see customers a few early, let em in. It's a business. Then to top it off, we get let in&we ask the guy can he move the pictures&we explain how the memory card is in the new phone but didn't move all the pictures for whatever reason, for the next ten minutes, I am calmly trying to explain to him the simple fact that the pictures wouldn't all move. Finally something comes on in his head&he says he'll try. He comes out, "It's reading, it could POSSIBLY work. 30 minutes." if my laptop was working, I could go&do this in under a 1/3 that time. As far as I'm concerned, they are unprofessional, &bad business people. I didn't believe this could get worse, until now. Thankfully, I have Sprint&customer service has been pretty damn good for me. If I could go any lower in rating trust me I would..first things first I get there 10 minutes early walk up to the door & the one guy that's in there puts up his hands & said 10 more minutes. So I walked back to my car pissed off to wait for 10 more minutes. So 10 minutes past finally get into the store trying to get this stuff done before noon cause you know most people do not wanna sit around Verizon all day. So for another 10 minutes I'm explaining to this guy that that I have to move my pictures to my old phone to new phone he said to me it my work might not work so I'm like okay just try it anyway the he said okay it'll take up to half an hour I said to my said "are you kidding me." Maybe I'm just lucky...but I've always had great experiences in this store. Ask for Earl...if there's a solution he will find it for you. Have come in on 2 different occasions with problems customer service over the phone deemed unfixable. Earl found a way to fix things for me both times without costing me an arm and a leg. Wow that's some bad reviews....... My experience was that they were friendly fast and knowledgeable. My problem was I needed a wall charger. They showed me the one I wanted and then advised me that they sold a package that had an portable power pack included! I would recommend this location to people. I sat and waited while there were 5 employees working and only one other customer in the store. The staff has no idea what they are doing and on top of this MARK was completely rude. On top of this the "manager" said he would approve an upgrade and left the store. When I finally got up to the counter the employees said that he never approved it.
