My experience at this "authorized Verizon" dealer was unsettling, to say the least. The individual who helped me was Jay. With behavior that was condescending and arrogant, Jay treated me with disdain, making me feel stupid because I am 75 years old and not familiar with all the au courant cell phone lingo. Manipulating the transaction with verbiage beyond the understanding of any educated person, I thought I had purchased a new iPhone 17 Pro Max at a good price point. After signing the paperwork, Jay informed me my phone wouldn't be available for weeks, and I would have to wait until someone from Verizon contacted me. However, my new plan would start immediately despite not having a new phone. Jay rushed me out of the store because he had someone waiting for him. The next day, my iPhone 11, which I've had for years, began malfunctioning and was unable to connect to a cellular network without an Internet connection. I called to speak with Jay, who said, "Okay, but I have another customer in 40 minutes." I rushed over to the store, and in a haughty manner, Jay asked, "What do you want me to do? I have never heard of anyone having this problem. Do you want me to remove the SIM card?" I had no clue if this would work, and besides, mysteriously, my phone began working normally when Jay did something to reboot it. Shrugging it off, he said, "You can't cancel anything until you have a new phone, and I have no idea when that might arrive." He looked away, and my wife and I walked out of the store. Feeling nervous, I phoned Verizon and canceled everything --the new order and the new plan, despite what Jay had told me. While I cannot comment on this store, I can unequivocally advise everyone to avoid Jay like the plague. Jay obviously shouldn't be working with members of the human race since Jay's superiority allows for no empathy or kindness. We are all garbage compared to Jay. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. Tried to trade in my phone here and I had to come in SEVEN times for them to assist me. Twice they turned me away at the door. Once because they said they had no service and could not process anything but the worker said he was staying open to get his paycheck - even though he could not process a single thing. Second time I was turned away was because they closed in an hour and he told me it would take 3 hours. When I came back the next day it took 30 minutes. Lazy, disrespectful, and outright rude workers - Christian and Jay specifically. All they care about is SELLING TO YOU. The workers literally talked about how all they care about is scoring points with Verizon's system via selling and commission. So messed up. read more

Highly recommend going to a Verizon corporate store that offers service and troubleshooting. This place just wants to SELL you stuff and upgrades. Was having a tech issue with my phone a month ago. Sales guy there said it was a know problem and not fixable. Just took my phone to a Verizon corporate store in Bloomington and a tech there knew what the issue was and how to fix it. Went back to Russell/Verizon shop to let the guy know that my problem was fixed and what the fix was so he could help other customers with this issue. He could have cared less. Told me they were not a Verizon store (even though the only signage outside is VERIZON) and they were not allowed to do a SIM upgrade that fixed my issue. This Russell/Verizon location seems to have a LOT of turnover with reps that lack any problem solving skills. Last time I will do business at this store. Got totally scammed by this store. Last year I bought a very expensive screen guard (several times the price of a regular one) from this store, on the promise that any time it broke or cracked, I could come back to the store and it would be replaced for free, on the spot. Lifetime guarantee. It was pricey but I am clumsy with my phone! so I bought it. Just went back today for the free replacement, and was informed "Oh we don't do that anymore." What a scam! I am not going to name the individual salespeople as I don't blame them, they are obviously being instructed to sell customers on false "deals" that the store has no intention of actually honoring. read more

I have been to this store many times over the last few years. Each time the staff has been helpful whether my need was related to equipment, service plans, or helping me understand how to use various features. Since the ownership changed recently, my experience has only improved, including just yesterday where the owner of the store took 45 minutes to help my mom clean up my parents' account to right size their data plan, with a pretty good cost savings each month, and also worked with her to fix an ongoing issue with her tablet. He made nothing from this transaction, but with this kind of customer service he's earned a long term customer. read more

Please read all the reviews on this store!!! I was hesitant to go in after reading the reviews but thought maybe I'd have a different experience. Nope..... Terrible experience! I went in to buy my kids a Phone for Christmas and was going to possibly trade in their old phones to get a credit on the new devices. That wasn't possible because I didn't have the phones with me and I wanted the new phones to be a surprise for Christmas. I decided to purchase the phones outright and not do the payment plan. I did tell the CR (Justin) this and he wrote it up as a Verizon Plan instead. I told him I just wanted to buy the phones but he then told me it would be $100 more per phone to do it that way . Wanting to save a little money (I don't believe a word he said now and probably should have just left the store) I agreed. I then drove home to my wife talking to my kids about the new Phone text they both just received. So much for a Christmas present! I called the store and he told me he couldn't stop all the text Verizon sends out and refused to give me his last name. Side note.....I had to tell he and the other employee based on a quick email I received in the store about how many days after devise purchase I could add Verizons protection plan. One guy said it had to be done same day and my CR said it had to be done in 14 days. Actual answer and I'm not a Verizon employee..... 30 days. They have no clue what they are talking about!!!! I normally do not write bad reviews but I spent 30-40 explaining how this was a Christmas present and then my kids find out before I even left the store. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! I have had great service at my local Verizon store until recently!! Could not make a plan change there and when I went in today with a quick return and there were two employees working. One of them had sold me the charger a couple days before and he was helping a family. The other, Antigua, was at the register checking someone out and there was one man waiting. She rudely told me I would have to come back on Monday since they were closing in 10 minutes. I told her it was a simple, quick return but she said they would not have time to help me. Terrible service and after I return the charger, I will never give them my Verizon business again. Did not realize they are not even an authorized official store and while they can sell you phones and plans, when I went to cancel my elderly father's phone I couldn't even do it there. Very deceptive. I would go to an authorized Verizon dealer. You can't return anything you buy there, anywhere else. Go to any other Verizon store!! read more

Rep was helpful and knowledgeable, but store is understaffed and carries no stock of phones most people want (Samsung,iPhone). This store is a franchise so their systems/information connection to Verizon corporate is limited. Nothing accomplished/total waste of time. First, just let me say that I've never written a negative review online about anything but I feel like these guys are so untrustworthy potential patrons deserve a warning. I bought a phone from this location 6 weeks ago and am still reeling from the experience. Upon activating my new iphone (which I had to wait a week for them to order and ship because they don't stock any in the store?!?!) the rep reviewed my plan said that I am not using what I'm paying for an advised I lower it to save money. I declined but he pushed and pushed and pushed assuring me that absolutely nothing would change in my data, text, calls- the only difference would be a lower monthly bill. I eventually agreed and have had nothing but trouble since. My data was basically non existent so the phone only worked if it was on a wifi. I went to two different out of state verizon locations (because of course I was traveling during this nightmare)- both were unable to even access the account because of something the Edina location did. Finally someone was able to get in by placing a call to headquarters and getting someone to override the block- then said she didn't even recognize the plan they had put me on because it's ancient and they haven't used it in years. She said the only time they see it is when people haven't updated their phones or plans in 10 years. Essentially the data portion of the plan was the slowest and least reliable I could possibly be on- after Edina assured me it would be absolutely no different. In addition when I bought the phone the rep said "I'm going to throw in a screen protector for you because the screens on these new phones are more delicate than you're probably used to." When I reviewed my bill afterwards the screen protector he "threw in" was listed as a $50 charge. I immediately returned it and bought a 3 pack of the exact same protector on Amazon for $8.99. I have never been more disappointed with a customer service experience in my life. Please don't waste your time with these guys, there are plenty of nearby locations that are hopefully more reputable than these guys. read more

This is a fake Verizon store. Have you ever gone to a USPS location only to find yourself at a grocery store that has nothing to do with USPS but will insist that they are a legit USPS office because they sell stamps? Well this store is like that. They are an "authorized reseller" for Verizon which means that they sell phones and new plans but they cannot do anything else. But they will sure lie to you about it. I came in to switch my temporary verizon number and they kept making up various issues around my request instead of straight up telling me they are not a real Verizon store. After a lot of intentionally misleading back and forth, including a made up problem with the SIM, they told me I needed to go to a "corporate location". I had to ask several times what that means - surely I didn't need to go to Verizon's corporate headquarters for a simple port in request? - and they wouldn't tell me, until finally they confessed to being an independently owned reseller, not an actual Verizon store, and not carrying any SIMs. All in all, I wasted about an hour at this store, only to have to drive to an actual Verizon store, where they took care of my request in 5 minutes with no issues. read more

I don't even know where to start.... aerial westad and this store have been nothing short of hell for me and my family. Ariel Westad stayed late one night for my husband and I to come in and get plans for us and our kids. She told me that my plan would be $25 a month and my kids his plans would be $20 a month with a nurse discount. The next day I found out that they had signed me up for insurance without even asking. That was $50 a month. A few days after that I found out that they signed me up for the complete wrong plans! A few more days after that I found out they charged me for activation fees that I didn't even realize and were never informed of and they even ordered the wrong phone for one of my sons. When I went to go and review all of the receipts and everything that had happened we realized that aerial had FORGED my signature on the contract pages. This is completely not OK so I'm going to be looking at some kind of arbitration if it's not resolved very quickly. We have spent hours in the store. Such horrible communication...This is honestly the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my entire life. If I was you I would absolutely stay clear of Verizon wireless in Perham and stay clear of Ariel. She clearly has no idea what she's doing and it seems to me that the company also has no regard for customer service because the manager above her was supposed to call and he clearly hasn't either....the regional manager who works directly for Verizon has been trying to work through this with me thank goodness bc the store is no help! read more
